I like the Calgary Flames, even though I'm from near Philadelphia and should be a Flyers fan. The reason I'm not a Flyers fan is because Flyers fans are among the most irritating people in the universe.

I became a Flames fan after visiting Calgary as a 10-year-old in 1988. I liked it, I liked the team and I just knew that I hated the Flyers.

I've stuck with the Flames through the good (1989 and 2004), the bad (Ray Whitney's Game 7 OT goal) and the ugly (complete lack of offensive output this year). And I've still got my Theo Fleury jersey.
