Brunell, the greatest Jag QB is retiring
He announced his plans to retire soon. I say sign him for the preseason and let him start the last home preseason game.
Yay! We let Douzable go to the Titans! Woo!
This is a mistake, letting him stay in-division. Same thing happened with both NE OLs that started their career in Jax and are now all-pros.
This is a list of all free agents for this year
A bit inaccurate, but it sure gives me ideas!
MJD? He still is leading the race!
Despite a close-but-no-cigar loss to the Titans...Maurice Jones-Drew managed somehow to run for 103 yards in 24 carries and a touchdown and also added six catches for 21 more. Starting the game leading by roughly sixty yards, LeSean McCoy managed thirty-five yards in thirteen carries. He is now roughly one hundred and twenty-five yards ahead. He needs to pull a century yards next week and McCoy would need to pull 200. Go Jaguars!
Poor Britt
Sorry for the titans, that is awful for them, like if Lewis tore his ACL and MCL

Good news for one of our old WRs
Feel good story for me at least, Nate Hughes is a RN, thats awesome in my opinion. Since I believe we dont play the Lions, I hope Hughes takes off and becomes like the number 2 or 3 under Calvin Johnson
Such Insightful commentary (laugh)
This NFP guy tries to press the idea of Gabbert in Week 1 starting, but I feel non-convincingly.

-Interestingly they had Mike Pouncey going late in the second, he would be valuable as a guard. While on a UF binge, WIll Hill goes in the 7th to Tampa
-We do not draft a safety here, which I think is not right. With GS' track record he grabs a handful of the same posisition in the same draft, so I would think the defensive backfield is his handful this year with a few LBs.
-I do understand this is a numbers based computer simulation, yet I believe it is true somewhat. The 1st run had a TE picked in the 2nd round which seems ludicrous. A DE in the 1st seems like a stretch as well, he might wait for Lane or Hart to become full, true DEs which would solidify the line
Lane/Hart, Alualu, Knighton, Harvey?
The weird thing with the DL is Alualu is crosstrained as a DE, which would allow him if not full time, to let DA Smith step in and put Alualu on the edge. Think of the older Tony Brackens, who did about the reverse a few years ago (02-03 timeframe).
There has been nothing like this
To everyone, lets hold our horses just a week more. We are in uncharted territory.
Never has a Jaguar team been in contention for the AFC South in Week 17, even with help....
Yes, give us two more victories, make us 10-5 right now, and we are AFC South Champions.
But, we must go back to the greatest season I have ever known for us, the Jaguars....1996
We were in contention for a WildCard in Week 17. One missed FG made the difference. Are we the same team?
No, not at all....our top two recievers are not AFC leaders, our QB can run it, can pass it, does make errors? Yes, Check. Our RB is a solid middle-of-the-pack? No, he is elite and one of the best in the game right now...however his back up is not even middle-of-the pack.
Did we play the Redskins in OT and lose? Yes
Were we blown out several times? Yes
Were we expected to do anything? No, just like 1996
Was our leading RB injured late in the season? Yes (he came back later)
and the most important........Are we tied with the Colts for the very last ticket? Yes......is this the year we do it again finally?
Are we yet again, the team of destiny?
H/T Vic Ketchman
Do not dwell. It does well to remember, remember all it takes is the sixth. We do the best from it anyways.
(idea from Surteal's) My Garrard Argument with stats
Strangely if you put where David was drafted into contention, he seems to be much better relatively. He was eight years ago, a fourth round pick! Comparing him to the other fourth rounder QBs of the 2002 to 2010 period, he is by far the best.
One other Quarterback was selected in the 4th round, 2002
Rohan Davey, of LSU
His career stats with NE and then Arizona were with 7 games played (from 02-04 with NE), 8 for 19 for 88 yards with no Tds nor INTs, and ran 6 times for -6 yards with no fumbles
2003
Seneca Wallace, as QB/WR
Career Stats:
In 2003 and 2004 he recorded no stats, and from 2005-present, he is overall 396 for 656, for 4240 yards, 29 Touchdowns, and 16 INTs. He was sacked 49 times overall, and rushed 61 times for 223 yards and one touchdown in his career to this point. He is starting in Cleveland and started quite often in Seattle. He was not a QB always though! He was actually a rather good 3rd or 4th WR.
2004
Surprisingly…Luke McCown
2005
Stefan LeFors
Career Stats:
Selected by Carolina, he sadly never played at all in his one season, 2005
2006
Brad Smith of the NY Jets, his stats are inconsequential due to not being played as a QB for the majority of any one game in his career, but as an option variant.
Strangely no quarterbacks were selected in the fourth round in either 2007 or 2008
Following the three year rule, the 2009 and 2010 drafts were not reviewed.
Scotty McGee suffered a broken scapula and nerve damage while taking a hit in the final presason game....Yahoo
That explains why he was sent to IR.
Looks like Matthews got the axe for Wilford
Well, i guess this was most plausible considering what happened last year against AZ with Hughes...I find it rather quick though
Manning complains about ump posistion for the 4th time
This has abviously been done to satisfy the most marketable NFL player, but a glaring opening for the colts is if Manning is running in spread with only Addai next to him (not even set back) he can hurry up and snap it

