SL Game 2 : GSW vs. DAL DOWNLOAD + The COOL KIDS Mixtape Free Download!

Here is Game 2 of The Warriors Summer League against Dallas. In this game Marco Belinelli had an awesome game scoring a game high of 25 pts. for the Warriors!

Game 1 is unfortunately very difficult for me to actually take from the NBA website so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it for a while but most definitely I will have Game 4 up as well the day of hopefully and if not that most definitely the next day.

SL Game 3 : CHA vs. GSW DOWNLOAD

Tonight the Warriors tipped off against the Charlotte Bobcats in their 3rd Summer League contest. In the last 2 previous games the Warriors have been comfortably beating out the competition. They show great confidence and much growth from their sophomore players in Brandan Wright & Marco Belinelli along with CJ Watson. The question is are these games all just for show or will this talent live throughout the season? Only time will tell but as we now stand, the Warriors continue to get great games out of Brandan Wright, Marco Belinelli & CJ Watson.

In game 3, the Warriors faced a surprisingly tough opponant in the Charlotte Bobcats. The Bobcats started Jamereo Davidson (Who we traded to them in the Jason Richardson trade), Brandon Wallace, Alexis Ajinca, DJ Augustin, & Kyle Weaver. One would think that this line up would not be able to nearly match the talent that of such players in Brandan Wright, Marco Belinelli, CJ Watson & Louis Amundson, but I guess I was wrong! The game was close throughout, there were 10 lead changes and the game was tied 6 times!

Anyways here's the download for the whole game for those who missed it or for whoever would just like to see it again! BTW it does start a little off but it catches up again towards the end... What I mean is it starts about mid 2nd QTR but from there it plays out all the way till the end and after the end it starts over again with the 1st quarter again so you will be able to see the whole thing. Oh yeah, you're welcome in advanced! It took a while to download the whole thing to my Mac! ENJOY!

GO SOPHOMORES!

Free Agents: 2009 and 2010

Free Agents: 2009 and 2010

Those who have been observing the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks, among others, maneuver to create salary-cap space already have heard about "the Summer of LeBron." That's 2010, the year that LeBron James can opt out of his contract with the Cavs.

But the offseason of 2010 is not just the Summer of LeBron: It's also the Summer of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Ray Allen, Tyson Chandler, Manu Ginobili, Richard Jefferson, Joe Johnson, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Redd, each of whom can become an unrestricted free agent in 2010.

And in 2009, the list is illustrious, too: Kobe Bryant, Carlos Boozer, Allen Iverson, Ron Artest, Richard Hamilton, Jason Kidd, Shawn Marion, Andre Miller, Lamar Odom and Rasheed Wallace can become unrestricted free agents next year.

And that's not to mention all the restricted free agents, as you can see below.

Of course, not all of these players will reach free agency. But some will, which is why we're already hearing buzz about the summers of 2009 and 2010.

Take a look and see whom your team could lose … or which players it might ink in '09 and '10.

Clippers renounce rights to Livingston, four other players

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Clippers said Wednesday that they had renounced their rights to Shaun Livingston, the recuperating guard who is an unrestricted free agent, and four other players.

Shaun Livingston

Livingston

The other players are Dan Dickau, Boniface Ndong, Smush Parker and James Singleton.

Livingston, taken by Los Angeles as the fourth overall pick in the 2004 NBA draft, hasn't played since injuring his left knee in a game on Feb. 26, 2007.

The Clippers declined to give him a $5.8 million qualifying offer this summer.

According to the NBA collective bargaining agreement, a renounced player no longer counts toward team salary, so teams use renouncement to gain additional cap room. A team can still re-sign such a player, but the team must either have enough salary cap room to fit the salary, or sign the player using the minimum salary exception.

After renouncing a player, a team also can trade him in a sign-and-trade agreement.

Golden State Warriors in NBA 2k8 Review

Hey guys I'm back to give you guys feedback on the new game, NBA 2k8! (P.S. thanks tony.psd for the game cover I definitely printed that out and put it on my case!)

"Controls & Functions"

Anyways the game play overall is very difficult at first for "first-time" NBA 2k players. There are many new functions that have been added into the game although for me, these were not hard to adapt to due to the fact that the buttons are in similar order except certain buttons have been changed.

For an example, the "B" button no longer has the function of a "lead pass." For some strange reason they have taken this function. out. Now the button has no function at all. This is probably due to the fact that most likely they have created a better, a much smarter A.I. system allowing the in-game player to realize certain situations such as fast breaks, allowing them to act accordingly.

"In-Game Gameplay"

Now to the good stuff! Of course the people who are as crazy about 2k just as much as how people are crazy about Madden, we all know that the 3-pointer (If you're actually a legit NBA 2ker) was easily perfected on the "Hall of Fame" difficulty level. In this new NBA 2k8, you may have the talent of shooting the ball perfectly, but it may not always go in.

The game although is very beautiful in as sense that the design is awesome. The crowd is very active, they seem to have much more personality. The players also now can interact with the crowd in the first row, there are much more player expressions, even ones that have them interacting with other players. You now have the referees as objects on the court meaning that they are alive, they can be in your way at times causing you to lose the ball or you can use him as a screen. Another improvement was the running along the sideline feature; when you get close to the sideline, on the verge of going out of bounds, the player will force their bodies to stay in-bounds doing everything they can to stay in-bounds. The fouls have changed as well. There are much more expression when fouling. Some players foul hard, and others, not so much. You may be grabbed mid-air going for a dunk, you may be slapped across the forearms by another player going for a steal. The blocking is also another challenge gamers must face. You may get swatter the first few times you try to go to the hole so watch out! They CPU-Players have a much higher A.I. I.Q. They react very quickly to what you are doing, they recognize plays after constantly running them; they understand when players go with their left or right hand; they create their own mismatches; they understand the game!

