I have no links to confirm this one, but Chris Smith is going to the St. Louis Rams. Several places on Facebook and Twitter have confirmed that with all the congratulations he is getting.

Kube is still hoping to be signed somewhere in the NFL. He has been telling people on Twitter and Facebook "To all my people relax im getting picked up and new teams are coming forward hired the right person to get the job done so it will get done."

He has hinted several times that Chicago is where wants to go, we shall see.

It is great to see all these Huskies goin to the NFL.

According to Huskiewire. Kyree Jones, Lee Fisher, and Bryan Hall will all be leaving the team. Jones and Fisher are transfering while Hall is staying to finish school. I personally dont think this is bad. Jones said he could not connect with Montgomery and if that is the case it is better he is transfering than staying and becoming an issue on the team. Plus having seen him play last year he was not as impressive as he was made out to be. He seemed to be lazy and lacked effort when he was on the court last year. Fisher was a decent player, but was replaceable. Hall was injury prone.

Overall I feel good about this and it means that we will have a very young team that Montgomery can mold to be what he wants them to be. As everyone knew we needed a change on the basketball court and starting over new with Montgomery's recruits is a good idea. It may mean we have some growing pains at first because of all the youth, but it is for the best.

According to Huskiewire, DeMarcus Grady is a wide reciever. We all know he had no shot at qb with Chandler having that spot locked down. I'm just wondering what everyone thinks?

I personally think its a good decision hes athletic and can move. I wonder how good his hands are, but hit him on a screen or a quick slant and see what he can do. It also gives us a trick play option every once in a while with him out there. As far as i see its a good move, wish it was done last year.

Well the football schedule is out and that means that spring ball is getting closer. I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts about our schedule this year. I personally can not wait for the game at Toledo on a tuesday night once again. Versus Wisconsin at Soldier Field is huge, but that Toledo game very well could determine our fate to get that elusive MAC Championship victory. So what are everyone's thoughts on our NIU Huskies schedule for this upcoming season?

I was just wondering if anyone had heard any news on how football recruiting is going? ESPN has us with only three recruits. I just haven't heard much and i know its bc Doeren just took over, thought maybe some people would know something considering signing day is comin. Hopefully we will still be able to pull a couple nice players out of this years recruiting class even though we are behind. Lets go Huskies!!

This whole ordeal with Kill has left a bad taste in my mouth, but you know what its over with, he has already met with his players in Minnesota, the Kill era at NIU is over. Who we hire is going to be huge to keep the success we have at NIU rolling. I personally have heard a couple names and want to start a discussion here of who we want to be the next head coach of our Huskies or who have we heard rumored to be an option for the head coaching job.

I personally think Patton should lose his job after this pathetic basketball season and was just wondering what everyone else was thinking. I especially was wondering if any one read the article in the Northern Star today which took up the front and back pages of the paper reporting on how bad his recruiting is. The article left me just sitting there like wow this guy needs to go. Sorry i could not find a link for those who have not read the article maybe someone else could help there but any thoughts?