There were numerous former Gators cut, and several ex-Jaguars. The list is taken from NFL.com, however it is interesting several rumoured cuts didn't happen or were trades instead!
A surprise pick-up at RB....could it come to something?
Basically Kolby Smith was signed as depth for the PS, probably won't make it as he has about equal skill to Jennings
Predict the wins if you can!
Denver? We win in a normal close opener and Tebow to everyones sigh doesn't take the field, 27-24
SD? In a game no one cares about, we lose close, call it 21-17
Philly? We light it up through the air for once Kolb vs. DG (4TDs), 31-27
Indy? I dont want to say it but probably a last second lost
Buffalo? We hold true at the end like before, call it 21-17
Tenn? 35-10 win, MJD goes big, 4TDs
KC? 20-17 (5-2)
Dallas? 28-21 (5-3)
Hou? 24-21 (6-3)
Cleve? we get them back by beating Cribbs at his forte, Karim and McGee combine for three return TDs..42-14 (7-3)
NYG? Probably a hard game that comes down to rushing yards 24-13 (7-4)
Tenn? MJD/Karim outduel CJ in a game featuring the most rushing yards in the NFL for 2010.........45-31 (8-4)
Oak? like before in 2007 but more like 1996, 13-10 (9-4)
Indy? sadly obvious, its probaly the nat'l CBS 1pm game, pick your score and heartbreak (9-5)
Wash? DG falls short over shooting the 5'7 MJD down the sideline as time expires, call it 24-17 (9-6)
Hou? On battle red day DG rises to the occasion and in a hard track meet of a game, call it 28-25 (10-6)
WILDCARD-----Jags make 6th seed over the Titans, face #3 Ravens, win at the end, call your score (11-6)
DIVISIONALS---#6 go on the road and knock off the #1 Colts (12-6)
AFC Title Game-----David Garrard in a sad recompense of 1996, on the last play, a hook and ladder, fumbles the lateral from Deji Karim and it is returned by NE Corner William Gay Jags lose 21-7
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Jags OFF MVP-----MJD
Jags DEF MVP-----Alualu
Head Rule Change
Now, everyone is protected by the helmet rule....if an OL uses his head in blocking a DL IT WILL BE A 15YD PENALTY!........interestingly we won't ever see the helmetless supermanlike plays anymore, but if you could knock the helmet off of a runner the play is whistled dead even if he isn't down!
Also new this season, when a player loses his helmet, the play is immediately whistled dead. And now, during field-goal and extra-point attempts, the defense cannot position any player on the line directly across from the snapper, who's considered to be in a defenseless position. i.e Snapper Fake!
Extremely awesome simulator...Could the 1999 Jaguars have beat the Titans?
You can pair any team against another, even the 2007 Jaguars versus the 1999 Jags!
Jaguars lose SuperBowl 45 to the saints
Its a Blog thing, but in the attached movie, the Jaguars are the losing team.....but hey in Madden we are AFC title winners next year!
Look ahead! Jaguars 2010 Special Specialteams!
After suffering dumbly through another Jaguar bashing website (CBSSports)........I figure we should look back to look ahead......
At Punter 2010? Most likely, it will again be Adam Podlesh. He is not a great punter, and probably never will be. It is understood that Bryan Barker was the greatest Jaguar punter (especially his eighty yard punt on MNF in ?1999?). Chris Hanson was good until axing his leg, he is now in New England, still going. However with Podlesh was have had the greatest Punt Coverage teams to ever wear the teal! With Osgood and Owens the gunners, it will be the best coverage teams ever for the teal...
The Returners are fun to guess for 2010....The WaberJaguar believes it will be Deji Karim and Scotty McGee at KR and McGee at PR....the last great returner for the Jaguars was obviously, MJD of 2006/2007; however it is surprising Witherspoon of 2008 was a much better PR then him.....however despite a pair of KR TDs for MJD and a 96-yarder in the WildCard, he had no PR longer than 30 yards.....Northcutt to Starks against OAK in 2007 was the longest PR for the Jaguars since 2002's TD.....Barlow was the best PR however for the Jaguars and that was 2000! I think McGee will be amazing though, because he is the first PR since MJD to actually have returned multiple Punts for TDs in college, and probably will be better then Barlow or Chad Owens or Jermaine Lewis
Kicker doesnt really need to be discussed, I hope Scooby-doo will dooo better
MJD is ranked by CBSSports
Literally refuse, MJD is ranked 5th in the NFL...when easily had it not been for some cakewalk games and if MJD hadn't been taken out of the Titans game, he is by far better then CJ
FoxSports previews the AFC South
It is an interesting take, with the only writer who supports the Jaguars overhauled D-Line...the Jags are 70-1 odds for SB victory....However, Danny Clark is now a Texan, and Pola jumped ship to the Titans, I hope the Titans rungame tanks and we have MJD rush for 2000 yards!
Jaguars ranked by ESPN
Just a playlist video, not even well thought out (Jags are bad, bla bla bla), I just didnt know Kuharsky was a Titans beat writer till 08! SO hmm he seems to hate the Jags 9 of 10 times...
