Apparently he wants to know who he is going to be spending alot of time with; so do we. Can't blame the guy for looking, I would want someone with a good track record to coach me.

Burnt Orange Nation Titans

My goodness, Vince does it again.  I cannot believe how he does it.  One minute it looks bleak for the Ttitans and the next VY comes along and drives his team down the field once more; sound familiar.  I must admit that I did not watch the entire game and cannot comment on its entirety, but the last drive of that game was simply awesome.  Three fourth down plays on that drive, which were converted and the final play; a fourth down with five seconds to go near the ten yard line.  I was thinking he was going to take off running and make a play with his feet, like in the Rose Bowl.  However, he stayed in the pocket and threw a pass that only his receiver could make.  I honestly felt like I was reliving that long January night in '06.  As an unabashed homer for the Horns, I have always been proud of VY, even during his tough times last year; but to see him mature and continue to improve the way he has goes beyond my own expectations.  Way to go VInce and keep it going.

P.S.   Anyone think they can go undefeated the rest of the way?

Weirder stuff has happened.

Go Horns!!

Burnt Orange Nation Bradford gone...

Just viewed this on espn, Bradford opting for surgery and leaving school early for the league.  My question to everyone is how will blow u deal with this?  What I mean is does this change anything with Stoops and how he handles the injuries of his star players?  We all know that there are instances when he has pushed some of his players to come back too soon after an injury.  Also, is Jones the second coming of a good quarterback or is he merely a medium for their incoming and highly touted freshman out of Kansas?  Can't remember his name; does this change things for the rest of the guys that may have not bolted early if Bradford was coming back?

Burnt Orange Nation SI's Stewart Mandel...

according to Stewart Mandel of SI, the Horns are going to be the first team to lose a game to make way for a one loss USC or undefeated Boise State/Cincinnati team to sneak into the title game.  His logic is that Colt is not the same QB as last year because of the departure of Quan.  He further states that as teams figure out that double teaming Shipley will create less familiarity with the rest of the receiving corp.  Also, the apparent "crumbling to pieces Big 12" will do nothing to quench the thirst of the naysayers, because the team won't face a "real" tough opponent for the rest of the year, excluding the trap game at OK state.  What I think Mandel fails to incorporate in his piece is that Oklahoma has the personnel to do the things that were creating confusion for Colt and the offense.  I honestly do not foresee another team capable of putting that much pressure on him without giving up big plays down field.  I live and die with My horns and just wanted to provide the info. and rant about the team.  Maybe I have too much time on my hands.

Hook 'em

Burnt Orange Nation It's Official, Colt staying for Senior year...

I am glad to read that Colt has stated he will come back for his senior year.  Maybe this is old news to most but I for one am glad to hear this publicly.  Can you imagine Gilbert getting tutored by Colt to take over after he is done?  I am really excited about this and hope he sticks to his word.  As much as I loved Vince, he also said the same thing and bolted after a great year; I don't blame him but just wish he would have stayed.  Hook 'em!

Burnt Orange Nation Idiotic Article by Mark Schlabach

"Texas is not good enough to be considered the best team in the country..."  Once again the pundits are not willing to give credit when it is due; according to Schlabach the defenses in the Big 12 are not in the league of the SEC.  As always our team is never given the respect it deserves...    To all the pundits out there watch the game and not just the box score, Hook 'Em!!!   http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=schlabach_mark&id=3651458
