The 96 Jaguars made NFL.com's Top 10 biggest upsets in NFL history
The Jaguars 1996 team's victory over the Broncos at Mile High made the top 10 biggest upsets in NFL history. Pretty impressive! This is a great link because it has an awesome highlight clip attached. Check it out! Gotta love Brian Sextons call during the game. From the Falcons missed field goal to the game against the Broncos, what a great year for the Jags!
Could the Jaguars be contemplating trading for Glen Dorsey?
Vic: I don’t know if the Jags are interested or not but I can think of one reason why a team needing a defensive tackle might be interested: The Chiefs paid his signing bonus, which means you’d be getting him at a bargain price and a low cap number. What trading for Dorsey would come down to, for any team, is what you’d have to give in the way of draft picks, your opinion of Dorsey as a player and, of course, he’d have to submit to and pass a physical exam.

DeCamillis suffers broken back as storm levels Cowboys' facility
"I saw it coming down and didn't have time to react," Cowboys secondary coach Dave Campo said. "I hit the ground and was able to get back up."
DeCamillis, hired by the Cowboys a few months ago, likely will need surgery to fix "a couple of broken vertebrae" in his lower back but is expected to recover, said his father-in-law, Dan Reeves, a longtime NFL coach.
DeCamillis was among 10 people taken away by emergency vehicles. Two others went to hospitals on their own.
"Right now, I think we don't have anybody who is in a life-threatening situation," said Dr. Paul Pepe, head of emergency medical services for Dallas County.

Jimmy Smith in trouble again...
Talk about trying hard to keep yourself out of the "Jaguars Ring of Honor." I just heard on WOKV news talk radio during the "Jaguars This Week" show that Jimmy Smith was arrested for driving on a suspended license. I know this is a minor offence, but come on, how stupid. I just can't understand these guys. Well, atleast we don't have to worry about any suspensions with J. Smith and I don't think we will have to worry about this kind of stuff with T. Holt.
Is Vic eluding to Harvin being the #8 pick of the Jaguars?
Percy Harvin, Florida Gators
I may be way off base on this but today I was reading "Ask Vick" and it sure sounded like he was eluding to the Jaguars possibly taking Percy Harvin with the 8th overall pick in the draft. Check out these questions and answers if you havn't read today's column.
#1. Q. Now that the combine is over, who do you rank as the top 10 picks?
Vic: 1. Aaron Curry, 2. Matt Stafford, 3. Eugene Monroe, 4. B.J. Raji, 5. Rey Maualuga, 6. Vontae Davis, 7. Mark Sanchez, 8. Percy Harvin, 9. Michael Oher, 10. Chris Wells.
#2. Q. Harvin or Crabtree?
Vic: Harvin.
What do you guys think. Would Percy Harvin be a good pick at #8?
Jaguars will be on WKMG - CBS in Orlando...Dispite outrage by Fish fans
Here is what has been going on in my neck of the woods. The local CBS station is under contract by the Jaguars and the NFL to broadcast the Jaguars-Ravens game instead of the Dolphins - Jets game. The local Fish fans are a bit upset, to say the least. Orlando is the Jaguars' "second team market area" and the local CBS affiliate is required by contract to show all of the Jaguars away games. Even the local newspaper writer adds fuel to the fire about this dispute between the network and the local Dolphin fans.
I however, am very glad that this is going to happen. You see, I live in Cocoa and drive 2 and a half hours every home game weekend to see the Jags play in Jacksonville. I don't know anyone around here or in Orlando that drives to the Dolphins game. Jacksonville is geographically much closer than Miami. The fans that buy home tickets and attend the games deserve to see the away games on TV. When the TV contracts are agreed upon, there is no way to know what teams will be playing for this late in the year. It does suck that the Fins, Bucs, and Jags can't all be on TV here locally, but I think the Jaguars fans that go to the games do deserve to see the away games on TV.
Check out these two articles and postings in the Orlando Sentinel. Feel free to comment or post as they do not require any registration. The article writen by Jerry Greene is extreemly bias and rediculous. Just check it out for yourselves. Very amusing.

