Posting and Toasting Good News for the Knicks - Tyson Chandler DPOY!!!

According to this link I found on Rotoworld, we have Good News!! Tyson Chandler gets the well-deserved honor of DPOY for the 2011-2012 NBA Season.

I'm happy as a peach to get some good news, and for Tyson to be the receiver of said news. He was my favorite Knick all season, as I appreciate hard work, defense, rebounding, defense, intensity, leadership, defense, and his beard.

Here is the short blurb on Rotoworld, looks like the source is Mark Spears on Twitter:

Yahoo!'s Marc Spears is reporting that Tyson Chandler will be named the Defensive Player of the Year on Wednesday.

Winning this award was definitely a goal of Chandler's and with all the bad news coming out of Knick-land lately, this will be a welcomed event tomorrow. Chandler averaged 11.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.4 blocks this season while anchoring a solid Knicks' defense.

So, probably just because I play a lot of fantasy sports...but this is at least worth talking about, no? He has a long, long line of injuries, and clearly they have affected him and his stats. If he is on waivers and basically free, is anyone here at all interested in him?

Do we think he would make it to us in the waiver process?

Just a thought, I'm not advocating for or against it, just thought it was something to talk about!

There was some mild concern he might be sidelined for a little while due to a hyperextended knee, but the team downplayed it throughout the process. He's fine and it shouldn't be an issue for the start of the season. Bill Walker remains a spectator on the sideline with a groin issue.

Posting and Toasting Why LeBron isn't going to Chicago

Basically, yes, I'm posting a line of thought that Mike Greenberg read on Mike & Mike, but it makes sense, so I wanted it up here.

Basically, here is how it goes.

1) Chris Bosh wanted to play with LeBron, more than Dwyane Wade.

2) If LeBron wanted to play in Chicago, Chicago had the best pieces for a package in a S&T for Bosh.

3) So basically, since Bosh is going to Miami, with Wade, that means LeBron doesn't want to play in Chicago.  If he did, Bosh would be going with him, instead of to Miami with Wade

Also, I don't see him going to Miami now either - Bosh is completely opposed to taking less money, he's made that pretty clear, so that alone seems to eliminate that option.  Plus, LeBron would be "joining" the Great DWade in Miami, as opposed to bringing his greatness to a team that doesn't have a player of Wade's caliber.

IMO, This leaves just returning to Cleveland, or coming to New York.  Tomorrow at 9pm should be pretty fun!

Posting and Toasting Noooooo! Chris Duhon signs with another team?!?!

Somebody else actually wants him?!?!  Yes, my fellow New York Knicks fans, our future is now in doubt.  Chris Duhon has signed a 4 year deal worth $15 million with the Orlando Magic

All kidding aside, probably a very nice move for the Magic.  Many of us have said numerous times that Duhon would be an awesome backup PG, we just were sick of him as our starting PG, and rightfully so.  Good news for us was, I don't think any of us really wanted to be reminded of the Duhon-Era anyway, even as a backup PG, so have fun in Orlando Chris!

Go Knicks!
