Hey BSD community,

I think it's safe to say it's been a tough week for all of us.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 I was sitting in a movie theater, and I was thinking about all my Penn State friends and family who were in State College and wishing I could be with them to say goodbye to our coach Joe Paterno.

Well it turns out Joe decided to visit me in the form of a song that was playing over the pre-movie ads by an artist named Robert Ellis. I was overwhelmed by the message, and wanted to put together some kind of montage to share it with people, but I had no videos or pictures, and I'm not very good at putting that kind of stuff together. So I wondered what would happen if I just played the song over one of my other favorite Joe Paterno videos that the Football program originally made using another song.... and I wasn't really prepared for what I saw. I don't know how to describe it, but i just wanted to share this with Joe's friends and fans, and Penn Staters everywhere.

I hope you enjoy it.

We'll never forget you Joe!

Black Shoe Diaries BTN's Top Ten Receivers of the 90's

Just saw this special on BTN giving their list of the Top 10 Wide Receivers of the 90's. Don't know how long ago it aired or if there has already been a post about it (is there a way to search that?) Just thought it was interesting.

1. Desmond Howard (Michigan)

2. David Boston (OSU)

3. Plaxico Burress (MSU)

4. Bobby Engram (PSU)

5. Tim Dwight (Iowa)

6. Amani Toomer (Michigan)

7. Dwayne Bates (NW)

8. Terry Glenn (OSU)

9. Tai Streets (Michigan)

10. O.J. McDuffie (PSU)

I didn't really start following Big Ten football until I got to PSU in the latter 90's, but I'd be curious about any thoughts on this list.
