This article (linked below) is exactly why I can't stand to read the crap spewn out by national writers (the same illuminati who vote for the Heisman trophy and the AP poll, mind you). In his rundown of competition for the BigXII title, Schlabach utterly ignores Texas, giving the title to Oklahoma because they have a better defense than Mizzou and Tech.

As many people have noted already this year, it's great to be flying under the radar for once, but come on Schlabach. Texas is a legitimate Top 10 team who has manhandled 3 early opponents and has a dominant quarterback who is probably playing the best football in the country alongside Chase Daniel.

Follow this simple list of rules and make Saturday October 6 all that much less painful

The rules:
Take a drink every time:

on offense:
-we throw a pass 5 yds or less
-colt gets straight up jacked and lands on his right shoulder
-we run a 'zone no read' slow developing hand off to jamal charles
-colt's pass is tipped at the line
-we have a 1st and goal inside the 3 yard line and get stuffed on 3 consecutive runs up the middle and are forced to make a decision on 4th and goal
-mack brown mentions the wind during a half time or postgame interview
-we bring chiles in, put him at WR, attempt to use him to throw a WR pass and it gets stuffed because it's so fucking obvious
-we pass short on 1st and 10, run jamal charles out of the shotgun on 2nd and long, throw a pass short of the 1st down marker on 3rd down, punt on 4th down
-limas sweed drops a pass
-colt audibles at the line and the resulting pass is jumped by a defender who either intercepts the ball or has it hit him right in the chest
-the announcers mention that texas may want to start throwing downfield
-jermichael finley is not utilized for 12 or more consecutive plays
-we do not run a play action pass for 12 or more consecutive plays
-chiles runs for a first down, is removed from the game and not seen for 3 more drives
-colt underthrows a deep ball
-colt throws a wobbly spiral
-jamal charles fumbles

on defense:
-a starting linebacker (killebrew, bobino, derry) is completely and utterly stuffed on an attempted blitz
-a starting linebacker misses a tackle
-a starting linebacker gets to sam bradford a step late
-a starting linebacker cannot shed a block and gets completely absorbed and neutralized on a play
-a great play is made by one of our backup linebackers (norton, muckelroy, kindle)
-an OU receiver catches a ball without a texas DB in the field of view
-an OU running play works well and bob stoops continues to run it successfully all game with no adjustment by our defensive coaches
