SBN ... what a mess.
BCB is increasingly hard to read and navigate thanks to all the "features" SBNation is piling on. Ads, polls, tweets, jumps, ads (again), SPONSORED LINKS, etc. etc.
The clutter is chasing me to the .xml feed, and I'm sorry, because the FanPost section doesn't come with Al's posts and those are almost always fun to check.
Whatever ... my Spring Training trip is only two weeks away. Maybe that's why I'm so damn cantankerous.
Go Cubs!
Peace out! (Use your turn signals.)

OT: DirecTV EI v. MLB.com's video
Hello Lovely Cubs fans.
I need some help: I'm a long-suffering DirecTV Extra-Innings subscriber and I've about had it for three reasons:
1. My Tivo (yes ... it's an ancient DirecTivo receiver) cannot always distinguish between two or more channels carrying the game and which one actually has a feed of the game ... IOW it often records black. Neither DIrecTV or TiVo can offer any solution.
2. I hate hate hate Fox's Saturday blockbuster. I just want to watch the Cubs on a day I usually have off and can sit there and watch them.
3. I can no longer stretch a long coaxial from the DirecTiVo to my back yard and enjoy the game on a little TV I have solely for that purpose. Cable is not long enough.
SO ... my question to the grooop:
Can a MLB.com "At Bat" or whatever subscription alleviate all these problems if I have a laptop and a kickass-fast FIOS connection (which I do)?
Specifically, are ALL Saturday day games available on MLB?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Go Cubs!

How is everyone coping with what we're seeing?
I swore that if the Cubs didn't sweep the Buc-os last weekend that I was OUT, and success in '09 or not, I'd see you in March in Mesa for the 2010 Cubs. The rainout of game three left me still in (by official rule).
Now we have last night's performance. It completely deflated me.
I'm not coping well: I'm furious, disappointed, nihilistic and downright depressed about our Cubs. I have Da Bears to look fwd to and that's it.
What are y'all doing to get thru?
Peace out.
Go Cubs. I think.

Time for superstitious nonsense yet?
I have to admit that I've turned into a rather superstitious person lately and I'm wondering if the BCB nation has started or continued ridiculous (but effective, goddang it!) superstitious behavior.
Mine: I get a new fitted Cubs cap every other year and alternate between home and away styles. As a rule, I buy the cap at either Wrigley during the season or at Hohokam during Spring Training. I'm due this year for a new road cap ... but Hohokam was out of 7 3/4" fitted road caps so I side-stepped the rules and ordered it from cubs.com.
Now ... I've only had the wool caps and the new poly-whatever hi-tech cap in size 7 3/4" is a bit big and won't shrink-to-fit like the wool. So I sent it back. And nothing bad has happened to the Cubs.
So ... I'm still wearing my grubby wool home cap and am resisting screwing things up for you, me, us AND the Cubs by ordering a 7 5/8" road fitted cap from cubs.com.
Don't thank me ... yet.
Go Cubs. I love you all.

Len and Bob's email?
On Sunday's broadcast, during the Fan Cam segment, I was stunned to hear a song from a GREAT indie band, The Magnetic Fields. The song was "Washington D.C." and it is from their triple album "69 Love Songs."
Bob said as much when he identified the song but prudishly left off the "69" from the album's name.
Can someone post their email addy so I can tell'm at least one Cubs fan noticed Bob's prissy omission?
Thanks, Peace Out! and Go Cubs!
