NBA free agency: Rockets, Reggie Williams agree to 2-year contract By Scott Schroeder  @ScottSchroeder on Jul 10 2013, 4:55p +

Reggie Williams will move on from the Charlotte Bobcats to the Houston Rockets on a two-year deal, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. The contract will pay him considerably less than the two-year, $5 million deal he had with the Bobcats, however, as Stein reports it's for the veteran's minimum and the second year is a team option. The 26-year-old swingman wasn't able to get drafted out of VMI despite leading the NCAA in scoring for his junior and senior years. After spending a year playing in France, however, Williams was able to parlay some NBA Development League success into a nice little NBA career. The former third-round pick in the D-League has started 32 games of the 177 games he's played in the past four years, splitting time between the Golden State Warriors and Bobcats. Unfortunately for him, however, his scoring average has gone down all four seasons and he was on the floor for less than ten minutes per game last season for the struggling Bobcats.
