Arrowhead Pride S prospects (pre workouts)

FS/SS we need to bring one in to start. With No salary cap we are going to have to draft a Saftety. Witch is not a bad thing this year as the class is very deep.

The prosspects.

1.* Eric Berry, 5'11'' 203, Tenn (JR) SS/FS - An amazing athlete, Excellent playmaker, Solid tackler with great Ball skills. (early 1st rd)

2.** Earl Thomas, 5'10'' 200, Texas (Red Shirt So) SS/FS/CB  - Very similar to Eric Berry. Maybe better in coverage. (1st - 2nd)

3. Chad Jones, 6'3'' 214, LSU, (JR) FS/SS  - SEC Second Team (coaches) 66 Tackles and 3 Ints in 2009. Big athlete with playmaking ability. (1st - 2nd )

4. Taylor Mays, 6'3'' 235, USC (4.47) SS/FS - Rare size and athletic ability. Big Hitter and Playmaker in the secondary. (1st - 2nd rd)

5. Morgan Burnett, 6'1'' 210, GT (JR) FS/SS - 235 carear tackles and 14 Ints in his carear. A good Safety. (1st - 2nd)

6. Nate Allen, 6'1'' 206, South Florida, (4.5) FS/SS - 4Ints in 2009. a really solid safety prospect who stands out on the field. (2nd rd)

7.* Major Wright, 6'0'' 204, Florida (JR) FS/SS - 3 Ints in 2009. This is a very good player who most years would be a #1 or #2 prospect at the position. (1st - 3rd rd)

8.** Reshad Jones, 6'2'' 212, Georgia (JR) SS/FS - 73 tackles and 4 Ints in 2009. An Excellent all around Safety. (1st - 3rd rd)

9. TJ Ward, 5'10'' 201, Oregon (4.56) SS/FS - A walk on at Oregon had 101 tackles in 2008. One of the key peices to the Defense. The #1 senior SS prospect. But I'm one of those people who feel Safety is a position that needs to be interchangable so he is #9 overall safety. (2nd -3rd)

10.  Kam Chancellor, 6'3'' 230, VT (4.58) FS/SS - Big Safety more of the in the Box type. (3rd - 4th rd)

11.** Darrell Stuckey, 5'11'' 205, KU (4.5) SS/FS - Big 12 Honerable Mention (coaches), From Kansas City Kansas. 93 tackles in 2009, and 98 tackles in 2008. A solid performer. ( 3rd rd)

12. Harry Coleman, 6'2'' 206, LSU (4.53) SS/FS - Played Strong side LB in 2009. Will be drafted to play SS. (3rd - 4th)

13.*** Robert Johnson, 6'2'' 200, Utah (4.52) FS/SS - First Team Mountain West. An Excellent playmaker who constantly gets his hands on the ball. Multiple games with 2 or more INTs.

14. Kyle McCarthy, 6'0'' 210, ND (4.58) SS/FS - Captain for ND 59 tackles and 5 Ints in 2009. If we draft a ND player other than Golden Tate this is who I would take. (4th - 5th rd)

15. Terrell Skinner, 6'2'' 214, Maryland (4.59) FS/SS - Played on a Maryland D that flat out sucked this year. Not a player high on my list. (4th - 5th rd)

16. Kurt Coleman, 5'10'' 195, Ohio St (4.57) SS/FS - First Team All Big Ten. Team MVP and ball hawk. Good prospect somewhat undersized for safety, could play CB in the NFL. (4th rd)

17.* Myron Rolle, 6'2'' 223, Florida St, (4.67) SS/FS - Alot of where this player goes in the draft depends on his workouts at the combine. After taking a year off while in Oxford on his Rhodes Scholarship. He needs to show scouts that he is in shape. (4th - 6th)

18.** Barry Church, 6'1'' 219, Toledo (4.56) SS/FS - MAC First Team for the FOURTH time. In addition to being a good safey he had 8 1/2 TFL and 6 QB hurries along with 3 blocked kicks this year. (5th rd)

19. Nick Polk, 5'11'' 219, Indiana (4.54) FS/SS - Has battled injury in his carear but still a solid prospect. (5th rd)

20. Robert Vaugn, 6'0'' 200, UConn (4.59) - FS/SS - A solid prospect. (5th - 6th rd)

21. ** Larry Asante, 6'0'' 215, Neb (4.56) SS/FS - Big 12 First Team, 70 tackles 2 Ints in 2009. A very good prospect. (6th - 7th rd)

22. Justin Woodall, 6'1'' 220, Alabama (4.64) SS/FS - 45 tackles and 3 Ints with 13 passes defended in 2009. A Big Very physical Safety. ? is does he have the speed to cover. (6th rd)

23. Van Eskridge, 6'0'' 195, East Car (4.65) FS/SS - A very good player. 40 time is no great but always seems to be in the right place. (6th rd)

24. Brad Phillips, 6'2'' 215, NW (4.65) FS/SS - First Team Big Ten (coaches), 84 tackles 4 forced fumbles 3 sacks and 1 Int in 2009. a very good player. (6th - 7th rd)

25. Kendrick Lewis, 5'11'' 195, Ole Miss ( 4.59) FS/SS - ? (7th rd)

26. Darion Stewart, 5'11'' 216, SC (4.6) SS/FS - Solid prospect, interested to see if he can improve his 40 time. (7th)

27.  Aaron Webster, 6'2'' 211, Cincy (4.54) SS/FS - Big East First Team. An inderrated player in my opinion. 62 tackles, 4 Ints in 2009. a really good prospect. (7th - FA)

28. Randy Phillips, 6'0'' 210, Miami (4.59) FS/SS - 46 tackles and 2 Ints in 9 games.  a solid prospect. (7th - FA)

29. Jerome Miles, 6'2'' 215, UMass (4.57) FS/SS - FCS First Team All American, 62 tackles and 2 Ints in 2009. a good prospect. (7th - FA)

30. Justin Thornton, 6'1'' 204, KU (4.59) FS/SS - Solid player. Played both Safety and CB for KU. a solid prospect for the FS position.

31. Cody Grimm, 5'11'' 210, VT (4.68) SS - Third Team All American, A playmaker but not sure where he will line up at in the NFL. Not sure he has the speed for Safety in the NFL.

Those are the prospects now the players I would like the Chiefs to look at after the Jump.

Arrowhead Pride UFA prospects for 2010 No Salary Cap.

These are players that would upgrade our team. If any of these players are not resigned by their current team we should target them.

QB. Set with Cassel and Croyle.

HB. Could use comp for #2 RB position.

1. Cadillac Williams (28) TB

2. Chestor Taylor (30) Minn

Mike Bell, Leon Washington, Leonard Weaver, and White are all RFAs.

TE. A position we could use someone.

1. Ben  Watson (29) NE

2. Randy McMichael (31) St Louis

3. LJ Smith (30) Balt

I would like to get any of these three players.

WR. We need a quality starting caliber WR and a KR/PR

1. Antonio Bryant (29) TB if there is one player to overpay to get in KC this is it.

2. Hixon (25) NY Giants, This player would give us another quality WR and fill our KR/PR hole.

3. Chambers, We really need to resign Chambers.

Brad Smith, Jackson, Austin, Marshall, Edwards, Floyd, Moore, Urban all RFAs.

O-Line.

NO PROSPECTS.

Evans, Mankins, McNeil, Colon, Penn, Colledge, Baas, Spencer all RFAs

NT. Our biggest NEED.

1. Wilfork, (28) NE

2. Franklin (30) SF

3. Pickett (30) GB

4. Hampton (32) Pitt

We really need to sign one of these players if they hit the market if two hit the market make offers to both and GET atleast one of them.

LBs

1. Peppers, (30) Car (OLB) he has shown interest inthe position if Car does not make the offer he wants then we could have a real shot at getting him in KC. We would not be in a $ war with the teams running the 4/3 as I am sure he would want to go to a team runnig the 3/4.

