I don't know if everyone's seen this but with the priveledge of being a part of something special with Brian Dawkins on our team comes the need to find out where he's been and what makes him so special.

This video blew my mind. I'm a big football fan aside from being a Broncos fan but I must've been under a rock the past 14 years because I never truly comprehended the destruction this guy doles out.

Make sure you click 'HD', turn up the volume, blow up to full screen... and sit back and enjoy. I am thankful for Brian Dawkins for everything that he is... the most pure football player in the NFL in decades.

Ravens toss Broncos fans for standing

Read this headline again. This is a systematic weeding out attempt by the Baltimore Ravens staff. I will post a link to a YouTube video later.

What happened... my friends and I were standing (with our hands in our pockets) in Section 113 Row 1 (end zone behind FG posts) while the Broncos were on D and were told by the Ravens staff to sit down. Jon Cline (VP of Ravens security) told us we're "outta here" if we stand up again.

He said we could only stand up on a "majority rules" basis and said it was grey. He said we could only stand up on "things like 3rd downs or celebrating a touchdown". Well we were eventually tossed midway through the 2nd quarter for standing with our hands in our pockets (well aware we had many eyes on us and trying to be model fans AND yell for the Broncs) while the Broncos were on 3rd down.

Report from SD (going to every Broncs game 'til they lose)

Stil haven't made it back from San Diego yet but I have some things to report.

Qualcomm is 50 - 60% louder than Mile High. Sad but true. I will address my ideas to get back the old Mile High noise at the bottom.
SD fans suck! Beer spilled on us when Eddie scored his first TD. Peanuts, trash, etc. Thought I was in Oakland.
We REALLY got to Phyllis with yelling our "HUT! HUT!.... HUT!!" as loud as we could! We listened to tape of him before the game to get his tone just right. It worked. Orton was on the leg movement, Phillip on the vocal.
Thanks Champ for throwing your glove my way after the game. Chargers blood on it too... nice.
Chargers fans are incredibly loud especially in the northwest end zone but they are incredibly stupid for cheering (loudly!) when they have the ball.
Chargers fans also stand the ENTIRE GAME. Props to that.

How do we get the old mile high magical noise back? First and foremost have Pat Bowlen personally send a communication to his people stating that he will not tolerate his security people telling Broncos fans to sit down... especially on 3rd downs.

In fact, nowhere in the NFL can a fan be forced to sit when standing in front of his or her own seat. You can be respectful and still do this.

Folks we have got to STEP UP THE NOISE IN MILE HIGH!!! If anyone wants me to email an audio of how loud it was in Qualcomm let me know.

The CLUB LEVEL (my section included) has got to step it up. We comprise 12% of the seats yet the wine and cheese level is totally lackadaisical when it comes to cheering and making noise.

We can:

Pound on seat backs in front of you (for those in front of you that are standing)
Stand on all 3rd and 4th down plays (at the very least)
Refuse to accept Denver Broncos security requests to sit down. They need to be trained on what the NFL policy really is.
Time your cheers well... if your throat hurts wait until the QB goes under center
Sit on all Broncos offensive snaps and be quiet (we've got this one down pat baby)

Thoughts on the Raider game...

What if we just ditched the politically correct kiss-ass talk all week about how they're better than their record, yada-yada... and call it like it is... we should walk all over this pitiful team. That would have kept the pressure to an appropriate level.
If I saw one more deep ball down the right side from Cutler I thought I would scream. I think we were 0 fer 10 or something... like Shanahan was hoping for a different result.
I would like to see Marshall (I have stripped him of his b-marsh nickname until he plays to his level) running some slants like Greg Jennings does in GB.
Tight ends totally ineffective in this horrific game plan. Literally the worst offensive play calling I've seen in a couple years.
Hillis has some promise but I'd like to see him on screens and play action... making the most of his soft hands with some dump-offs over his shoulder.
Shanahan used him a little boringly today... like he had a new toy and needed to alternate that with his deep rights.
The Raiders backup corners are wow good.
I don't want to hear about how strong Prater's leg is. I don't care if he can kick one from 70 yards... let's get the 40 yarders down, then we'll talk. I miss Elam.
Elam is gone because of kickoff strength. Prater is getting a little shaky after a great start... one KO went to the 20. Really bad game for Prater.
I think Philip Rivers is reaping all kinds of negative karma for the trash talking he did against the Broncos in the December game last year. It's something to enjoy... but you know it won't last.
Even though we broke down on D in the 3rd I was impressed with our 1st half effort. So glad I didn't have to watch Calvin Lowry.
I'm pretty sure Champ was ready to go... just wanted to sit one more game after he really thought he could. Jets game for a return made a lot more sense... though Ashlie Lelie might not have.............................

WANTED: RB... warm bodies needed

I like what I've seen initially from Hillis and I'm not counting him out for being able to suck up the load, BUT...

Anyone have any ideas for scrounging up some RB's right now? I've heard talk about Mike Bell (loved his hang time going over the pile in goal line situations!), Tatum Bell (fumbleitis?), and others.

We need someone by Monday... who's it gonna be?

BTW - I'm ticked at Shanny for allowing S Young in the game but Selvin needs to step UP and let the coaches KNOW WHAT HIS SITUATION IS! I believe his desire not to disappoint overrode whatever common sense he had. Take Champ's lead... his groin injury wasn't that bad in the NE game but he knew not to press it or else a 4 week injury turns into a 2 month injury.

... anyone interested? He's shown some resurgence... might get a good 2 years out of him.

How does the salary cap look under this scenario? I really like the way DJ and Nate have played this year (compared to what I've seen the past 1 1/2 years). Also think we need to find a safety, but maybe that can wait until the '09 draft class?

The one thing I do know is that Calvin Lowry is not NFL caliber. Wow... watched the game tape after getting back from NE and I was dumbfounded how ineffective, out of place, and TIMID he was when plugging the run! Bounces off the upper body on tackles too.
