Does anyone know the status of Calvin Howell, Greg Timmons, and Garret Porter ? 

Gilbert, Whaley, Graham, D. Johnson,  Nkwopara (looks good--he put on some muscle and lbs), Kelley, and Mims are all shown enrolling June 1...The picture of Major looking up at Whaley with a big grin on his face is priceless.

I combined the published roster from the enrolled 2009 recruits and added the pictures from the rest of the recruits that enrolled on June 1....and I believe that we are still missing 3 recruits....all important player.....Howell, Timmons and Porter. 

I know that Howell has been trying to qualify academically, and I wondered if anyone knew if he made the grades and is eligible.

I'm not sure if Timmons had academic issues or some other reason for his delayed enrollment. He was the No. 4 WR in the country and only WR in the class....sure hope things are ok with him.  I'm pretty sure Porter was a top academic student....so I wonder why he hasn't shown up yet.

Any insight would be appreciated.  This is a great looking class and wish them the best and hope they enjoy UT.

Hook 'Em

No big surprise here, despite his criminal record. Rivals is reporting that he is now on the roster and will be wearing number 95.  What can you say about Oklahoma and Stoops that hasn't been said a million times before.

Maybe he and Jamarkus "McFiction" McFarland's mother will be roommates.  You would think that she would have a cow letting her baby boy near a thug like this.

I sincerely hope that nobody gets hurt, so we don't have to say, "told you so." But, this is a risk that I just can't see a credible insitution taking.  Congratulations to OU on laying another egg.

Josh Smith, the crazy fast return man and receiver for Colorado (not to mention probably their best player) has asked to be released. His reason--to pursue a singing career, and CU doesn't offer a music degree. Apparently he just figured this out. He wants to go to Arizona State, but classless Coach Hawkins will only release him to USC and claims that the release is restricted because USC is the only school that matches Smith's reason for requesting to be released.  WTF?

Further adding intrigue, Hawkins had announced that he will be the receivers position coach in addition to his role as head coach. I don't think any Division 1 Head Coach has also been a receivers position coach. This is weird.

Josh Smith may have the voice of a canary?  Who knows.  Obviously there is some bad, bad blood a brewing.

Some sh** has hit the fan in CU because this makes no sense at all. And D. Scott is stuck in that pitiful program.   Karma, she will get you bad.    What could have been???

First we had Blogger Thayer Evans' ridiculous piece on the recruitment of Darrell Scott. Next, we got his rivetting NYT masterpiece on the recruitment of Jamarkus "McFiction" McFarland, and the unimaginable debauchery of Texas Women Romancing Each Other. ;-) While I can't imagine how this hatchet wound can outdo himself after that nifty Christmas present he laid last year, I want to know....Who do you think he is currently after to provide recruiting 'insight'  this year???

Don't know the truth to this, but Apo was allegedly a top performer at the camps. I believe that he is also Mormon which would explain his interest in BYU.   Sure hope that if we do lose him that we do lock down Darius White!!
We are still strong at WR, but Apo was sure making me not worry about D. White looking around so much.  Not sure how the Mormon kids do with their 2 year missions and I read that Apo was going  to take a mission anyway. That has to be hard for a program and I was glad to see that UT would offer a kid and allow him to take his mission.  If anybody knows more I would love to hear how that works.
