14 fouls in less than 5 minutes?

anyone think this Knicks team might not be so good? Also, that Oop attempt.

he's looked good so far.

His cap hold goes to the contract he signs it as soon as it is actually inked, not 72 hours later, unless the Rockets let him go. He could try to play hardball, but I'd be shocked if he actually signed another deal right on July 10th

about my thoughts. Same situation as Hawes.

I assume you meant DET instead of ORL, and why no mention of Matthews? Seems the obvious non-Batum option. Gives them some desperately needed spacing.

I'll take 36% from deep all day, particularly on a mediocre team. I like to grade shooters based on who they play with. If you're coming from the Spurs you better be crushing it, Bobcats less so.

McBob was a good shooter, I thought.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:55a - 1 reply
I think he's in "We don't have much of a shot but might as well try" territory.

I think we already knew he was going to meet with Bulls first, but hasn't

Our offense looks a lot like D'Antoni ball.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:37a
man, Phoenix might like him if they still have space.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:36a - 1 reply
really? How do you do that, just tweeting at people?
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:25a
that trade is never happening. Try trading Matthews, CJ and Wright for Monroe and then filling 2 slots with exceptions.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:25a
You know we can just sign him for the MLE, right?
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:22a - 1 reply
yeah, feel like Jack was in a bad situation in Cleveland. Overpaid regardless, but wouldn't be a terrible pickup.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:21a
good thing they held onto it, otherwise they wouldn't have got Bennett.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:18a
what's the other time?
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:15a - 1 reply
Well, if we get him for the MLE I'm going to be rather intoxicated.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:14a - 1 reply
If no one is offering over the MLE you think he stays in Cleveland?
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:12a - 1 reply
yeah, but that's why Monroe might be the #1 option, depending on how you're ordering.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:11a - 1 reply
I assume that he just hasn't updated, but the whole thing...
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:09a - 1 reply
But if Hawes has straight up offers and is clear that he doesn't want to return, why not? Also, possible 3 team sort of thing.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:08a - 1 reply
Hawes can always walk with another 7-8 mil offer if Cleveland doesn't play.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 2:07a - 1 reply
well, Monroe is better than Hawes, so that could be considered evidence.

good about this? Unless you really want Hawes on the Cavs

talk of Wes & Change for Hawes and Jack, can't remember the exact details.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:52a - 2 replies
when you play next to Drummond you kind of have to be the 4.

right, LA doesn't want to be called a center.

Monroe and LA are about the same size, right? Monroe maybe has a few more pounds, but I imagine a clear 4/5 distinction would depend on matchups.

I've heard people say Monroe is a good high-lo passer. Any truth, peoples?
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:27a - 1 reply
Giannis has a handle? I love him, but didn't think that was a strength. Although he was in the skills contest, so maybe...
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:26a - 1 reply
of course.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:25a
Love Wes, but feel we could replace 80% of what he does with the MLE. Same is not true of Monroe.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:24a
That is surprising, as you seemed unwilling to trade Wes for him. Also the biggest Wes supporter on BEdge?
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:22a - 2 replies
I mean, they were talking about trading Batum for Monroe, if "they" is the radio guys. =)
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:21a
He definitely has good chemistry with Rolo and I think the whole team seemed to like each other an unusual amount. Remember Batum stealing the mic and interviewing Dame and LA at a practice?
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:19a - 1 reply
and he got a bunch of shady fouls called on Oden.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:16a
sounds like a good fit.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:16a
But, how good can Wes and Nic's D be if we were so bad last year? I know that Dame and Mo were a big part of the issue, but it's not like they are Iggy. I love Iggy.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:16a
yeah, I think it was mainly a spacing issue.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:15a
Not Timmay, but I'd say yes. We wouldn't find a player as good as Wes, but we could find one who could do 80%, I think.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:13a
I think Monroe is worth Wes. I love Wes, but I think most of what he does is replaceable, and Monroe would give us a 3 man big rotation similar to what the Lakers had with Bynum, Gasol and Odom, although unlikely to be as good.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:13a - 2 replies
sorry about that, and I'm stalwartly in the no sarcasm font club.

Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:04a - 1 reply
I worry about injuries with the older bigs like Okafor, O'Neil and Kaman. Bradly and Shump could be nice.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 1:02a - 1 reply
Not sure we can convince Hawes to sign
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 12:53a - 1 reply
yeah, but that gives some idea of where people value him, if you care for such things.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 12:51a - 1 reply
you can do a lot with one ball. Big advantages to having every player offensively capable. Look at the Spurs. Also, I don't think there is a ton of good D guys to be had. Have anyone in mind?
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 12:50a - 1 reply
Pistons was a spacing nightmare. I think he'd improve in our offense, as long as we didn't try to have a 4 play the 3.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 12:45a
He dropped the Jazz's last 17 points against OKC to win it despite Durant scoring 48. Pretty crazy 4th quarter, if I remember.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 12:43a
yeah, that's right, just depends on the definition of "gave"
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 12:42a
can he shoot? Got to have at least 3 three point shooters on the floor. Unless Aldridge is moving out we can't start LA, Monroe and Lopez.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 12:38a - 1 reply
eerily like Smith, Monroe, Drummond.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 12:36a
I'm hoping Matthews would be sufficient, but I'm not that hopeful.
Commented on 2014 NBA Free Agency Buzz on Jul 1 2014, 12:33a
that team was so badly constructed. Jennings, Smith, Monroe and Drummond?? Yixes.