2. Dansby, (29) Ariz. If Dansby does not resibn in Ariz I would be surprised if he is not a Chief next year.

3. Larry Foote, (30) Det. good player for the 3/4 versatle and experianced in the D. Loved him when he was with Pitt.

CB

1 Carlos Rogers The only prospect I like and if he hits the market will demand alot of money as many teams would be fighting for his services.

Hobbs and Washington both RFAs they were my other options.

Safety

NO Players.

Collins, Bethea, Harper, Atogwe, Bigby, Landry, Manning, All RFAs.

So I see the now added RFAs as our Trade Down additions to make it work. Those senarios will prob happen more this year then past years.

My Dream Off Season. After the Jump I want the discussion to be about the potential FAs but I am going to add FA signings with mock draft to show why this is my DREAM off season.

Arrowhead Pride CB prospects (pre workouts)

This is a position that we have alot of young players at on the roster. The ? is B. Carr a starting CB or is he best suited as a nickle. Also is Washington going to step up and be the nickle back we need or is he a Dime backer at best.  So if we draft a CB I say we go for the sure starter possible lock down type guy. That would mean either our 1st pick or one the the 2nd rd picks.

Here are the prospects.

1. Patrick Robinson, 5'11'' 194, Florida St (4.42) - Will be one of the first 3 CBs off teh board. Extremely fast with Excellent ball skills. (1st rd)

6. Devin McCourty, 5'11'' 190, Rutgers (4.47) - Solid CB and ST player. Brother was a 6th rd pick of the Tennesee Titans last year. Known for hi physical play.

12. Trevard Lindley, 5'11'' 180, Kentucky (4.53) - Not one of my favorite prospects but a player with good ball skills. (2nd - 3rd d)

13. ** Kyle Wilson, 5'10'' 186, Boise St (4.42) - If we are looking for a nickle CB and PR/KR this is the player I draft. Excellent coverage ability and a very good KR/PR with Excellent speed. (3rd rd)

16. Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, 6'1'' 205, Indiana (PA), (4.48) - Don't know a whole lot about this prospect but he apears to have the Size, Speed and NAME to be a Star. (3rd - 4th rd)

17. * Myron Lewis, 6'2'' 205, Vandy (4.52) - A solid all around player who I really like a very good 3rd rd option. (3rd - 4th rd)

25. Walter Thurmond, 5'11'' 182, Oregon (4.53) -  Itall depends on wether he is able to work out for scouts. Is a player I was very high on before he got injured. (5th - 6th rd)

26. Patrick Stoudamire, 5'11'' 198, West Illinois (4.49) - Good Athlete and Ball Hawk, From a smaller school so he could easily fall to the 6th rd. (6th rd)

Arrowhead Pride 3/4 ILB prospects (pre workouts)

3/4 ILB is what I consider to be one of the most important positions on the field. The 3/4 takes a diff type of LB than the 4/3 at all positions except maybe one and we have it filled with DJ or Demario. With that said here are my 3/4 ILB prospects. I have also mentioned that I feel LBs in the 3/4 expecially should be able to play all 4 positions.

1.* Rolando McClain, 6'4'' 256, Ala (JR) ILB/OLB - Undobtidly the best LB in this years draft. Very gifted athlete who is willing to use them. (early 1st rd)

2. Brandon Spikes, 6'3' 256, Florida (4.76) ILB/OLB - A good All around LB who battled injury in 2009. Will be a first rd pick.

3. Ricky Sapp, 6'4'' 240, Clemson (4.58) OLB/ILB - I see him better suited as an ILB in the 3/4. Great athlete, who needs to prove he has the strength for OLB. (1st rd)

4. Sean Weatherspoon, 6'2'' 245, MU (4.59) ILB/OLB - The atlete Tackling Machine, would be a great fit at ILB in the 3/4 he could play either spot. (late 1st rd)

5. Sean Lee, 6'2'' 236, Penn St (4.74) ILB - Out 2008 with ligament damage in his knee and missed 4 games in 2009 with a sprained knee. (2nd rd)

6. Rodderick Muckelroy, 6'2'' 235, Texas (4.67) ILB - Big 12 Second Team. Lead the Longhorns in tackles in 2009. Could be better against the run. (2nd - 3rd rd)

7. * O'Brian Schofield, 6'2'' 248, Wisc (4.63) ILB/OLB - 10 sacks in 2009, 22.5 TFL, Would fit good at ILB in the 3/4 as he could also sub at OLB in situations. (3rd rd)

8. Von Miller, 6'3'' 240, Tex A&M (JR) ILB/OLB - 17 sacks in 2009. Size makes him a better fit at ILB not sure about him in pass coverage. (2nd - 4th rd)

9.* AJ Edds, 6'4'' 244, Iowa (4.68) OLB/ILB - Good against play action and willing to take on blockers. A good tackler sounds like what we need at ILB next to DJ or Demario.  (2nd - 4th rd)

10. Daryl Washington, 6'2'' 234, TCU (4.57) ILB - 109 tackles in 2009, A butkus award simifinalist. A good prospect but looks to be best suited for DJs spot. (3rd rd)

11. Eric Norwood, 6'0'' 252, SC (4.67) OLB/ILB - Three time SEC selection. Good all around not real sure about his coverage ability at ILB. Best suited for OLB. (2nd - 3rd rd)

12. Micah Johnson, 6'2'' 258, Kentucky (4.78) ILB/OLB - 2 Time SEC second team. Injured his MCL in final game of the season. (3rd - 4th rd could fall further due to injury.)

13. **Dexter Davis, 6'2'' 255, Ariz St (4.78) OLB/ILB - Pac Ten First Team at OLB, better suited for OLB but could play ILB very well in the 3/4 scheme. A player who started all 50 games of his college carear. (4th rd)

14. Darryl Sharpton, 5'11'' 235, Miami (4.63) ILB - Had 106 tackles in 2009 including 15 against Wisc. A solid prospect. ( 4th rd)

15. Pat Angerer, 6'0'' 235, Iowa (4.52) ILB - Second Team All American, 135 tackles in 2009, sense team struggled at times against the run would say his best fit is already filled on our team by DJ or Demario. (4th - 5th rd)

16.** Perry Riley, 6'1'' 245, LSU (4.64) OLB/ILB - Butkus award finalist in 2008. I really like this player as a 3/4 ILB as he has the speed and hips to cover downfield.  (5th rd)

17. Reggie Carter, 6'0'' 230, UCLA (4.73) ILB - Pac Ten First Team, Second Team in 2008. A bit undersized but could potentially play either ILB spot. (5th - 6th rd)

18. ** Lary Hart, 6'0'' 248, Central Ark (4.58) OLB/ILB - 2 Time Defensive Player of the Year. Could play OLB or ILB in the 3/4 with his gifted athletic ability. (6th - FA)

19. * Joe Pawelek, 6'2'' 240, Baylor (4.83) ILB - 2 Time Academic All American. 2006 Second Team Big 12, 2007 Honerable mention Big 12, 2008 First Team Big 12, and 2009 Second Team Big 12, (all coaches) 109 tackles in 2009. (6th - 7th rd)

Those are my 3/4 ILB prospects.

Players I would like as Chiefs after the jump.

Arrowhead Pride 3/4 NT prospects (pre workouts)

3/4 NT is a specialist position and not all DT make good candidates. This is MY list of potential 3/4 NTs. Some of these players may fall off and a few may be added after wourkouts. It all depends on how they do in upcomming strength and explosion tests. As those are the most important thing regarding the man in the middle. Players I am interested in will get * and really interested will get ** stars.

