Not again. What's going on?
RCT's breakdown of our bad defense
Rock Chalk Talk article about our terrible defense. It's all true. It kinda sucks to be the laughing stock of the Big 12 in basketball. I think PK has had his chance and failed.
Castleman didn't want to switch positions.
"I went to Tech almost every home game and kept having that weird feeling, wondering if I should be there," Castleman said.
Rich Rod out.
Writing was on the wall here.
Tech's first TD vs. NU.
Why we hate Yankee fans
Just thought some of you might think this is funny. I'm sure there are some Rangers fans here, still flying high after last night. Besides the obvious idiot, I wonder how many times the fat guy in the second row yelled F-U?? Go Rangers!!
Texas Tech Beats Bama for recruit
Don't know if this is old news. Sorry if so.
I was watching tv here in Austin. Public access is weird here....
This dude went on like this for 20 min. I'm not exaggerating.
Aggie pre-game before 65-14 loss to K-State.
This is a soap opera now. It's kinda stupid.... I'm just sayin'..
It sucks, but that's what it is. We are going on and on about, Hance said this, and Myers was a puppet, and the BOR was involved in a conspiracy. I'll admit, I was guilty too. I'm to the point now where I say, who gives a shit? Nothing any of us say or do is going to change anything, and that is what it is. Who's excited about getting Willis? I know I am. Who thinks that with our current players on offense, that we'll suck at offense next year? I guess I just think that, when Leach's lawsuit is finished, let's say he wins.... as a graduate of Texas Tech University, I don't think I like the sound or idea of that. I'm not against Leach being compensated, I just don't think he deserves the house. I predict a settlement, I guess. I just hope that we can settle this, and concentrate on maintaining our academic integrity with regards to the team, and have continued success. Mike Leach is gone forever. That is that. I'm so anxious and excited to see our new look. Especially where defense is concerned. Who's with me?!
Conduct on DTN
I know that I'm not one of the site editors, or contributing authors, but I wanted to put in my two cents. For all you new guys, please don't drop f-bombs and curse excessively at someone when someone offers their opinion, it's just that, an opinion. This site has always been great for intelligent discussion. Let's try to keep it that way and help Seth C. who runs a great site. I just don't want to post a comment, and then have someone else comment on it seeming as if they want to fight. It's just childish. Seth, sorry if I'm overstepping here, I just felt like perhaps it needed to be said.

Tech92 is right.
We all need to move on. Really? How long are we all going to be angry. I got my degree from Texas Tech University, not Mike Leach. Sure, I was as angry as anyone after the firing. It's over now, and as Baron Batch so eloquently put it, Coach Leach ain't coming back. We need to start accepting that we are going to have a new coach and support that person, whether it be Ruff, Tubby, or whoever. My loyalties to Tech will always run deeper than to any coach. All Coach Leach had to do was NOT be insubordinate. That's all they wanted from him. Don't shop yourself around.... show some loyalty..... just apologize already.... for the good of the school!! But no. Leach thought he was bigger than the Double-T. No one man is. One can't get in a pissing contest with his boss and expect to win. That's just stupid.
I played the game... did you?
Football is a rough sport. If you played it, you know. Coaches can be mean, unforgiving, uncaring, and rude. My coaches made me do bear crawls. Our coaches would make guys that they thought were faking injuries sit in the shade near the field and watch everyone else practice. The bottom line is, football is voluntary. You don't like it? Quit. Adam James is nothing but a privileged pussy with a famous dad. If he and his self-important daddy wanna cry together, get em' counseling! Wreck em! Go Captain.
Michigan St. suspensions, and the Alamo Bowl
So, most analysts are predicting that we will play MSU in the Alamo Bowl. Fine. But I thought this story about some brawl involving 8 to 15 MSU football players was pretty interesting. If this is true, and they are all found culpable, then they are in big trouble for our predicted bowl game. Just thought it was interesting. Thoughts? We may have a cake walk in the bowl game if they can't field a team. Link on ESPN.
