Rock M Nation Haiti

I was over on Double T Nation looking at the TT news and noticed someone posted this over there.  I am not saying that you should give ot the organizations listed, but thought it was a nice gesture and we should all spend some time doing whatever each of us believes will help in this disaster - giving, praying, whatever.   This could be happening here.  If others have a good place to give, please post.  Sorry if you guys feel this isn't appropriate.

Rock M Nation Video/Audio Mash-up for you.

Mu Pressure from jm_norm on Vimeo.

---

Thought I would share this video I threw together over the weekend.  I haven't recorded many of the games thus far, so the highlights are from Chattanooga, Tennessee - Martin, and Illinois.   Audio clips mixed with the music are mostly from the Illinois broadcast.

I really have to say that if this team keeps improving at the current rate, this could be another great season.

Need four more words.

Rock M Nation Matt Lawrence's Stats through 5 Games in Norway

# Name Game min fgm-a 3pm-a ftm-a off def tot ast pf st bs pts

7 Lawrence, Matthew                   5           36.2 58.3% 52.6%     71.4% 1.2 3.4 4.6 2.6 1.2 1.0 0.2 27.4

I know that it is Norway and the competition isn't the greatest, but he is the second leading scorer on his team in his first five games.  Good for him.  Leading scorer on his squad is a guy named Anthony Williams from Central Florida.

The stat line is just great. I know this was in the Tiger Tracker link from yesterday, but here's hoping he stays committed.

Rock M Nation So, in watching the game again today (highlight video included)

[Ed. - Promoted to the front page from FanPosts]

As I made a highlight video, here are some thoughts on the game:

1.  We seemed to run very few blitz packages which I felt was a great change. i think that Spoon blitzed on the pass play that lead to the Cumberland fumble, but that play ended up being good for Mizzou.

2.  As the Illinois offensive line tired, our defensive ends started applying more pressure.  Hopefully this continues.  I think that the lack of pressure at the beginning of the game may have been part good line play by the Illini Offense, but part of it was our D-line trying to stay in running lanes and contain Juice.

3.  Our D-backs were in decent position most of the day.  There were a few lapses, but they were not lost completely as they were last year.

4.  Illinois played the run quite well, probably thinking that a first year starter surely couldot beat them through the air.  I don't know that other teams will be so focused on then run.

5.  Alexander (if he stays healthy) is at least in the discussion when talking about the best receivers in the Big XII.  He is a threat anywhere on the field.

6.  Gabbert was simply the most talented player on the field.

7.  I think the offensive play calling was spectacular.  I didn't think to myself, "wow, that was a dumb play"  once during the game.  DC always had me scratching my head once or twice a game.

Here's the video:

Rock M Nation Key MIZZOU players video

MIZZOU from jm_norm on Vimeo.

I was trying out some plugins for my video editing app and whipped this up this afternoon.  Not much here as I do not have any video footage of MIZZOU football on hand, so you are left with some photoshopesque (I don't use photoshop) cutouts with some effects and music thrown in.  Man, I wish I had some video.Tigers vs Fighting Illini coverage.  Oh, I need to have 75 words.  Done.

Calipari was a believer in Mizzou.  He states near the end that no one has been able to beat them that way and that they were punched in the mouth.  he was gushing over Tiller, Carroll, and Lyons.

Just navigate to the multimedia link to the video section and you get a menu.

More words, more words, more words, more words.  Alright, I'm done.

Rock M Nation Hello to everyone on RMN

I wanted to introduce myself to you all and let RMN contributors know how much I enjoy the site.  Actually, I haveb been enjoying all of SB Nation this year and RMN since last season.

Here's some of my history that taints my thought on MU sports:

I have been a Mizzou fan since 1990.  I grew up in Illinois and everyone I knew was either a Kentucky Wildcat fan or an Illini fan.  My older brother attended MU from 1989 to1993.  My Mizzou affliction began by attending my first ever college football game.  It happened to be the 1990 Game with Colorado.  If I would have known that being an MU fan would cause me to experience that same type of moment in various ways over the years (Tyus Edny anyone?), I probably would have walked away at that point.  I not walk away, however, and here I am.

I went to graduate school in Kansas and had to endure 2.5 years of Jayhawk and K-State fans.  However, I am undefeated all time against KU.  You see, my wife was engaged to a Jayhawk when we met.  the night she broke it off with him she moved in with me and we have been married now for 9 years. It doesn't get any sweeter than that for me when thinking of KU.  The only downside is that her parents are OU season ticket holders who bleed crimson.  I hate watching holiday football at the inlaws.

Again, this site has been great reading and I enjoy reading it everyday.  I have only posted a couple of times during football games, but will try to start doing it a bit more during basketball also.  This is a great time to be a Tiger fan!