1. Ndamukung Suh, 6'4'' 302, Neb (5.02) DT/NT - Although he apears better suited for the 4/3 or 3/4 DE position. He could be a solid to great NT with the addition of a few pounds of muscle. The #1 DT prospect on the board probably gone before we pick. (early 1st)

2. Gerald McCoy, 6'4'' 298, Okl (JR) DT/NT - Same assesment as Suh except he should be there when we pick. (1st)

3. Brian Price, 6'2'' 300, UCLA (JR) DT/NT - This is a player I am interested to see how his workouts go. A bit small for the position. (1st - 2nd)

4. Terrance Cody, 6'4'' 365, Ala (5.72) NT - Alot of ?s about Mount Cody and his work ethic. You can not deny he is huge and fits the mold of a 3/4 NT. If he falls to the 2nd rd a real possible selection. (1st - 2nd)

5. Dan Williams, 6'2'' 327, Tenn (5.23) NT/DT - SEC Second Team, hs the size, but I worry that Williams will be the major bust of the year. He did not stand out to me in any of the Tenn games I watched this year. (1st - 2nd)

6. ** Jared Odrick, 6'5'' 306, Penn St (5.05) DT/NT - Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. This is a player I REALLY like, could use a few more pounds. This is my #1 option in this years draft, I expect him to grade out very well. (1st - 2nd)

7.* D'Anthony Smith, 6'2'' 300, Louis Tech (4.95) DT/NT - WAC First Team (coaches), One of my Favorite DT to watch. A little undersized, but will be interesting to see how he grades out in workouts. (3rd - 4th rd)

8. * Vince Oghabaase, 6'6'' 305, Duke (5.06) DT/NT - Good upside, but ? about consistancy. Banged up all year missing 4 games resulting in drop down the board. Has the size and potential to be a great player. Interesting to see how he grades out. (3rd - 4th rd)

9. Mike Neal, 6'3'' 302, Purdue (4.96) DT/NT - This is a player who would need to gain weight, but typical of Purdue players is a hard worker with drive. Someone I am waiting for strength drills to get a true evaluation of. (4th rd)

10. ** Torrell Troup, 6'3'' 314, UCF (5.28) NT/DT - A hard worker who has made great strides throughout his college carear. Was 345 lbs as a Freshman. This is a player I feel would take a little time to develop, but will have a very good NFL carear at NT. (4th - 5th rd)

11. ** Cam Thomas, 6'3'' 238, NC (5.18) NT/DT - Massive DT, Has the tools to be a solid NT in the NFL. Workouts could easily jump this player up the boards. A player I like but still scared of NC DTs after Ryan Sims. (6th - 7th rd)

12. Jeff Owens, 6'3'' 306, Georgia (4.98) DT/NT - Tore his ACL in 2008, but has been solid in 2009 not missing a single game or practice, and apears healthy. With good #s in lower body strength excersizes could show to be a solid option. (7th rd)

13. Jay Ross, 6'3'' 314, East Car (5.09) NT/DT - 2 time conferance USA Honerable mention, Has been very good throughout his carear and has never missed a game due to injury. A tough player who plays with his motor maxed out. (7th - FA)

14.* Ekom Udofia, 6'2'' 320, Stanford (5.18) NT - A true NT who has been solid throughout his carear. Played fo Stanford who over the last 4 years has become one of my favorite programs as they work as a TEAM, and always show good effort. A very good prospect, who could come late in the draft. (7th - FA)

15. Kade Weston, 6'5'' 325, Georgia (5.28) NT/DT - Freshman All American in 2006. Has been solid throughout his carear. A good option at this point to bring in Post Draft for a workout. (URFA)

16. Travis Ivey, 6'4'' 325, Maryland (5.23) NT/DT - Foot injury in 2008, Will see how he grades out in drills. A prospect for the 3/4 NT position. (URFA)

The players I want the Chiefs to take long looks at after the jump.

Arrowhead Pride OT prospects watch list (Pre Workout)

OT is a position that alot of us vary on wether we should try to upgrade the position. Some people are arguing that the overall O-Line class is down talent wise at the top. I disagree and here are the prospects.

1. Russell Okung, 6'5'' 302, Okl St (5.25) - Outland Trophy Finalist who only gave up one sack all year. After looking through his states and what is said about him I have been convinced he is the best T in the draft. (early 1st rd)

2. Anthony Davis,6'6'' 325, Rutgers (JR) - First Team All BIg East, Has all the tools to be a very good NFL tackle and is a Dominant Run Blocker. (1st rd)

3. Trent Williams, 6'5'' 318, Okla (5.3) - First Team All American. I like what I have seen watchin this guy play ball. Will be a day 1 starter in the NFL. (1)

4. Bruce Campbell, 6'7'' 310, Maryland (JR) - Freakish Athlete, with amazing strength, and foot speed. Has battled injuries throughout his college carear but is known as the Vernon Davis of the O-Line, due to his amazing speed and size combo. (1st rd)

5. Bryan Baluga,6'5'' 315, Iowa (JR) - Big Ten O-Lineman of the year, even with missing 3 games due to injury. A solid O-Lineman. (1st - 2nd rd)

6. Charles Brown, 6'5'' 292, USC (5.1) - Pac Ten First Team (coaches) Good Athlete at the position with solid skill set. (1st - 2nd)

7. Ciron Black, 6'5'' 322, LSU (5.35) - First Team SEC (coaches and media) Consistant player who has never missed a game in his carear. (2nd - 3rd)

8. Zane Beadles, 6'4'' 305, Utah (5.28) - Second Team All American. Looks like a very solid all around OT. (expected 3rd - 4th rd) An honest 2nd rd Talent.

9. *** Jared Valdheer, 6'8'' 321, Hillsdale, (4.89) - 3 TIME Little America First Team All American, that is Div 2, 3, and NAIA. Amazing Speed and Size Combo could easily turn out to be the Best O-Lineman to come out this year. Comming from a smaller school he falls a bit. (4th - 5th rd) If we want an Offensive Tackle in the draft I target this one. He has 1st rd Talent.

10. Ed Wang, 6'5'' 309, V Tech (4.95) - ACC Second Team (media), Good Athlete at the position I see him at either the G or T spot. Good Player. (4th - 5th rd) I feel he is a 2nd rd Talent.

11. Chris Marinelli, 6'7'' 298, Stanford (5.23) - Second Team All American, This is another O-Lineman I really like and someone who could more than likely get picked up late I have seen him as a (6th - URFA) but I feel he should go in the 2-5 range.

12.  Kyle Calloway, 6'7'' 315, Iowa (5.25) - Big Ten Second Team (media), I was impressed when watching Calloway play. (2nd - 3rd rd)

13. Roger Saffold, 6'5'' 318, Indiana (5.23) - Big Ten Second Team (4th - 5th rd)

14. Selvish Capers, 6'5'' 298, WV (4.9) - Big East Second Team, Great Athletic Ability. Multiple mental errors I saw while watching him play dropped him on my board. (2nd - 3rd rd) deserving of 4th - 5th rd pick.

15. Adam Ulatoski, 6'6'' 302, Tex (5.28) - Big 12 Second Team (coaches) (4th - 6th rd)

16. Derek Hardmon, 6'6'' 295, Eastern Kentucky (5.23) - First  Team FCS All American. (6th - URFA)

17. Dennis Landolt, 6'4'' 303, Penn St (5.2) - Third Team All American. (6th - URFA)

18. Jason Fox, 6'6'' 314, Miami (5.1) - Expected 2nd rd pick who is having knee surgery, and has won 0 Awards. Had to move him down to more acceptible position. (2nd - 6th rd) This player could trully go anywhere in the draft.

