Howard Lincoln's Letter to Mariner Employees
Geoff Baker gets his hand on a letter sent by Howard Lincoln to Mariner employees, where he talks about the media reaction to the Mariners.
Favorite part is where he quotes Mark Cuban's "What I have learned in 11 years in the sports business is that the dumbest guys in the room are always the media guys. Some do a decent job of reporting, most just spew opinions. And those opinions change more often than they brush their teeth. So what the media was saying (about his effort to acquire the Rangers) was of zero impact or influence on what I was doing. Listening to the media only increases your odds of failing at whatever you are doing. So I ignore them."

OTFPOTD ZOMG NO POLITICS edition 11/4
It's election day, which means fun times debating and having election parties . Except here, where you'll get sent straight to the Box! So go elsewhere for your election fun and keep your fantastic contraption designs and music talk here!
So, remember to vote, or P Diddy will come to your house and kill you.
EA on what to do if your Red Alert 3 code doesn't work? Guess at it.
Some coolish words. I knew what 6 were.
Turns out girls DO have cooties, at least more then guys do on their hands.
This may be a daead meme, but whateva, I'll do whatever in the 8th!!!!!!!!!!!
So, let me introduce myself for thouse who don't know who I am. My name is Joof, also know as Jeff in the real world. Your may remember me from such posts as, "I hate Dustin(The Douchiest man alive) Pedroia" or "Jose Lopez is awesome, and hets a bad rap" or " Fucking A my bike was stolen!" I have over 1300 posts on this site, and have read almmost everu thread here for almost a year! Whoo!
Anyways, lets do this! First off, Jose Lopez is awesome. Stop being all angry at him for being lazy. BJ Upton was considered lazy and he's hit 7/9 of the homeruns he's tit in the regular season in the post season. Also, fuck BJ Uptons, because he made jaime get a no decision. Also, The win rule is fucking retarded. Aslo, if Jaime pitches tils he's 50, will he get to 300 and make the hall of fame? Also is this the most uses of also in a paragraph ever? Also, why are speling errors less then I care about when I'm druk? Also, Don't stop believing is the best karoekke song ever. Also, Kareoke is Japanese for Empty Orchastra. Isn't that hauntingly beautiful?
Also, if someone was asking for more of some of the steak you made, would they ask, 'Can I have Moyer steak?" Also, Puns are awesome, and thats why Fogel's aweomse. Keep punning.
I'm sorry everyone. Feel free to deleter this or use this to publically mock me if ypou wish.

Ichinooooooooo!
From Bakers Blog:
Yes, Ichiro was indeed offered a chance to participate in next week's Home Run Derby at the All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium. He was approached earlier this week by MLB officials and said he'd get back to them on it. An MLB source revealed this, so I asked Ichiro -- through his interpreter, Ken Barron -- what was up.
"Yes, I was asked,'' he confirmed to me earlier today. "But because of my hamstring, I decided not to participate.''
That would be the hamstring he felt tightness in this week. Which caused him not to start that series finale in Oakland, though he entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Kenji Johjima in the eighth.
Man, it would have been awesome to see Ichiro in the Homerun Derby. Stupid hamstring ruining all the cool times.
Also, the comments are appropriately stupid for the blog, so I suggest not reading them.
NBA.com thinks that Travis Outlaw is Brandon Roy
If you venture over to NBA.com, you'll notice the Haier play of the day is listed as Brandon Roy making a block to stop the Nuggets, listed as follows.
"Feast your eyes on Brandon Roy rejecting the Nuggets' bid to end the Blazers' winning streak."
Naturally, you would think, "Ohh, its going to be the Carmelo Anthony block." However, its acctually Travis Outlaw making the block as time runs out. I'm beginning to think people don't acctually know who Travis Outlaw is.
[editor's note, by joof] Edit: This has since been fixed, but the point still remains that people have no idea who Travis Outlaw is.
