Let's Help Get Jack Brickhouse's Statue repaired and back on Display

Right now, the statue of Jack Brickhouse that was on display on Michigan Avenue (lets not get into why it was on Michigan Ave and not in it's proper place at Wrigley as opposed to the person whos statue is at Wrigley) has been taken down and is in need of major repairs. Pat Brickhouse, along with the Chicago Baseball Museum are trying to raise funds to repair the statue. Lets back Jack and get this statue of a real Chicago Broadcasting icon back on display. No link, but on WGN radio...on the 9:00 news it was announced that the sale of the Cubs to the Ricketts family has finally been finalized and the family now has officially taken control of the team. There will be a press conference by TOm Ricketts on Friday at Wrigley Field to officially introduce themselves. More details will follow, but I just wanted to post that the Cubs finally officially have new owners.

Anyone at The July 23 Season ticket holder meeting?

I took the Wrigley Field tour today (7-23) and at one point while we were going up to the pressboxes, Crane Kenny passed us up and said hello to everyone on the tour. Once we got into the press box, I noticed that there was a group of people sitting on the 1st base side of the box seats, and there were chairs set up in front of them. I recognized right away what was going on, it was another Season Ticket holders meeting. (I went to one of these last year, so I knew right away what was going on). Later on in the tour, when we were able to go on the field in the dirt by the dugouts, I walked over to the visitor side to see if I could hear what they were talking about, but I wasn't able to hear anything. I also did not see anyone that I knew from my section there either. I was just wondering...did anyone here get an invite to this season ticket holder meeting and if you did, what was discussed?

Ok Everyone...You had fun with Fonzie2178's "unknown" Cub. Now we have a real hard one. Here are the clues. This picture was taken at Wrigley Field. The player is a Pitcher and yes, he was on the major league roster when this picture was taken. His major league career was extremely short. He was acquired by the Cubs in a very famous trade. NAME THIS CUB! (sorry Al...I know I emailed this picture to you to use, but I just couldn't keep this to myself any longer)