19. Zipp Duncan, 6'5'' 292, Kentucky (5.09) - SEC Second Team. Did a great job this year protecting his QBs blind side, and a pretty good run blocker. (6th - URFA)

20. Jeff Linkenbach, 6'6'' 311, Cinci (5.18) - Big East Second Team. (6th - FA)

21. James Williams, 6'5'' 298, Harvard (5.17) - FCS Second Team All American (6th - FA)

22. Alonzo Durham, 6'4'' 285, Nevada (5.2) - Third Team All American. (6th - FA)

23. Mike Aguayo, 6'4'' 300, UTEP (5.14) - Conferance USA First Team. (7th - FA)

24. Tony Washington, 6'7'' 305, Abiline Christian (5.2) - AP Little America First Team All American 2 years in a row. (6th - FA)

25. Sam Young, 6'8'' 320, ND (5.3) - Ranked anywher from 6th best OT to 15th in the draft. I feel he is WAY overrated as I watched him get Dominated any time he went up against stellar competition. (expected 3rd - 4th rd selection who I feel is worth a 6th at best. I would rather have any of the 24 players listed above before him and you can make that 26 OT I would rather have including Albert and O'Call and give him an = to B.Richardson.

26. Mike Caussin, 6'5'' 240, James Madison, (4.8) TE - 25 receptions 438 yds, and 4 TDs. Had 145 yds and 2 TDs in one game against VMI. Has potential to be a solid TE. (6th - URFA)

27. Jeff Cottam, 6'8'' 260, Tenn (4.7) TE - The younger brother. Has good speed for the position and similar skill set to his older brother. Is worth a look as he was on the John Mackey watch list. (7th - URFA)

28. Greg Boone,6'3'' 287, V Tech (4.8) TE/FB - All SEC Second Team (media), A big body at the position who is a good blocker. Shows good ability with the ball in his hands/ YAC ability. Although he had a pretty invisible senior year could still get a look. (7th - URFA)

29. Brody Eldridge, 6'5'' 256, Okl (4.8) TE - All Big 12 Second Team as a OG. Could be looked at as a blocking TE. (7th - URFA)

Players I would like as Chiefs after the jump.

Arrowhead Pride WR Prospects watch list. (Pre Workouts)

Prob the deepest and hardest position to scout due to the # of players at the position. So the way I go about it is first look at Speed, then into scouting reports/stats, Then I refer to Height and weight.

This is what I came up with my 39 top WR prospects. This will be a pretty long post. Look through it and give me some imput on my picks. will put 40 times in () following school name.

1. Dez Bryant, 6'2'' 220, Okl St - Excellent hands and body control. Will fight for the ball. Most likely the first WR of the board. (rd 1)

2. Golden Tate, 5'11'' 195, ND - All around football STAR. I tried several ways to move him down atleast to #5 on the board no luck and there is a better chance he moves ahead of Bryant as the #1 WR prospect. (1st - 2nd rd)

3. Branden Lafell, 6'3'' 206, LSU (4.5 40 yd) - Good tall WR, excellent athletic ability, and good hands. (1st -2nd rd)

4. Jeremy Williams, 6'1'' 205, Tulane (4.5) - This is a WR i feel will be drafted higher than his true value. I see Williams as an average posession WR. (expected 1st - 2nd rd) I feel he is a 3rd - 4th rd talent.

5. D Thomas, 6'3'' 229, GT - If this JR runs a good 40 at the combine he could easily move into 1st rd consideration. I see him as a future STUD in the NFL at the WR position. Has all the tools. (2nd - 3rd rd prediction)

6. M. Gillyard, 6'0'' 187, Cincy (4.5) - Big play style WR I ? his ability agains bump and run coverage at the next level, however he is a good KR/PR option with alot of upside at WR. (2nd rd)

7. D Williams, 6'1'' 195, USC - His 40 time will effect draft status, good hands and route running ability. seen as a dependable possesion WR. (1st - 3rd rd)

8. A. Benn, 6'2'' 220, Illinois - Appears to have all the tools, some ? about drops and effort but should be a solid to good NFL player. (1st - 3rd rd)

9. Denario Alexander, 6'4'' 215, MU (4.5) - Some ?s about his durability hurt his stock, otherwise would be 1st rd consideration. Was arguably the best WR in college this year. If he stays healthy will be a game changing player. (2nd - 4th rd)

10. Riley Cooper, 6'3'' 215, Florida (4.49) - Could of come out last year. A solid all around WR with good hands. Could be a top performing rookie next year. (2nd - 4th rd)

11. Jordan Shipley, 6'0'' 190, Texas (4.45) - Excellent in the return game, great hands. Looks to me to be a good ST player and posession WR. Needs to run a good 40. (2nd - 3rd rd)

12. Jacoby Ford, 5'9'' 185, Clemson (4.37) - An electrifying player who could be an excellent KR/PR and slot WR. NFL comparison Bess of Miami. (2nd - 4th rd)

13. Eric Decker, 6'3'' 215, Minn (4.5) - An excellent route runner with good hands. Has struggled with injuries throughout his carear. If he can kick the injury bug will be a solid NFL WR. (2nd - 4th rd)

14. Blair White, 6'2'' 205, Mich St (4.5) - Academic All American with 3.89 GPA. 64 reception, 876 receiving yds and 8 TDs this season. (3rd - 5th rd)

15. Freddie Barnes, 6'1'' 206, Bowl Green (4.5) - Amazing senior season, 155 receptions 19TDs and 1770 receiving yds. (looks to be a 4th - 6th rd selection but would not be surprised if he goes as high as the 2nd rd.)

16. Taylor Price, 6'1'' 212, Ohio (4.36) - Ohio All Time receptions leader. 52 receptions, 735 yds, and 5 TDs this year. Looks like a solid prospect. (4th - 6th rd)

17. Andre Roberts, 5'11'' 190, Citadel (4.49) - 2009 Walter Payton Award Finalist. 77 receptions 792 yds, and 8 TDs. Expected to be one of the first sub division players off the board. (3rd - 5th rd)

18. Marcus Easley, 6'2'' 216, UConn (4.4) Led UConn in receptions this year but only had 1 carear reception going into 2009. could get picked late in the draft. (4th - 6th rd)

19. Chris Carter, 6'0'' 195, UC Davis (4.49) - First Team All-Great West in 2008. Had 18 receptions and 190 yds vs Montana this year. (5th - 7th rd)

20. Chris McGaha 6'1'' 193, Ariz St (4.5) - All Pac Ten Second Team 2009, (Coaches), 48 receptions 596 yds and 4 TDs. Looks to be a solid posesion WR. (4th - 6th rd)

Arrowhead Pride RB Prospects (pre workouts)

This is my watch list and player ranking. along with expected draft position.

HB is a position we could be looking to add depth for next season.

1.  C.J. Spiller,5'11'' 195 Clem - An all around player, great athlete with elite speed, excellent hands, good body control. (This should be the 1st RB off the board).

2.  Toby Gerhart, 6'1'' 235 Stan - This guy is the definition of a bruising runner, has great feet for a big man and always finishes his runs. lacks the pull away speed of elite players, but will be effective power back. If we really want a POWER back to complement Charles I do what it takes to get Gerhart as he would also give us another FB option and more looks to throw at the D. (2-3 rd)

3. Dixon, 6'1'' 235 Miss St - Expected by most to be a good NFL back. Good feet for a big guy and decent speed. I'm not completly sold on him, although I  have not seen alot I guestion his ability against great competition. (1-3 rd)

4. Mathews Jr, 5'11'' 220 Fresno St - This is a good football player, has all the tools to be a really good back. Good feet, and break tackle ability, also shows the ability to get small, slide by ability. (1st - 3rd)

5. Dwyer, 5'11'' 235 GT - Good Blocker, decent feet, excellent break tackle ability, average speed. Dwyer should be a dependable player in the NFL. (2nd - 3rd)

6. Best, 5'10'' 195 Cal - super fast player with great playmaking ability, strength and break tackle ability are ?, could be Reggy Bush type in the NFL. (2nd - 4th) his injury is going to hurt his stock some.

