Pinstripe Alley Should we....

I want to see what everybody thinks about making a play for Jermaine Dye. He wants somewhere around 2-3 Million a year which at this point he is clearly not worth. But...with the injury to Granderson, and now Nick Johnson whose wrist is a major concern, do you think we should try to go get him. He can platoon at LF-RF and DH for us, and still has some pop. I think it may be wise. I also read that Jose Guillen is on the trading block, they could probably get him for pretty cheap. What does everyone think?

Pinstripe Alley Jermaine Dye for LF?

Yanks Looking at Dye

Is he the Left Fielder we want. I had said if we can't get Bay or Holliday that the next best fit would be Jermaine Dye. This of course is before we traded for Granderson which made me not want Dye anymore, and then they decided to trade Melky which puts us back in the hunt for a LF/RF. I have no issues with JD- The guy is a .275 hitter, whose good for around 25-30 HRs and probably 80-95 RBI. I will take him, throw him in the 6 or 7 hole in our lineup, stick him in RF and put Swish in Left and call it an off season. What do you guys think?

Pinstripe Alley Yankees may trade for Granderson

NY POST- Granderson trade

This could be a good fit. Lefty with power, 30 Home Runs in the not so HR Friendly park in Comerica. The kid is fast, steals alot of bases and is a way better fielder then Damon. You could move Jeter back to the number 2 spot, throw Curtis at the number 1 and you have a pretty damn good leadoff hitter who will probably hit over 30 Home Runs at Yankee Stadium as well as well over 30 SB's in all likelyhood. Is he worth giving up A-Jax for? Let the debate begin, I say he may be. He is proven already, and kills the Yankees whenever we play. He is atrocious vs. Lefties though, hitting around .180. Nice ploy regardless for Boras to let him know we have better options available at the right price. Plus Granderson would be cheaper than Damon.......comments??

Big Blue View Should we make a play for Marv Harrison?

This article brings back worries of our WR core: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9787230/Positional-Power-Rankings:-WR/TE-packages

I think that we might need to go sign Marv Harrison. I understand hes way past his prime, but I think he could take pressure off of Hixon, Smith and Manningham, and for sure can help a young Nicks and Ramses as well to become complete WR's. I know that we are set in our ways and we want to get younger and faster, but maybe signing Harrison for a year or 2 wouldn't be such a bad thing. His stock has clearly dropped and I am sure by now he is looking to goto any contending team who will take him for pretty cheap. Any thoughts?
