Bleeding Green Nation #9, Vince Young, & Alex Henery

Sorry if this is a stupid fan post, but I'm very very curious, as a die hard young Eagles fan (I'm 21, got into football around the around the 2003 season) all I remember is McNabb as QB before that nothing So going forward, I love every move the Eagles made this offseason, and love Vick as QB. Now David Akers has been around all my football memory @ #2. I love Vince Young, and saw he grabbed #9 in honor of the late Steve McNair. Now, I also love our new kicker Alex Henery. I couldn't wait to see what number he chose. I saw he chose number 9. (before VY pickup). So who is the real number #9? On the Eagles roster I see two #9, Vince Young and Alex the future Henery. So who is it the real #9?

Bleeding Green Nation As playoff picture unfold who do we want to lose this week?

I have been trying to figure this out by looking at the standings and what not on NFL.com. I was at the Faclons@Eagles game so I saw the Eagles beat them down. We all know had Mike Vick been starting we could have won the Packers game. So do we want hypothetically the 7-3 Packers and the 8-2 Faclons, do we want as Eagles fans to secure the highest possible seed in the playoffs want the Falcons to lose? Or the Packers? I'm suggesting the Eagles win today and are 8-3, the Packers lose they'd be 7-4, Falcons loss would be a 8-3 ... so Eagles would be 8-3, Packers 8-3(win), and Falcons 8-3(loss). Or would you guys rather have it be Eagles win (duh), 8-3, Falcons win (9-2) and Packers (7-4)? There may be another team or 2 I missed that would directly effect us so correct me if I'm wrong. I say I'd rather have the Falcons lose and all of us be 8-3 and and go from there but then again the Packers hold the tie breaker, and we hold the tie breaker over the falcons. So confusing!

Don't flame me guys seriously it's just a question that I do not have the access next to calling the NFL officials and asking lol not.

pz! GO VICK, GO E-A-G-L-E-S!

Bleeding Green Nation Bring Chilly home!

How would you guys feel if the Philadelphia Eagles rehired Brad Childress now that he's currently unemployed? I believe bringing him into the organization again in the same way we brought former Bills head coach Dick Jauron. I think Childress who unlike Jauron is a offensive guy, could teach and or mentor coach etc our offense. I think it would be great asset to the organization and him and Marty would be great. How would you feel if we brought Chilly home?

Bleeding Green Nation Eagles are worst team in NFC East...

I really needed to vent this. I was driving home from work last night listening to XM Best of Sirius NFL station. There was a guy on there by the name of Rich Eisen was interviewing of corse two Cowgirls Deion Sanders and someone else.

They were saying how stupid the Eagles were for not only trading McNabb but trading him to a rival team. They said that the Eagles are the worst team in the NFC East, and that Kolb is not a elite QB and that as soon as he struggles people will be chanting "We want Vick, we want Vick." I am just absolutely appalled at this type of  sports "journalism." Your interviewing two former cowgirls, of corse there going to hate on the Eagles. Then they had the balls to say that Kolb was the WORST QB in the NFC East. I would take Kolb over Romo ANYDAY of the week. But to say Kolb is the worst is just straight up lying.

In wrapping my fanpost up, IMO the Eagles are the top offense in the NFC East and maybe the NFC, next to maybe a Vikings team with Favre at QB only. Anyway, thanks guys for hearing me out. I love NFL network but boy did they piss me off.

Bleeding Green Nation When will Jeremy Maclin start to contribute?

When we drafted DeSean Jackson in the 2nd round, he started contributing very early in the season. I will never forget the Dallas game when he celebrated to soon and it was a fumble on the  1 yard line. Jeremy Maclin however I'm starting to worry about. Not that he doesn't have the talent but he's not getting the reps. I honestly think that DeSean #1 and Jeremy as our # would be amazing. I think Curtis should be our #3 guy. Do you guys think Maclin will start making a impact soon? Nicks and Britt are both making impacts on there teams so maybe it's only a matter of time. Let me know what you guys think.

Bleeding Green Nation Vick Fan's are you buying a jersey?

This is my first fan post, so let me keep this short and to the point. As many of you are aware, when the Eagles sign a new player that we like we go out and get the jersey. I really like Mike Vick, I owned a Falcons Vick jersey as my only other non eagles jersey. As money being tight these days, I can't afford to be buying jerseys every time a new player comes along and then the following year have the Eagles not resign them. I lost my T.O. jersey, my Stallworth jersey (who would have thought AT THE TIME we wouldn't resign him) and Jeff Garcia. I lost two jerseys in one year. In a financial standpoint, is a Vick jersey worth buying? Or do you think in a year he'll be gone (to another team to start)? Please non Vick fan's this is not a ethical debate over Vick. I just need people's input because I need a new Eagles jersey, and like to keep it as long as possible. Thanks everyone!

Bleeding Green Nation Knowshon Moreno or Beanie Wells?

Almost every Mockdraft I've seen so far has the Eagles taking Knowshon Moreno with one of there first round picks, but personally I'd rather have Wells since he is the "big back" that I thought the Eagles always needed. I do think Moreno would help out tremendously don't get me wrong, but I can't stop thinking how amazing it would be having that big back. Who do you guys think would be a better fit for the Eagles, and to compliment Westbrook?