7. Hardesty, 6'0'' 215 Tenn - Is a power running back, downhill type of guy that has good balance, and a chance to be really good at the next level. Average break away speed. (3rd - 5th)

8. McCluster, 5'7'' 168 Ole Miss - Watching this kid run he looks alot like JC but needs to add weight in a big way if he wants to be succesful in the NFL at any other position than returner. Very fast palyer with plenty of moves in his bag. Bold Prediction if McCluster adds 20 lbs he will be the best back to come out of this years draft.  (2nd - 3rd)

9. Joique Bell, 5'11'' 224 Wayne St - This is a player who looks like a complete package excellent ability. Only ? is comming from a smaller school how long will it take for him to get accustomed to the speed of  play in the NFL. This is a player the Chiefs should look into. (expected 4th - 5th rd)

10. Royster 6'1'' 213 Penn St - Royster is a solid player I ? his first step ability in the NFL, but he is a player who you get 100% out of all the time. He will find a way to contribute. Determined Athlete with average ability. (2nd 5th rd) lots of varied opinions on this players ability.

11. Tate, 5'11'' 218 Aub - Powerful compact runner, downhill style player, decent foot speed and good Break Tackle ability, Has potential but really needs to work on top end speed. witch is bit slow. (3rd - 5th rd) alot will depend on his 40 time.

12. Miquel Lewis 5'6'' 195 - Compact runner who is an excellent athlete, good hands as a reciever, and excellent RB skills, excellent feet and quickness. Solid body at almost 200 lbs and only 5'6'' so he is hard to see. This is a player who I feel would be an excellent complement to Charles and would be a great ST addition. (5th- URFA)

13. James 5'7'' 186 Florida - This is a player although undersized has all the tools to be great if he can add 20 lbs will be an excellent back at the next level. Is excellent in the return game and will get drafted for this reason. (5th - 7th rd)

14. Brown 5'11'' 200 Okl - Fast RB with average everything could develop into solid contributer. doesn't seem to have many moves simply takes what the defense gives him. Not great break tackle player. (5th - 7th rd)

15. Coker, 5'10'' 205 Hampton - Have not been able to find a whole lot on this guy other that his size and stats some talk about him. seems to have the package. A possible late rd gem at this point workouts will effect his stock considerably. (5th - UFRA)

16. Stafon Johnson, 5'11'' 216 USC - after the weight lifting accident leaves alot of ? but one is not his determination or love for the game. Workouts will play a big part in his stock as the draft aproaches. (4th - 7th)

17. Turner 6'1'' 225 TCU -a powerful down hill runner. Thats all I know about him. (5th - URFA)

18. Blount 6'1'' 240 Oregon - Suspended most of the year for the punch after witch the team apeared to get better withut him. is a big body with decent moves could make an impact or just be a cancer for the team that drafts him. expect someone to take a chance on this kid. (5th - 7th)

19. Charles Scott 5'11'' 234 LSU - A bigger back that I see as average in everything he does. A person most people have seen play and have their own opinion on but I see nothing in his game that jumps out at me for him to be anyting but a 3rd RB in the NFL. expected (4th - 5th) I see a 6th or 7th  rd talent.

20. Toston 6'0'' 214 Okl St - this is a player with some upside his consistancy leaves some ?s but overal skill set is there. Good feet, average break tackle, decent break away speed. solid agility. A late rd pick with solid #2 RB potential. (6th - 7th)

21. James 5'11'' 212 Mia - a player with great physical attributes but has never lived up to potential at the college level. No clue as to wether this kid will be anything more then a 3rd RB in the NFL. With natural ability could become a #1 rb option. (5th -7th)

22. Anderson 5'11'' 212 Tulane - A power back downhill runner I see as an average depth player in the NFL. Not alot to go on, have not seen much of him. stock could rise or fall during workouts. (5th - URFA)

23. Karim 5'9'' 205 Southern Illinois - This is a RB I see with alot of potential. Played in a smaller conferance but has shown good ability. fast, good moves a decent vision could be a late rd steal. (5th - URFA)

24. Dixon 6'1'' 202 UConn - I see him a just a decent all around back, solid depth. Nothing really stands out as strengths and no glarring weakness in his game either.(6th - 7th)

25. Starks 6'2'' 218 Buffalo - I believe he missed most or all of this year with an injury, but had been a very good RB throughout his carear will probably get a shot somewhere. odds of being drafted waver heavily on if he is able to work out for scouts. (5th - 7th)

Notable players I left out are Noel Devine, would be just ahead of Stafon Johnson. Demarco Murray, who would slot in behind Toston and Joe Mcknight who would be right ahead of Royster this year but would likely be in the top 3 of RBs next year. I feel all three of these RB would benefit greatly from returning for their senior year of college.

Arrowhead Pride A Look at the Prospects (pre workouts QB)

I am going to give a look at the prospects this year at every position one per day starting today with QB.

This is MY watch list and order I have players ranked. Will put where they are EXPECTED to go as far as rd.

1 Tim Tebow, 6'3'' 245, Florida - Doubters can say what they want but Tebow has proven he is a winner and will be succesful in the NFL. (mid 1st)

2 Dan Lefevour, 6'3'' 238, Cent Mich - My #2 ranked QB can do it all, has good arm strength and accuracy, (Great Stats), good athlete who can make plays with his legs. Has the ability to make plays when nothing is there or atleast get rid of the ball. (rd 2 - 4 )

3 Jimmy Clausen, 6'2'' 223, ND - A solid pocket QB with average NFL ability. Will be a first rd pick.

4 Hiller, 6'4'' 234, West Mich - Could be a steal in the draft or move up boards rapidly once workouts begin. Very Smart, Owns ALL of Western Michigans passing records. (4th - 7th rd unless workouts move him up)

5 Sam Bradford, 6'4'' 223, Okl - DURABILITY, I have only seen him get hit a few times and he could not handle it. (Croyle) (1st - 3rd rd.)

6 Colt McCoy  6'2'' 212, Tex - Avg Arm strength accurate passer, Good athlete. Average starter material or Drew Brees type is ?, (Late 1st - Mid 2nd)

7 Tony Pike, 6'6'' 226, Cincy - Good pocket passer ala Flacco with durability ?. falls because of that. (2nd-4th)

8. Perrilloux, 6'2'' 228, Jax St - At one point would of been 1st rd prospect, before the LSU incident. MAJOR upside could be a solid NFL starter maybe even great. Someone will take a chance on him in the later rds. (6th or 7th rd pick with first day ability)

9 Webb, 6'4'' 220, UAB - Only player in NCAA history at the top level to throw for 2,000 yds and rush for 1,000 yds in consecutive seasons. could be a late rd stud.

10 Armanti Edwards, 5'11'' 185, App St - Duel Position player, Undersized for the QB position, but has adequate skill, can also be used as WR/KR/PR or Wildcat/Situational QB. Will be an assett to whoever gets him.

11 John Skelton, 6'5'' 256, Fordham - ? Prototypical Size with good stats. (projected 4th-7th rd pick up).

The rest I see as carear backups or not in the NFL at all.

12 Crompton, 6'3'' 228, Tenn

13 Brown, 6'3'' 223, WV

14 Max Hall, 6'1'' 202, BYU

15. Stull, 6'3'' 215, Pitt

16. Canfield, 6'4'' 215, Ore St

17. Kafka, 6'3'' 220, Northwestern.

I know QB is not a need for us and with potential of Croyle being here as backup pretty high we are not in the market for a QB. I would still like input on this years QB class who is going to be good that sort of discussion. Wether you agree with my rankings more or some of the experts.

To me the most interesting positions will be WR, O-Line(OG/C), OLB, CB, and S. but lets keep this one focused on QBs.

Arrowhead Pride 3/4 breakdown - 4/3 breakdown. Which D is Better?

3/4 front 7 compared to 4/3 front seven what it takes to play there and what assignments go with it.

3/4

NT The single most important position in the 3/4.

must be super strong and big. Have ability to handle atleast the Center and one guard trying to push you around every play and not move without a 3rd player helping.

DEs Must be strong players who will draw a double team if the play is comming their way. Should also have ability to push the pocket in a bull pass rush.

