Moved to Oakland in '73. I Loved everything about the A's right from the start. Crazy uni's, crazy owner, mustaches and long hair (not allowed by most teams), and winners on the field. I endured the late 70's, I was there for BillyBall, the Bash Bros, and then... Moved out of the Bay Area in '91, but I've never wavered, I'm an A's fan for life- (probably NRAF unless I win the lottery) unless some owner pulls an Irsay or an Al Davis. That might tear it... Now, finally, after almost 20 years of only getting to see maybe 3-10 games per year, either when they made the playoffs or were playing the Red Sox, I can finally watch nearly every game, thanks to CSN!

A Fan Of...

  • NFL San Francisco 49ers
  • NCAAF California Golden Bears

Wasn't there someone who was on the club for the merest of moments and never got an AB or a chance to pitch?

Well, the article that made me think that is actually written with less innuendo that it reflected the A's actual targets than I remembered...

Cahill has been in the majors for 5 years, so I fail to see how he could have 'lost his contract', according to what Lafountain wrote?

Norris/Jaso/Vogt def trumps Terry, and I loved Terry. Doolittle hasn't had as much time as Eck, but he's been performing better than Eck, and it's not controversial to say so.
