Former CPS High School & D1AA Football Player, MMA 2nd favorite sport since 2004 and know it is grossly misunderstood as a sport., Besides the Beloved Bear, Bulls & White Sox fan for life!

I Believe:

1.) Football is not a sport but a way of life
2.) NCAA players should get at least $50 a week if playing a sport that brings the school at least an additional $10 million a year
3.) Packers are the scum of the earth followed closely by the Cubs Notre Dame Football and Duke Basketball

Windy City Gridiron Anyone for "Bulger the BEAR"

So I'm watching ESPN a couple of nights ago and read the ticker that says he’s out of St. Louis and immediately said there's our QB #2.  I wake up yesterday and read the story in the Sun-Times that suggest the same thing but notes there are a few teams that may want him to start.  If that is indeed the case, I know we won't get him but I hope he finds his way here.  IMO he is the perfect fit with his connection to Martz/Martz's system and the lack of pressure he would have by being the backup and who else is around that could help Cutler pick up the system faster.

What to you the Bear fans, do you want Marc Bulger as our backup QB?

Windy City Gridiron Is it a new day in Beardom?

I know this may be premature but even if it doesn't happen, I'm proud of them for even trying for a change.

I've said for a couple of weeks I want J. Pep and Chester T.  I never thought we would try and get one of them but both!!!  1st Jay Cutler and a good try with O. Pace & now, playing ball to get J Pep & Taylor.... woooww

for the 1st time during my 20+ year run as a Bear fan, I have never felt as good about the top brass's commitment to winning now.  Is it a new day?  Its the Bears so I can't say yes but hell, I can't say no.

What do you guys think?

Windy City Gridiron How Much do You Dislike/Hate the Packers?

So after posting about Kapman, I realized just how deep my issues with the Packers & Farve run.  Am I a head case that needs help or do the childhood memories of the McMahon cheap shot, the images on old tapes of Packers pointing in the face of my Beloved Bear, and being on hand for the ruining of opening night at the New Soldier Field give me justification.  I don't know.  I can’t draft a GB player in fantasy football & can't play with them in Madden!

How about you, my fellow members of Beardom,  just how much do you dislike this team and how far do you take it?

Windy City Gridiron Why all the Hester the Wideout Hate?

So I've had enough of all the bad talk about Devin as a wideout.  I don't understand why its out there so much.  The media once agin plays a huge role in this imo.  It seems as though they keep saying its a bad move when I haven't seen anything over the past 1.5 seasons to suggest thats true.  In 2009/2010 he:

1.) ran decent routes

2.) showed he has hands by making more than couple of good grabs

3.) had a couple of back to back 100 yard games

4.) seemed to return to form as a punt returner (can't blame him for flags by teammates)

The only problem was he was our #1 wr & he is not a #1.  As a #2 with a big guy as your #1,  he is a all out weapon at wr.  Keep in mind the return game as far as kickoff is good without him(Knox & Manning).

Help me understand the haters please