My nock on the 3/4 even with a very good front three ILBs are still going to have to beat a G on most plays.

OLBs must have good pass rush skills to beat OTs, Also have to be able to stop screens and miss direction plays. It is hard to find players for this role. They also are responsible for not giving TE free release.

ILBs must be able to COVER and must be able to take on O-Line players and still make plays. Probably the hardest players to find period as they should have sideline to sideline speed and enough size to handle OGs.

4/3

DTs Have to be able to handle double teams and should have ability to bull rush the passer. Line up over the G and keep them from getting to the second level if you have a dominant DT someone who fits the mold of a NT the Center won't even be able to release to the second level.

DEs Should be good Pass rushers with ability to stop the run. Line up over the OT and keep them from releasing to the second level is also part of their job. giving the TE a shove and not allowing free release.

Played properly up front LBs do not have to fight off O-Lineman. That is why I like the 4 man front.

OLBs Have sideline to sideline speed ability to make sure tackles, have good coverage ability, will have the TE in man situations. Easier to find than 3/4 OLBs or ILBs.

MLB Is your playmaker sideline to sideline speed good coverage ability and be a sure tackler. Still easier to find than 3/4 ILBs Williams fits really good at any 4/3 position and no where in the 3/4.

LBs are more playmakers with good tackling ability with freedom to make plays and SIZE is not an issue for the most part as they are not taking on O-Lineman that makes me like the 4/3.

Looking at the fronts in these two Ds I would prefer the 4/3 as it should be easier to play consistant football in the 4/3. and easier to build a dominant 4/3 team than it is to build a dominant 3/4 team.

Looking at the Players already on our roster what our front could be for a 4/3 as we know what we have for the 3/4.

LE Hali,Magee,Vrabel DT Jackson,Edwards DT Dorsey,Magee,Gales RE Gillberry,Magee,Studebaker We would have many options here and running 4/3 Suh would be the #1 pick up as Jackson can play DE. or a backup. Yep I said it and think that is all he was really worth 4/3 DT or depth.

could use another dominant pass rusher but think Gillberry with his stats this year would be very good in a 4/3 at DE

LOLB, Williams,Mays  MLB Williams,DJ,Mays,(NEEDED) OLB DJ,Mays some say we need one I love DJ here myself.

Our LBs would be more effective in this line-up and we would need less in the draft with ALOT more options of who to get. could wait later to get them. or just McClain or Spikes in the first.

What changes for the secondary after the jump.

Arrowhead Pride Waters might retire what then?

Every one keeps talking about us moving Waters or what his role will be next year. In my opinion Waters has been healthy for most of his carear he really struggled staying healthy this year and had to depend on his toughness alot.I see the odds of Waters being done pretty high somewhere between 60 - 80% odds of him hanging it up.  With that being said we must assume the need to fill his post.

That line of thinking has actually had alot to do with my mock drafts. I have not put that into line-up changes but is VERY likely senario. With that thinking the Probability of moving Albert to Guard goes up quite a bit. so I do see us needing LT or LG since we all agree Albert would be Pro-Bowl quality Guard and an excellent replacment for Waters and the fact that this regime did not draft Albert as their LT it is a likely move.

With that we would need LT, C, RG, and possible upgrade at RT. That is why I am laying heavy on a 1st rd O-Lineman. also with the moves down in Florida the odds of Major Wright being available in the draft goes up alot and that would make this from a deep draft at S to a Very deep draft at S. We also brought in Langford who I think is a very good football player with starter potential and with Brown already on the roster even if he is just an average player now witch yesterday he played way above average the need for another safety is way down.

It also does not appear this staff would mind one bit taking a 15-20 ranked player in the top 5 if they think they fit the mold of the right 53. All that into consideration I find it less likely we would take Berry even if he is available. I see it more likely we take Spiller, Byant, Cody, OLB more than 1 option, McClain, or an OT. With Pioli background of building from the trenches I see most likely senario being OT or Cody in the first.

Also behind a good Line everyone looks better from top to bottom. Wether your talking O-Line or D-Line. I could see us going with Line additions with 3 of our first 4 picks easy. NT being one of them and O-Line being the other 3.

Something Like

1 Davis, Okung, Baluga,

2 Iupati, Black

2 Weisnewski, Walton,

3 Johnson ILB, Norwood OLB, or several other options

4 Powe, Troupe, Boo Robinson,

5 Brown, or other option at  RB

5 Riley Cooper or other WR

5 TE/LB/S/KR,PR depending on FA moves.

21. Den - O'Dowd, OL, USC

22. Dal - Allen, S, South Florida

29. SD - Austin, DT, NC

30. NO - Weaterspoon, OLB, MU

31. Indi - Alualu, DT, Cal

32. Minn - Stucky, S, KU

I will admit there are three places Iupati could go in the first fingers crossed he falls. The rest after the Jump.

Arrowhead Pride UFAs targets. Why. Mock Draft and Depth chart with moves.

1st Pickett at NT sure up our middle he looks to deffinatly be on the market. Huge importance will see why in mock draft scenario.

2nd Peppers OLB, He wants to play OLB in a 3/4 scheme and is a UFA so Get him here. do that by paying him and making these other moves. could be just wishful thinking such as Bart Scott last year.

3rd Dansby ILB We get a playmaker in the middle. With Hali and Peppers on the edge we now have one of the best LB cores in the league. also finished off later in the draft. (Also this move makes Williams trade material along with all 3, 5th rd picks, I think we can get a 2nd rd pick for that package an early 3rd even works) Will see the importance of this trade with mock draft..

4th TE Randy McMichael Is a solid starter and a player I really like would give us a solid TE core. Billy Miller is also an option that would upgrade our team. With Cottam ? it is a must.

5th  Chester Taylor solid player and good compliment to Charles. UFA who would quickly resign with Minn but they are probably going to draft a young guy and let Taylor go. Very good fit for us.

6th Antonio Bryant, This one might not happen but Bowe, Chambers, Bryant Gives us three good WRs and eliminates the need to draft one even though I love Tate. Urban is also an option to me he is still a ?. Bryant for sure fill the hole.

7th Kreider or Griffith. I see Kreider as a real option here gives us a good blocker who can help Cox improve his game.

#s 2, and 6 are not real likely due to $ but would give us a SB contending team. Explained after the Jump with Draft and then Depth Chart according.

Arrowhead Pride Cassel talk and roster breakdown.

What I'm saying is Matt Cassel has improved almost every week. With the O-Line starting to play better just look at last weeks stats. You take the drops out and our QB completes 31 of 40 passes that is an A grade no matter how you spin it. I see alot of promise out of Cassel. Enough to stop bashing him and start supporting him atleast until we have other pieces in place enough to get a real evaluation on what his potential is. You take the 50+ drops this year out and his stats look ALOT better, maybe not elite but acceptible none the less.

So looking at the roster and everything that has went on roster wise through the coarse of the season and I see the light and its getting closer.

Roster Breakdown after the jump.

Arrowhead Pride Armanti Edwards, Why I want him and what he could do for the Chiefs.

#1 Athletic ability comparable to Vick with some weight added. More like a Randel El right now.

#2 Over 70% completion rate through 4yrs of starting at App St,

#3 Would give us an excellent Wildcat option next year, while being the #2 QB

#4 Has the ability to line up at WR in the slot as a Deep threat, and trick play threat.

#5 Could turn into an Elite NFL QB with proper coaching, as he is a throw first QB.

#6 stems from #1 - 5. If Cassel is not the option he could be it. and would not be a wasted draft pick either way he would fill a need of this team has.

One other reason I have been saying for three years now that we really need to get this guy and we will be sorry if we don't. I have been a fan since his freshman year. His performance against Michigan was one of the best games I have seen from a college QB. He has carried his team ever since his Freshman year winning the National Championship in both his freshman and sophmore years, and has been to the simi finals every year. I just see this player as a can't miss prospect for the Chiefs as he could fill a FEW voids not just one.