Sunday before kickoff party or event?
Alright! Another exciting week of Jaguars football! This is the game that I have been looking forward to the most to this point in the season. Prime time Sunday Night Football, the Steelers, John Madden on the mic, it doesn't get any better than this. Well, if we win the game, that would be better.
Anyone going to the game? I have season tickets and I'm bringing my girlfriend's sister and her boyfriend who are huge Jags fans (thanks to Reggie Nelson). They are fom Palm Bay, where Nelson went to High School, and are very excited to attend there first Jaguars game.
We are driving from Cocoa, FL and are staying in the Hyatt next to the Landing. My question is does anyone know if anything is going on during the day prior to the game down town? We're just looking for a Jaguar themed pregame celebration somewhere. Please let me know if you can think of any place that would be fun to go to prior to the game. Thanks for your help, enjoy the game, and GO JAGS!!!
Jerry Porter participates in practice Monday
Jerry Porter was participating in practice today, according to jaguars.com. It is still unknown when Porter will be activated and participate in a game. Jack Del Rio has stated that he would like Porter to practice for two weeks prior to a game start. We'll see soon enough if this holds true. If Porter can put together a solid practice with Garrard this week, it still remains possible that we'll see him play in the opener at Tennessee. Only time will tell. Del Rio said he would update the media on Porter's status later on this week. For now, it's just fun to speculate when he will be back.
Thursday nights TV schedule
I know it's the last, and probably least important game of the pre-season, but I still want to watch the whole thing! However, this may not happen. I just read on www.jacksonville.com that the end of the game could possibly get cut off due to the coverage of the Democratic National Convention beginning at 10pm. That give the game three hours to be completed, since the game begins at 7pm. The Jags-Tampa game lasted 3 hours, 6 minutes. Again, I know it was preseason, but could you die hard Jaguars fans imagine not seeing that slightly dramatic finish? I will be so pissed if that Obama fool inturupts my game with his meaningless acceptance speech. I just thought I would share that with all of you. It may not happen, if the game is shorter than 3 hours, but if it does, I'm voting form McCain for sure!!! Not that I wouldn't anyway...
Joe Horn would be a great addition to a depleated WR group in Jax.
Joe Horn can still play. He has been released from the Falcons and his agent has mentioned Jacksonville as a possible team with need for a veteran WR such as Horn. I have always been a fan of his since his days with the Saints. Although his best "probowl" days are probably behind him, I think he would be a great gap filler (Sammy Knight type) at the position given the injury situation. What do you think?
Rivers signs 6-year deal with Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals signed first-round pick Keith Rivers on Tuesday night, leaving the Jaguars with the only unsigned first-round pick, Derrick Harvey. Rivers missed a total of 12 practices with his holdout. Harvey's contract negotiation will be interesting to watch again following this signing. It could be the missing information needed to close a deal with the rookie defensive end. It will be interesting to see where the money is on the Rivers deal. Hopfully, it wasn't insane like the top 7 signings and will leave some room for the Jags and Harvey to close the gap.
Mike Peterson seeks new deal from Jags
Now Mike Pete. wants more money? I was reading an article on NFL.com and it stated that Mike Peterson was unhappy with his contract and wants more money. Has anyone heard any other news on this? With this and the Harvey contract, the Jaguars are going to have a hard time affording this defense. I think the Jags should pay Peterson. He is the heart and soul of the defense. Harvey, on the other hand, is simply a prospect. Good luck Mike, you deserve it. To Harvey, good luck finding a spot once you finally join the team!
Jaguar babies... The next generation of Jag fans!
via a527.ac-images.myspacecdn.com
I'm 29 and a Jacksonville native. I have always liked NFL football but was, of course, a huge Gator fan growing up as the son of an alumnus. I do still like the Orange and Blue, but, I'm even more a Jags fan since 1995. I was hooked from the first few plays of Brunell to Smith!
Now, I'm all grown up and have a 7 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. Both of which are HUGE Jags fans, an they'll be the first to tell you! Not old enough to realize what plays are going on, but old enough to cheer and have fun at the games.
What great memories I have of going to the Jags games and bonding with my mother and father. Now, I take my children and we are creating memories that , in there minds, will last forever. Anyway, long story short, the Jaguar babies are coming very soon to a stadium near you! My babies are already in the stands right next to me as the "next" generation of fans. As they grow up WITH the Jaguars, the teams ticket sales and fan base will have NO limits. We, and our offspring, WILL be filling up the stadium on a regular basis VERY soon!!!
Will the Jaguars surpass the Colts in the AFC South?
Will the jaguars become the 2008 AFC South Champions? That's the BIG question buzzing around Jacksonville heading into training camp. Did they make the right free agent moves? Will the bold trade in the draft payoff with two rookie DE's? All questions that will be answered soon enough when the players play. But let's see what the fans think. I know this is Jagsonville, but lets try to be unbias just for this poll. I'm really interested to know that deep down inside our souls, do we believe the Jaguars WILL be sitting on top of this tough division come December. Don't count out the Titans and the up and comming Texans from putting up a fight. Remember, the Titans, no pun intended, still made the playoffs last year. Let's see what you REALLY think. Rember, be honest!
