Cubs maybe interested in Jermaine Dye..
Along with an article regarding the Cubs new hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo the article also points to a "Source" that the Cubs are looking at the former White Sox Outfielder. Thoughts?
Nice winter dream: Manny Ramirez as a Cub
Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune wrote today about the "Dream" of the Rickets family putting up the $25 million to get Manny Ramirez in a Cub uniform.
The best part of the story is when Ryan Dempster said. "Well trade for Grady Sizemore, and then get Albert Pujols and put him as back up catcher. Then we'll have an unbelievable lineup one through nine"
Now that the Brian Roberts dream is over lets null this one over. Discuss..

Games between innings
Back when the Cubs had so-so years I remember playing a drinking game with my friends called "ball on mound". The best as I remember is that after the inning was over who ever was the last to touch it will throw the ball back to the mound. Some time’s it would stay on, some times it would roll off, and that’s when you were to drink. Are me and my friends the only fools who did this? And if this was a drinking game what are the rules or any other games people do to pass the time between innings? Dont ask me why I have to know this I was talking to someone about this and they looked at me as if I was on glue.
What is your favorite Wrigley Field Moment?
OK . New players, New Season ! With 87 days until opening day. What is your favorite Wrigley Field moment? Lets limit it to games you attended. I would have to say my best moment was in 1977 when I got a chance to hang out with Ernie Banks for Opening Day. It was the year he went into the hall and my friends aunt was his publicist at the time. We went into the dugout before the game and even went and got to meet Jack Brickhouse up in the press box. It was a game I will never forget. OK your turn..

The real Yankee numbers broken down
In 2009 Alex Rodriguez is set to make $42,000 per plate appearence ($27.5 million in salary divided by 162 games per year divided by four at bates per game). Derek Jeter is set to make $29,000 and Mark Teixeira $35,000 each time they step into the batters box.
And every fifth day, the Yankees will shell out $34,000 for each out recorded by CC Sabathia (23 million in yearly salary divided by 32 starts per year divided by seven innings per start divided by three outs per inning).
How does salary match up to this?