He could also have the ability to be a great KR/PR guy so I really see him as a can do it all type offensive skill player.

What is your opinion of this?

I know this is short but I think it is worthy of a fan post instead of just a shot.

Arrowhead Pride Coaching staff and Cassel play against Pitt, Dall

People keep bringing up the way Cassel performed in these two games. They were his best two however we need to keep in mind that Haley knows more about those teams than any teams in the league next to Arizona maybe.

Watching those games what I see is two very good game plans where WRS were WIDE OPEN all day long. I give the coaches credit for making Cassel look decent in those games. In football the game plans are not going to be perfect MOST of the time and players have to make plays Cassel has not done that.

I'm also leaving an opening here to blame Haley for bad game plans in our other games. However I really don't believe that to be the case. What I see is in those two games there was a definate area of the defense to pick on and Cassels first reads were almost allways open in those games. Most game plans and plays you are going to have to read 2-4 players to get the ball to the right one. In the games where his first read is not open on most plays he is completly horrible and you canot expect a game plan with our roster to consistantly have our first look open.

If we had Moss and Welker maybe they would be open most of the time witch was the case last year in NE. However we do not and our QB MUST be able to process reads efficiantly witch Cassel does not do. Our QB must also have the ability to pull the defense away from the designed area of the play witch in my opinion Cassel consistantly leads the defense to the play. He does not pump fake or look off near enough when he has there has been some sucess, but he goes right back to no deception witch is equaling NO SUCCESS. 3 & outs.

I personally do not think the fix to this problem is on the roster. Yes we could play Croyle who does have a strong arm and usually gets rid of the ball quickly, but he overthrows alot of passes. Gutteirezz is not a starting QB. I would like to see a diff QB but I cannot really argue that we have someone better than Cassel on the roster. What I am saying is we NEED someone better. We paid him more than what he should get as he is a capable back up to fill in if the starter goes down.

Major holes to fill before we can win on a consistant basis. ILB a stud who can cover and take on blockers, NT dominant, A true franchise QB who can make good reads and has the arm to make all the throws. A power back with quick feet to compliment Charles. OLB who can rush the QB oposite of Hali, CB someone who can stop the slot WR and Big enough to cover TEs, A star Safety who can play both the pass and the run.

I would of said O-Line but honestly our O-Line has been playing good enough ball to win games. I could say WR but I want to see what we look like after Bowe returns first.

Yes it looks by that list that how can I say Cassel is the problem with all those holes. The answer is simple we could of easily won atleast three more games than we have if Matt Cassel had not lost them.

Yes Charles has some fumbles that hurt, Yes Wade and Bradley have had some bad drops, Long had some bad drops. None of those LOST the game for us, we still had a chance but consistant poor play from our QB kept it from happening. As with any team bad QB play will bring the entire teams level of play down period and I can say without a doubt the whole team is performing worse now than they were early in the season. the reason is obvious the level of EFFORT has dropped and the ONLY reason for that is no confidence in the team leader. Cassel is making the team worse.

Haley has not benched him therfore starting to make himself out to be a liar. You tell the team we are going to play the people who give us the best chance to win, well I said we may not have the answer on the team. If you keep your word and bench the unproductive player, whether the guy that comes in does the job better or not you show your team you mean what you say and that gaines respect. right now it (appears) we have a stuck up GM who thinks his shit don't stink. A head coach who is either being told to start Cassel or is just full of shit and doesn't mean what he says about starting the people who give us the best chance to win and really means I will start the puppets who listen to everything I say.

Arrowhead Pride About Cassel a few ? Aproval Poll.

Is Cassel in the top 20 in any catagory, as far as accuracy, arm strength, decision making?   NO

Is he consistantly on target with passes or off target with passes? Off Target

Has he had enough time to get rid off the ball? Just use last three weeks and answer is YES.

Was it atleast more fun watching Thigpen play last year? Absolutly he would try ANYTHING to lead us to victory.

Would Matt Cassel be more than a #3 QB on most teams?  NO

Anyway to get Orton and let McDanials have Cassel? Neither is my choice of QB but Orton > Cassel all day.

Are his WR bailing him out? No but I believe you can credit that to the opposite of the Brett Favre effect. Instead of WRs knowing they could have a chance they expect the opposite and are suprised when the ball does come out resulting in droped passes, stopping on routes, lazy routes.

Is the Defence losing faith in the offense? I believe so as it has shown the last few weeks the D starts out fast but as the offense struggles the Ds effort drops to.

Overall it goes to what Tony Romo said. A team with a Good to Elite QB ALWAYS has a chance to make the playoffs.

Is Cassel our WEAKEST LINK ?  I think so.

No our WR are not the best, but our O-Line has givin him plenty of time lately and he looks like crap. Early season Cassel was not throwing the ball everyone was saying atleast he doesn't turn it over. The coach finally put it on him to get rid of the ball the results off target passes and INTs.

Arrowhead Pride Coaching Staff Evaluation, who should stay and who should go.

For this post I looked into past history and what I've seen on the field this year as my referance to determining what I feel is best for the team.

Head Coach - Todd Haley, I wanted him and think he is right man for the job.

Assistant Head Coach -  Maurice Carthon, Very good RB coach and I really like him stay with same label.

Offensive Cordinator - Needed Haley should bring in another assistant or Charlie Weis to take over.

Defensive Cordinator - Clancy Pendergast, secondary and DC, FAIL at both NEEDS to go. Crennel first choice.

Defensive Assistant - Ronnie Bradford, a positive could move to DB coach.

Special Teams - Hoffman, Excellent coach will stay.

Offensive Line - Bill Muir, good O-Line coach should stay.

Assistant O-Line - D'Alessandris, a positive good O-Line coach.  Up to Haley and Pioli if both Muir and D'Alessandris stay.

Defensive Line - Krumrie, could go either way I personally like him and think he should stay.

QB Coach - could be brought in to take some weight off Haley.

HB - Carthon controls this area well no need to bring in someone.

WR Coach - Dedric Ward,  should stay.

Tight Ends - Bob Bicknell, Average coach very possible to upgrade.

LB Coach - Gary Gibbs, is a good LB coach. Could stay, could go either way.

Strenth and Conditioning - Cedric Smith, good S&C coach.

Assistant S&C - Salazar good results this year no opinion other than the team looks conditioned well.

Defensive Quality Control - Pat Perles, decent coach seems more acclimated to Offense than Defence though.

Offensive Quality Control - Nick Sirianni, ? ? ? I don't know could go could stay.

That is what I see. I feel we should bring in an OC, a DC, and a QB coach.

possibly bring in TE, and DB coach as well.

I want to know how the rest of AP feels about our Coaching Staff. What changes need to be made?

Arrowhead Pride A Walk Through The Team

From start to finish grades and holes.

QB

Matt Cassel, Starting to improve play and look decent for the future

Croyle should be maintained as the #2 QB

HB

Charles is deserving of the #1 RB job and should stay

#2 RB a hole we need a solid Power Back with quick feet.

Smith or Savage fill the mop up roll.

FB

Cox has been very average could be upgraded

Castille not sure yet but made a couple good plays in game one as a Chief.

WR

Bowe has shown improvment but could be a true #2 WR not #1

Chambers has shown that he still has it and gives us viable 1/2 punch at WR for a couple more years.

Long has shown enough to be #4 WR next year.

Wade seems to be the #5 guy that can do it all in a crunch.

We need the electric #3 WR/KR/PR (Golden Tate would be the Best choice for that role for now and could be a #1 WR in the future ala Steve Smith.

TE

Pope has started to show some things and I think he is Average

We need the #1 Stud TE Could be filled via FA or through the draft alot of talent at that position this year in the draft.

#3 TE one of the players on the roster works here.

LT Albert starting to improve still see eventual move to Gaurd.