I'm excited about Doege getting to start!
You know it's amazing, I was listening to the game on aggie radio, and even they could see that our offense literally, and immediately changed for the better once Potts was replaced. That sucks, but it's true.... c'est la vie. Now that we won't be seeing Potts anymore, I'm excited to see Doege lead this team. I think he'll do just fine, and easily better than Potts. Is anyone else pumped up about this? Or is everyone worried. I think we have a lot to be excited about.

Crabtree likely to start for Niners this week
Looks like our old buddy moved up the depth chart with lightning speed.
Sticks should start.
1. Efficiency. Look at the stats.
2. Footwork. Look at your TV screen.
3. Leadership. The team seems to prefer him.
4. Production. 7 TD's. 1 pick. 490 yards.
5. Appearances. We simply look so much better with Gloves in charge.
Look, Potts is good and all.. but he's got another year to improve. Sticks is ready for the reins. He has outperformed Potts in one crucial area.... game production. The only logical choice is to go with proven game production. Gloves has shown that he is the man. Pure and simple. Potts is good, but he falls short of SS in one crucial statistic, real-time, game production.
Rivals' 2009 All-Undrafted Team
Top of the list.
Brandon Williams drafted to Cowboys!
The Dallas Cowboys have traded up for extra fourth round picks and one of their selections was Brandon Williams. Incidentally, another of their selections was TAMU QB Stephen McGee. Good news for both players. Kind of where I expected Williams to go. Congrats to both. I hope Bwill makes the team. Also, it's nice to finally see more Red Raiders in the draft. A trend I'm sure we'd all like to see continue.
Is this our best FB recruiting class ever?
Assuming all sign, which seems like it may be a possibility considering signing day is only 1.5 weeks away....By my last count there are arguably (by that I mean, depends on what site or source one references) 6 four star athletes. That's more than I can ever remember Tech having in one year. Even if it's only 5, or even 4, (Wade and Ward are rock solid going to TTU) wouldn't that still be enough for this to be theoretically, the best class ever. I understand much hinges on later production but, just by HS ranking? Am I wrong to be very excited about these young fellas? I know that our classes are still a far cry from Texas' list, but whatever. That depends a lot on future development, which I believe Benny Wylie is a master at. Thoughts?
Little nebulous. I think anyway.
Only because they won their NC in '39. I know it means they aren't sure when he formally took over, however, is not this the kind of thing simple, exhaustive, research can uncover? Do they care when ol' boy started? Or if he was even really the AD at the time of the championship? No big deal, just weird. Is Tech's history as unknown? Texas? UH? Rice? etc? Am I just off way base?
Really?! Wow.
I can't tell his intent for sure either, but if it's true... that's despicable.
Great Tech read.
I know it's old, but I just got it via email from a friend. It's a nice piece.
Our basketball team is awful.
I just watched the Mizzou game, and seriously?! 30 turnovers or whatever?! That comes down to discipline and coaching. I don't wanna be a negative nellie, but..... I can't help it! We stunk up their arena. The kids play hard, but 30 turnovers?! 30?! I can't take away anything positive from that game I'm afraid. I can't believe the amount of turnovers. That has to be a record or something. 30?!
Emory Blake tidbit.
I just thought this was funny. I work at a restaurant in Austin. I was speaking to a regular customer that used to play pro ball, and follows all football pretty closely, (we talk shop a lot). This person knows Blake, I learned through the course of this particular recruiting conversation. He said Emory is a very good kid, and that he hopes he attends Tech as he thinks that Blake would be a better fit at Tech. He says it's probably true about him being 50/50, and also said that he thinks personally that Blake will remain close to family. But then of corse, who really knows. I then asked him if Blake was a good student. His face said no, or mediocre. But he said, "yeah, he can add....7+7+7+7....."
Gene Chizik to Auburn
Interesting. Thoughts?
