NFL Game Rewind, free for this week

1

For this week you can see all of the NFL games through the season so far free online via NFL Game Rewind. I have a subscription & have to say that it's great if you have a fast internet connection. They also have a new feature that lets you view key plays from different camera angles, which is very cool. Enjoy, it'll only work this week!

Is Tyson Jackson putting on some weight?

Maybe I'm imagining it, but he looked to me a good 15-20 lbs heavier in the game yesterday than he had last year or early in this season. Could this be part of the reason his 'demotion', or is the...

I say the Chiefs are a legitimate Super Bowl contender, who's with me?

Maybe it's the 4 o'Clock coctail talking, but I really believe that we have nearly as good a shot as anyone, and here's why. First, this team comes to play EVERY week.  The veteran influence and...

Things to love from this game

8
  1. Tamba Hali is a Liberian Warrior
  2. Brandon Albert pretty much owned Dwight Freeney, he's good
  3. Flowers and Carr may be the best CB combo in the league, and they are both 3rd year players
  4. Derrick Johnson has found himself as an elite NFL linebacker
  5. We have a team that will compete with anyone in the NFL.

Eric Berry Radio Interview

EB was on the radio down here in Atlanta on Friday. Nothing ground breaking, but he talks a little about KC fans, coach Haley & the differences in playing in the NFL. Seems like a great kid.

Mort was on the radio here in Atlanta this morning

He was talking about KC & said that when Kurt Warner visited the team during the OTAs he said "You've got Haley here who helped guid me to the Super Bowl. You've got these guys (pointing to...

ESPN Analyst appearantly still believe KC is a fluke

Still only two "experts" think KC will beat Cleveland. Even Schefter is taking the Browns.

SI AFC West preview

1

"Predicted record: 6-10. The additions of offensive coordinator Charlie Weis and defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel will accelerate a return to respectability. Weis' arrival allows Haley to focus on managing the team instead of worrying about what play to call on offense. The record might not show it, but the team is headed in the right direction in Year 2 of the Haley/Scott Piolo regime."

Where was Moeaki last night?

Did he even play in the game? I didn't hear his name called even once, though I did see him suited up on the sidelines befor the game. I hope his injury didn't put him in Haley's doghouse

Anyone here getting NFL Game Rewind?

They've finally started 2010 subscriptions for $40. Glad to see they are now including the preseason games as well...pretty invaluable for us out-of-towners who don't want to pony up the $300 for Sunday Ticket.

Just realized, season opener is two months from today, right?

WalterFootball is HARSH on the Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs Analysis: The Chiefs have no sense of direction right now. Their overpaid quarterback is terrible; the offensive line can't block; the defensive line is the league's worst; the pass rush doesn't exist; and the head coach is mind-numbingly clueless. Kansas City is easily one of the worst teams in the NFL, and because general manager Scott Pioli has dug this franchise into such a deep hole, it doesn't look like things will improve anytime soon. Projection: 3-13 (4th in AFC West)

You aren't crazy if you think the Chiefs have a legit shot at the Super Bowl, THIS year

I recently saw that KC is listed in Vegas as having 100:1 odds against winning the Superbowl.  The worst odds in the league, along with teams like St. Louis, Tampa Bay and Oakland.I really believe...

Mel Kiper, Jr. Draft Legend

4

Many coaches and administrators enjoy hearing suggestions from Kiper. One big fan was Indianapolis Colts manager Bill Tobin who praised Kiper saying, "Who in the hell is Mel Kiper, anyway? I mean, here's a guy who criticizes everybody, whoever they take. In my knowledge of him, he's never even put on a jockstrap, he's never been a player, he's never been a coach, he's never been a scout, he's never been an administrator, and all of a sudden, he's an expert. Mel Kiper has no more credentials to do what he's doing than my neighbor, and my neighbor's a postman and he doesn't even have season tickets to the NFL."

Why can't an offensive lineman be converted to be a NT? Those guys generally have the ideal size for NT, so what's the difficulty with it? Quickness & agility?

Should the D. Bowe Show go?

Like most Chiefs fans, I do like D. Bowe.  His drops and occasional lapses in concentration are frustrating, but he seems to be a good guy, usually makes the clutch catches, and he's a young player...

Suggested Reading - Patriot Reign

1

Not Pulitzer Prize material, but it's a pretty interesting inside look on how the Pats org was run by Belichick and Pioli. I came away thinking a) Belichick is indeed a very, very smart coach, and b) Pioli has a very disciplined and thorough approach to evaluating talent. We are definitely in good hands on the personnel side.

Mike Kafka - KCs QBOTF?

9

He'd be an intriguing late-round prospect. 6'3" guy with a strong arm & supposedly good decision-making skills. According to National Football Post "An intriguing senior quarterback prospect who possesses above-average arm strength and can create on the move. Is far from a finished product but has too much upside not to warrant a spot as a developmental guy on an NFL roster." Northwestern is playing right now in the Outback Bowl on ESPN.

Tyson Jackson vs Glenn Dorsey as a 3-4 DE

Just want to note that TJ has 30 tackles over his last eight games, which obviously projects to 60 over a full season.  This is after only having 5 tackles over his first seven games.  The guy is...

Are we better off losing the final two games?

Matt Cassel Contract - Still think it was a bad move by Pioli?

There's been a lot of debate here at AP regarding Matt Cassel's contract.  My understanding is that it's about $28 million guaranteed over 6 seasons, with escalators pushing it up to a possible $63...
