What I like about this site is that there aren't a lot of posters getting all gooey over the mediocrity that this team has become. Plus, there is a lot of humor here and humor is a requirement for me to read a blog. I also dislike blogs which tell you that you are not a good fan if you criticize the mets. I recently retired, so that I am now able to devote even more of my time to this torment. Being a met fan is extremely demanding: of what, I don't know, but it is extremely demanding. The good part is that you usually have used up your emotional investment by the time football season rolls around. Unless, of course, there are those "meaningful games in September." Unlike the Yankees, who strive to play meaningful games in early November.
