Saw this in today's Uni Watch...glad to hear it, especially since it's the return of the red helmet!

I'm back again with more pics from the early 1970's, when I first became a Falcons fan. I found these snapshots in one of my Mom's picture albums, from a trip we took in 1971 to visit relatives who lived in Washington, Ga. Of course I started in on my Dad and Uncle to see if they could get Falcons tickets, because they were scheduled to play the St. Louis Cardinals while we were down there. My Uncle came through, and there we were.

Unfortunately, it wasn't such a good day for the Falcons- they lost 26-9 to a decent Cards team. The more things change, eh? Anyway, as you can see our seats weren't so great, so you'll just have to take my word that the likes of coach Norm Van Brocklin, Tommy Nobis and Harmon Wages are on the field or sidelines. Also, I think that's a nice shot of the now-demolished Fulton County Stadium.

While reading Paul Lukas' latest Uni Watch column, in which he writes about acquiring a really cool-looking old NFL book, I came across this great picture of Bob Berry in the huddle with his Falcon teammates, and wanted to pass it on. Pretty cool, huh!

I see where the site is telling me that this has to be at least 75 words long, so here's a sentence to pad out the length. This is from when I became a fan of the team, when I was about 10 years old. I hope this fulfills the word requirement. Go Falcons!
