Athletics Nation new fantasy league based in the East Bay

Hi all,
I'm a recent transplant to the East Bay from Seattle, and I've been a huge baseball fan since I was six years old and the Mets beat the Red Sox in the '86 World Series. I've been playing fantasy for the past five years, and for the last three years either my boyfriend or I has won the league we've been playing in so we decided to branch out to look for some better competition. So I was wondering if any of you would be interested in joining the fantasy baseball league that we're trying to start. We want to create a head-to-head league of 8 to 12 teams, and we're looking for other serious players who really know baseball and will manage their teams actively all season long, including making trades and other roster moves. We've set up a meetup group for the purpose of gauging interest in the league and getting together for a live draft: check out the group at http://www.meetup.com/The-East-Bay-Fantasy-Baseball-Meetup-for-Serious-Players/. We thought it would be fun to organize the league locally so we could get together with the other players every once in a while to trash-talk over drinks or to go to a game together, so I thought I'd post on this blog to see if any A's fans are interested in coming on board. Hope some of you will join us and hope to see the rest of you at an A's game this summer!
