I'm in a 6 player keeper league (currently in 1st but extra pitching will help during the home stretch. I recieved a trade proposal that baffels me. I recieve: Aubrey Huff Sean Marshall Roy Oswalt Kenley Jansen I give up: Mark Teixeira My first reaction is to reject this trade immediately because I don't get a keeper or top prospect to replace Tex. Huff is having a great year but Tex is younger and has better career numbers. However, I know the guy pretty well and I don't think he would "intentionally" send a unfair trade so thats why I'm scratching my head on this one. What am I missing? Thoughts?

This morning I heard (MLB Homeplate on XM) that Griffey has narrowed his choices down to four teams...one of them being our beloved Braves.  The announcers were quick to note that they don't know the details or even if Atlanta has offered a contract.  However it well known that Griffey has been interested in playing for the Braves in the past so this might not be as farfetched.

My first thought was that this would be a step down in the OF.  While I love Jr, he has declined a lot and we need to get more power.  But then I started thinking about it a bit more. 

Would Jr be a good pick up (at a discount) just for his leadership and experience alone?  His 15-20 HRs and added threat in the lineup is extra   I don't think he is a everyday player in the NL anymore so our main focus in getting him would be to mentor Francoeur, Diaz, Blanco, Anderson etc.

What are your thoughts?

Since I'm the sole fan of the Braves here in Ohio, I don't get very much news about them.  Most of my news comes from ESPN, MLB and Talking Chop.  (I really wish we still had the contract with TBS).  So does anybody know of a Braves Podcast that is worth listening to?  I found some but the the audio quality was pretty bad and the content was less than ideal.

Does anybody know about an online baseball simulation game?  I currently play a football one (goal line blitz) but baseball if my true love.  I'm sick of being the only person who talks baseball.

Go Braves and if we aren't going to make a push for the playoffs this year then trade TEX, hate to see him go but we won't meet Boras's demands!  Wouldn't be opposed to trading Ohman either but it would depend who we get in return.  Finally release Mike Hampton!
