The BEST part of this video is at 1:45, when Tom Coughlin is looking to give JPP a handshake and a hug, saying "JPP, what a guy, what a guy!" I think it's from right after the first Cowboy game, and the blocked field goal. It's great.

Blogging The Boys How can you stand Jerry Jones as GM?

Hey guys, not here to troll or cause problems or whatever, I just have an honest question: how is Jerry Jones still making football personnel decisions? He's an old, rich man who has failed in each of the past 15 years, if the goal is to win a SB. It's hard to feel sorry for Cowboy fans sometimes, honestly, but you do have my sympathy in this regard.

Big Blue View The Cowboys game has already been won...

That's right, Sunday night's battle already has one clear winner: Giant fans, especially those watching at home. The decision to flex the game to 8:20 on NBC means that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman won't be calling the game.

Big Blue View The problem isn't Fewell, it's the safeties.

I don't post often, but when I do, I prefer to bitch about the Giant defense. As we debate whether our lackluster defense is a result of Perry Fewell's soft zone coverages and three-man rush, or due to a rash of injuries to key defensive players, I can't help but wonder if our poor defensive showings have been largely caused by poor play from our last line of defense; two players who should be game-changing talents. I will leave Deon Grant and TMFS out of this post due to Grant's age and status on the depth chart, and Sash being a rookie 6th round pick.

Big Blue View Ryan Harris, anyone?

ProFootballTalk reports that Ryan Harris, the former phenom RT for the Denver Broncos out of Notre Dame, will likely become an unrestricted free agent:

I think Shawn Andrews, and his 3.5M$ bonus, should be cut, and that money should be put towards a Ryan Harris signing. Harris is younger, and does not possess Andrews' chronic back injuries. He displayed great talent and potential the first few years of his career, and would be a low-risk, high reward pickup for our creaky offensive line, similar to Andrews last year.

Your thoughts?

Big Blue View Jared Gaither in FA, anyone?

[Note by Ed Valentine: I was considering a post on Gaither myself, but since one of our fine community members has already broached the subject I figured I would just push this to the front page. We can talk more about this as the offseason progresses, but it might be worth kicking the tires on Gaither. ]

According to this post at PFT:

 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/02/01/slim-chance-jared-gaither-re-signs-with-ravens/

There is a "slim" chance that left tackle Gaither re-signs with the Ravens, presumably meaning he would land on the Free Agent market.