Another addition to the game is the "Hot Spot" feature. This allows you to see where players like to take the majority of their shots. Their sweet spot essentially. Some players love the inside while others would rather play on the perimeter.

"The 2008 Golden State Warriors"

Now for your 2008 Golden State Warriors, they have  not changed much except for roster. But let me tell you they are awesome in the game! Much of the ratings have gone up which is expected since many of the players such as Matt Barnes have proven as much more deadly weapons offensively.

There are many updates that you can download to update the game as far as rosters through Xbox Live. On the Warriors, players such as Mikael Pitrus (Obviously), Troy Hudson and Kosta Perovic have not been added to the roster, these updates should take care of them.

Good Luck to the GSW's WE BELIEVE 2.0!

Thanks Guys.

Jeppalepala's Webpin - The 1946 Philadelphia Warrior

The Philadelphia Warriors

The History

The Warriors were founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1946 as the Philadelphia Warriors, a charter member of the Basketball Association of America. They were owned by Peter Tyrrell, who also owned the Philadelphia Ramblers of the American Hockey League. Tyrell hired Eddie Gottlieb, a longtime basketball promoter in the Philadelphia area, as coach and general manager. He named the team after an early professional team in the city.

Led by early scoring sensation Joe Fulks, they won the championship in the league's inaugural 1946-47 season by defeating the Chicago Stags, four games to one. (The BAA became the National Basketball Association in 1949.) Gottlieb bought the team in 1951.

The Warriors won their only other championship as a Philadelphia team in the 1955-56 season, defeating the Fort Wayne Pistons four games to one. The stars of this era in the team's history were Paul Arizin and Neil Johnston. In 1959, the team signed draft pick Wilt Chamberlain. Known as "Wilt the Stilt," Chamberlain quickly began shattering NBA scoring records and changed the style of play forever. On March 2, 1962, in a Warrior "home" game played in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Chamberlain scored 100 points against the Knickerbockers, a single-game record.

Taken From : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_Warriors

During the birth of the franchise, I believe they wanted our mascot to represent power, something that represents purity and the struggle of our country. The Native American mascot was used, I believe to represent our fight to become stronger to become a better nation, and that even though the way we mistreat others, it does not matter since WWII was coming to an end. We looked to end the terrible genocides, and had realized our own mistakes in history, and I believe this is somewhat a patron for the Native Americans, a sort of tribute to them.

Just a filler I got really bored so I decided to go kinda deep with it. LOL!

This mascot was represented by one of the G.O.A.T!

Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain!

The masot was upgraded and given color!

I mean this mascot is even on the Mitchell & Ness Throwback Jacket which retails for $350 A-Thank You! (I own one of these!)

All I want to know is why? Why do you all want me to remove my webpin? Because it's racist? I believe that it has nothing to do with degredation of any people. This mascot represents our FIRST NBA CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE EVER!
But that doesn't matter you still want me to take it down.

Don't worry it will be gone. I agreed to comply with what has been asked of me, and I will gladly remove it since it makes so many people here in GSoM so uncomfortable.

Thanks ya'll for the input in advance.

So what's my replacement HAHAHA Someone help me fnd a webpin! anyone got any replacement webpins???

Yi & Senior China Basketball Team loses to U19 Team USA + Dallas Mavs SL Team

Yi played against the U19 basketball team a coupld days ago. He played 23 minutes scoring 8 of his 15 points from the free throw line, and 14 of his points came from the 4th quarter. As I said earlier, Yi is not playing against players who are of the caliber of those who are in our NCAA today. Yi played against players who were 19 years of age and younger, which is also his age group.

China's Yi Jianlian, who recently was the No. 6 pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, got things going in the fourth quarter to keep China in the game. With Yi scoring 14 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter, China cut the U.S. advantage to 10, 70-60, with 5:42 to play in the game, but could get no closer as Porter made his fifth 3-pointer of the game to turn away the rally and help seal the USA 91-75 victory.

China Loses to Dallas 105-100, Despite Little Help from Yi, Sun

by Arthur Volbert - Jul 3, 2007

China lost to the Dallas Mavericks Summer League team tonight in a close game in Dallas despite a disappointing performance from Yi Jianlian and little help from Sun Yue. Wang Zhizhi (214-C-79) led China with 28 points and Zhu Fangyu scored 17. Yi had 11 points on 3 of 9 shooting. "Just the second game from missing three months," Yi said, noting that he just rejoined the national team.

Information taken from : http://www.asia-basket.com/chn/chn.asp

Despite the hype that Yi has gotten from all the people not only here on this website, but also from the many various journalists who had jumped on the bandwagon of Yi coming to our Golden State franchise, it would have seemed that from his display of play against our U19 team and against the Dallas Mavericks Summer League Team, that Yi is at best an average player. I certainly believed that he was not going to be as good as everyone had though he would become, and from a post I had written before, he does not compete against the same level of of athleticism as we have here in the NCAA.

Still want Yi?

Marion to the Ws? Wat U know Bout that?

It is obvious that the Warriors have some dead weight on their hands as far as salary cap issues and the fact that some of their players on their team just aren't enough to get them over that hump in the playoffs. Many rumors have suggested that the Pheonix Suns seem to be having trouble as far as chemistry, but when asking PG, Steve Nash, he says it's all good. Despite their great game play on the court, there may be many things off the court bothering the Suns great franchise.

Poll
Would the Suns trade SF, Marion/PG, Piatowski & #46th Pick to the Warriors for C, Foyle/SF-PF, Harrington #59th Pick?
Yes, due to the fact that the Suns do need another inside presence such as Harrington & Foyle

No, because Marion is much too valuable to the Suns
