A few things Bills fans might be surprised to learn

In a kaisertown first, I might actually be posting a short fanpost .... and I just refered to myself in the third person.  I've had a couple posts in which I essentially argue against myself on...

my thoughts and a little film study

The first thing that needs to be discussed is how terrible Langston Walker was.  He was awful.  I think both of Trent's sacks were on him and for every pass play that he didn't screw up, there was...

numbers for the optimists

Buffalo scored 30 offensive touchdowns last year.  It was a strong 24th best in the league.  Rian Lindell hit 78.9% of his field goals and Buffalo finished an even stronger 28th in that category. ...

Some thoughts

I'll start with something I found by accident.  I'm not sure if people have ever seen this, but pro-football reference has a list of the Bills' starters by year and also gives their record each...

Who did better, me or the Bills?

I did a live shadow draft where I made the picks for Buffalo when they were (or were going to be) on the clock.  Now that my mock offseason has gotten to the point where the roster has taken shape,...

A bunch of quick (for me) thoughts followed by a mock draft

Buffalo's DEs had 8 sacks last season.  That tied with Cincinatti for the second fewest of the 22 teams that ran a 4-3 (Cleveland was the only 3-4 team with 8 or fewer sacks from their OLBs and...

phase one of my mock offseason

So here is my mock offseason.  This is what I would do if I were running the show and not what I think Buffalo will do. First I want to say that I'm on board with the Dockery cut.  I was really...

Pat Kirwan has Jabari Greer as the 19th best FA available

It's a list that gets ugly pretty quickly. Anyone want to speculate where Dockery would have ranked had he been cut a day earlier? He has to be in the top 40 if not much higher. There's a couple surprises in there and it is worth skimming through if nothing else.

Some Thoughts

I said I would try and figure out how much money Buffalo had to spend this offseason under their cash to cap philosophy.  I added up all the money they spent on new contracts and player salaries...

Alex Mack Scouting Report

12

Scott Wright and NFLDraftCountdown.com put up his scouting report for California center, Alex Mack. He obviously says very good things about him, but like me doesn't seem to be all that blown away with him. I think as the draft approaches you will hear fewer and fewer "best center in 10 years" type of comments from respected scouts. He is a legit first round guy, but it should be an excellent debate right up until the draft as to whether or not he really is worthy of the 11th selection.

My thoughts on the game and our reactions

This post is largely a defense of Buffalo's defensive schemes.  Or at the very least the effectiveness of those schemes against the Dolphins.  Going into the game I was most concerned about...

special teams tackles

So I recently noticed that NFL.com and buffalobills.com have two different sets of stats up for tackles.  The player bios on buffalobills.com have different numbers all together.  The differences...

A look into the run defenses of Buffalo's 2008 opponents

[Note by Brian Galliford, 05/10/08 9:48 AM EDT ] Curious to know more about the Buffalo Bills' 2008 opponents?  Our very own kaisertown has done a wonderful job of breaking down the run defense...

Mike Viti

The Bills may not have added a fullback during the draft, but they did add an interesting one on sunday evening. NFL.com profile of Mike Viti I will give some of the highlights: 5'9  242 pounds...

Is McKelvin a good fit for the Bills? + a few other things

I will start this diary with a random prediction.  Colt Brennan will be the San Francisco 49ers 4th round selection and will be one of the most talked about picks in the entire draft.  SF loves to...

Why Brad Butler can't play center

He is too tall.  Brad Butler measured in at 6 feet and 7 1/8 inches at the combine.  His listed height is not an exageration.Picture a center, bent over before a snap.  Now imagine how much time he...

The Trade Value of J.P. Losman

[editor's note, by Brian Galliford] Promoted from the diaries, kaisertown takes an excellent look at where Buffalo Bills QB J.P. Losman could end up should the Bills trade him. Great work,...
