Best Choice Parking Shut Down by City of Anaheim
If you happen to be pulling up to our favorite tailgating lot off Orangewood this Thursday, prepare to be turned away. Where can we tailgate? Do I have to go to Throwbacks and hope to knock back some beer with Hud?
From the Article: "But he typically raises his rates during the playoffs to $15 to $18 – the stadium is expected to raise its rates, too. So in one game, he could bring in more than $6,000 in gross revenue."
How high does the stadium make prices now?

Bartolo Colon Is Missing *Update*
Ozzie Guillen's theory is that Colon is mourning Michael Jackson's death.
Guillen's Quote from the Article:
"I worry about Colon because Colon was a big-time Michael Jackson fan," Guillen said. "He might [watch] the TV and cry all day long. Maybe he is in L.A. at his funeral, because I can't find him. When he gets to Charlotte, Oney (Guillen's son) will call me to say he's there."
Go on to watch the video to find out about how difficult Bartolo is to get ahold of.
I find it sad that the only thing that can cheer me up when the Angels are in such a hard place is Bartolo Colon news.
Apparently, Bartolo Colon is supposed to start for AAA Charlotte in rehab and he has gone AWOL.
The only contact the whitesox have had has been with his agent.
I just hope he is alive (given the celebrity/athlete deaths of late) and some humor comes from this.
Any guesses for where he is? Is he pulling a Raul Mondesi and skipping town on his team?

Gallo's plea, "Not Guilty"
OC register link
Apparently Andrew Thomas Gallo, who killed Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson has pleaded, "Not Guilty". His attorney has asserted that he wanted the venue changed out of Orange County and Fullerton because he will not receive a fair trial at those venues.
I don't understand how his attorney, Randall T. Longwith, could even think of going with a "not guilty" plea for this case. The facts clearly indicate that Gallo A. Was driving with a suspended license. B. Was driving 3 times over the legal limit, C. Ran a red light and crashed into a car, killing three individuals and causing internal decapitation to the fourth.
Gallo is already going to spend the rest of his functional life, about 55 years, in prison if convicted. The facts clearly indicate that he was at fault, I don't understand why this lawyer is creating this publicity stunt to try to gain sympathy for his client that clearly didn't have the self-control to learn from his past mistakes.
No matter where this man is tried, he will go to prison for life, so please Mr. Longwith, save our taxpayer's dollars and let Mr. Gallo accept the consequences of his actions, plead guilty, spend the rest of his life in prison, and put some sort of closure to this sad incident.

sd angels of oc?
I'm living in san diego right now, and i thought I had my old school Am radio tuned to AM710, but it turns out it was on AM800 and i'm hearing espn radio 800 commercials and such, what is the deal with broadcasting rights and radio stations? I know the rules are really strict for TV broadcasts, i would love it if i could get the angel games on tv down here since the pads have their own channel and the angels are the best.

comebacks and walk-offs
Hey guys, in lieu of yesterday's walk-off, I was wondering, does anyone know how many walk off wins the angels have at home this season? What about come from behind wins also? Is there any baseball site i can look this up or like a stat abbreviation used for this? It just seems that our angels have handled adversity pretty well this year but i wanna see if it's for sure.

Major League Baseball 2k7 Is Out
I know everyone still enjoys MVP 05 as much as I do, but MLB2k7 is out for the 360 and I was just wondering if any other HH members have xbox live and wanna give it a go online. I bought the game today and it's much better than last year's atrocious game, and it's funny because the default lineups have GMJ batting 5th and all sorts of other silly things like Nap batting 9th. So far, I'd recommend picking the game up, is anyone else picking it up?

why oakland fans are special
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlTvSUCCqPo
after watching this, i'm speechless. As a current college student at UCSD that is saddened by the vast amount of A's hats on campus compared to my beloved angels, I can only be happy that I am not a turd burglar like these kids.
I really hope that they move to freemont so these kids feel like idiots for making this..

my insane dream free agent signings
This is my dream, i know we only have about 30 million to spend, so i am definitely dreaming, but this is my fantasy angel offseason.
1. Sign Jason Schmidt -
This guy is going to be 33 on opening day, he had a decent year last year, posting 11-9 record, 3.59 ERA, and 180 K's in 213 innings, while issuing 80 walks. Having a Lackey-Schmidt-Santana-Escobar-Colon rotation would be a great thing. (Saunders should be dealt)
2. Barry Bonds -
The guy will hit. And with him protecting Vlad, vlad's batting average will destroy. I'm sick of people thinking Vlad needs to be full time DH already, he played 156 games last year and hit .329 so stop being so scared. It's not like he's made of glass...
3. Package Rivera and Saunders for Carl Crawford, stick him in CF.
If we made these acqusitions, we'd still be left with a hole at third, but i don't want to see McPherson leave and hit another walk off home run against Kansas City, if he's traded it'll probably be in the LCS...
1b and 3b are still left empty in my opinon, i am dumbstruck.
