Ok,  so the sixers are bad.  They're possibly as bad as they have been in 15/20 years, possibly worst team since the 83 championship team, but we all know that.  Now they've signed Iverson and just like Flash, he'll save every one of us.  (Fire Ajax Missiles)  

I don't know about you, but I've run out of something new to say about Iverson, or Jordan, or Stefanski or the sixers.  I mean what else can you say about this team that someone else hasn't already said.  They're terrible, record wise not the worst team in the league, but let's see how you really feel about this team and roster going forward.

So, injuries suck, Louis Williams was doing a good job as a starting pg in the NBA, he wasn't sucking, I was pleasantly surprised, but as anyone who reads this blog even a little may know, many of us were rather vocal about how the PG rotation was playing BEHIND Williams.  Specifically, there was one player being almost abused mentally by coach eddie jordan.

Last night, someone, some how, broke Lou Williams Jaw - I didn't see the game, I don't know how it happened, and it sucks for lou that it happened, but in the vein of every cloud has a silver lining - Kate Fagan sends this twitter

   Look for rookie Jrue Holiday to start tonight in place of Sweet Lou. The future is now.

So, it's the holidays, the sixers stink and it's a time of giving and the sixers lost to the wizards today, a team with a lot of bad long term deals and it got me to thinking about who might have the 'worst' long term deal in the NBA right now.  Guys like Dalemberrt, Curry, even McGrady are coming to the end of their terms atop the bad contract heap.

Now I know sixer fans first jump will be elton brand (and some may even say Iguodala) and yes willie green is a douche but he's not paid a lot of money.

My first instinct is to say that without examing contracts too deeply - Gilbert Arenas has one of the worst contracts in the NBA right now?  Other contesntats could be Ben Gordon, Charlie V, Hedo, maybe even Jamsion?

Ok, so Stephen Jackson was never coming to the sixers and I never wanted him on the team, however, the Warriors implosion and Titanic sinking MAY lead to a more attractive (to me) player being made available for trade.  So let's discuss it because there's only so much to discuss with the current roster.

Well, Speights is down for 6-8 weeks, Brand is the highest paid player on the roster and he'll be coming off the bench soon, the sixers currently will be starting 2 (maybe 3) guys who wouldn't be starters on quality NBA teams with a shot to win a title, so I thought I'd propose the following discussion and see where it goes.

All stupid idiotic suggestions that somehow bringing Iverson back to the sixers would help either at the gate (woo hoo last in home attendance) or on the court, please limit them to this location and this location only for the sake of clarity and ease of understanding.

In short, if you want Allen iverson back on the sixers, you want the sixers to lose.  You want them to be terrible and you want to set back the development of every player on the roster.