LG Waters has one or two years left

C Niswanger or Rookie brought in through the draft not much there otherwise

RG Alleman Upgrade needed would love to Lupita at that spot or move Waters over to help rookie at RT

RT O'Call Has been decent but slow several times to get out on screen help. could be upgraded by Fox out of Mia

So on offense We bring in 3 O-Lineman to compete for starting jobs, get a WR, a TE, and a short yardage back.

LE

Jackson Gillbery good for years

NT Edwards solid but getting older, NEEDED rotational NT

RE

Dorsey Magee good for years

LOLB

Studebaker, Vrabel could use one for depth but good for one more year this way

LILB if we can keep things as is it looks good for next year with Williams and DJ rotating

RILB Same with Mays and Belcher witch it could easily be Belcher and Mays together starting and that would work.

ROLB

Hali is the man #97 played good enough last week to think we don't need much here.

CB Carr and Flowers are the starters and solid but we have been getting torched by slot WR all year so we need a 3rd starter quality CB through the draft or FA.

FS Brown average NEED upgrade many options here and good ones.

SS Page Morgan have not shown me star power upgrade needed.

So on D we need one NT, CB, FS, SS

All together that is 10 players

 C

 RG

 RT

 RB

 WR

 TE

 NT

 CB

 FS

 SS

WE have in the draft the ability to fill 4 possibly 5 starting possitions.

Must haves due to avail talent FS, SS, WR, NT

rd1 Mays FS

rd2 Tate WR

rd2 Rolle SS

rd3 Torrell Troupe NT

Use the rest of the draft to better depth and comp at spots but that is my final wishlist best case senario.

rd4 J.D Walton or Estes at C

rd5 through 6 best player avail at positions needing comp. We could get our TE rd 5 Epps, Quarless, Moeati some good ones should be on he board. There should also be some decent RBs fall this far as well.

With three 5th rd picks I see us going TE OLB and RB in hte 5th.

6th rd will be best player available.

After alot of research I think we will do as much as possible to build the O-Line in FA and not so much in this years draft. I expect three or four FA O-Lineman to be brought in and one big name/solidified starter such as Mankins who I don't think will be avail or Baas to come in.

Arrowhead Pride Draft Question

I've been looking over all the mock drafts I can find. To me if we can't get Berry, Okung or Suh we should trade down in the draft for an extra pick as the players on my wish list will still be around in the 20s. With alot of talent left in the 3rd/4th rds I think the extra pick would be very valuable and the later pick, unless we can get one of those players, will not hurt us.

We can use as many talented players as possible. That to me would be the best case I can see us easily filling all these spots through the draft. OT, WR, KR/PR, NT, OLB, C, S,

I also would like to see Waters traded at the end of the year, for a draft pick. I love Waters but we need to get better and Albert fits in his spot best. I would not want Waters to try changing positions. Maybe a Waters for Center trade.

Biggest needs for next season starting KR/PR, OT, C, TE,OLB. Some other areas need depth added and comp. That said my first pick would definatly be Suh if available, Berry if Suh is gone, and Okung if both Suh and Berry are off the board.

This poll will test if we want BPA or best pick for our needs.

Arrowhead Pride Charles showing up. Coaches and Players improving.

I have been saying it for awhile. Finally we have are RB who is still averaging over five yards per carry and not on plays that are 3rd and 15. Charles in alot of ways resembles Chriss Johnson. Charles showed off his speed on several plays.  Charles has shown promise on KR but after Sunday its aparant we need him fresh to carry the load. We have got to get someone else in there. I am still waiting to see Lance Long get a chance.

The O-line showed that they are average and not as horrible as LJ the WRs have made them look. With the addition of Charles to the starting rotation, Chambers, Lance Long and Pope the O showed some life.

I saw better play all the way around Sunday. We were better in every phase of the game. 3rd down was still terrible and still to long consistantly. Cassel actually had some good plays and nice touch passes to go along with his bad ones. He had his best game. Showed a GLIMPS of light at the end of the tunnel.

Chambers for the second week in a row made me happy he is here. It looks to me like he is making Bowe pick it up alittle as well so THANK YOU to Chriss Chambers! Lance Long does his job is looking good and Bradley had a decent game again but had a bad drop. Pope had a penalty or two but gave us an actual blocker at TE Sunday and is a player that is making us better.

The play calling on both sides of the ball was improved Sunday but could be better. Overall I was satisfied with the way the game was managed. There were a couple plays the players missed that would of made it look alot better.

On D we had are best game. It was not tight in the secondary all day and we still gave up a big play in the run game, but our Rookies showed major strides. Our NTs both had a pretty good game. The LBs had the best performance of the year so far.

Arrowhead Pride Why Piolli did not keep Herm as Head Coach this year

Piolli wanted Cassel and Vrabel. Herm did not, Herm was on a youth movement that he stayed true to.
Herm wanted to draft the best LB available in the first and then improve the O-Line. He also wanted Nate Davis at QB.

That was just the begining. See the differance.

Yea I know I would of been MUCH Happier if Herm had controlled the draft. I also really doubt he would of let Piolli trade Gonzo.

Just one more reason I think Pioli made a mistake in letting Herm go. He admitted that he did not know what our players had to offer, I think Herm did for sure. Second he did not know what moves were going to be the best for the Chiefs in 09.

Instead he wants to start a new 3 yr buiding exp. Doesn't he know we were on year two of a three year building plan.

I don't know about the rest of you but if it takes more than this offseason to make us competitive I want him gone.

Although I think with the release of Pollard and the decision to get Cassel and everyone saying we will have to live with Cassel next year he haas already set us BACK two seasons.

I really did not think I would say this but maybe Herms record really did fall mostly on the lack of a built Offense and the cordinating of Gun on  D. It was definatly time for Gunther to go, But my feelings on the rest.

Gailey > Haley as an O Cordinator

Gun who wasn't the answer > Pendergast and Gibbs

So just my opinion when Carl BAILED on Herm I wanted him to move in as GM witch I think he would be great at. His problem as a Coach was clock managment witch he worked hard to fix but never really got there, however I love the players he brought to KC including Pollard and Tank Tyler.

Piolli has made NO moves I thought were great and most of them I strongly think to be mistakes.

Lets see what moves he made right Succop. Mays maybe the URFAs witch I think most credit for those go to Haley. After that I don't like most of them expecially the Cassel Vrabel trade witch I think was horrible I've herd all the dissaproval of that but its my opinion and all I can say to those people is will see what you think when next year is half over.

The few POSSIBLE good moves Chambers, might be good for the team Ndukwe and Alleman trade will atleast add depth where its needed. Lance Long but that credit goes to Haley.

Again I add they have done alittle to help and alot I think set us back.

Arrowhead Pride The 10 Biggest Problems with 2009 and the 10 most important moves for succesful 2010

 1. We should have stuck with the 4/3 for one more year all the pieces for Herms D were in place.

2. Tyson Jackson although Ideal for the 3/4 would of fit inside or out in the 4/3 for one year or drafted LB instead.

3.Our LBs were a better fit and we would not of had a need for to slow Vrabel (my opinion only)

4. Cassel was a terrible move.

5. Cutting Pollard was a horrible move and coming back to haunt the team.

6. If we still had Gonzo that speaks for itself he is still the best TE in football.

7. That second round pick could of got us a REALLY good LB or O-Lineman

8. LJ should have been dealt before the season for a 6th or 7th rd pick

9. Getting Pendergast and Gibbs to run the D (I hope they are both gone before 2010)

10. Haley taking over as Offensive Coordinator

After all that Pioli has a lot to prove.

10 moves that must be made for success in 2010

1. We must get a Center

2. Cassel needs to go (for people who actually think he can be good atleast bring in comp)

3. A #1 TE

4. LT needed Albert to LG where he will excel

5. Waters hopefully can get us a 5th rd pick if not take a 6th for him.

7. A starting RG

8. A starting safety

9. Get a good O coordinator

10. Bring in diff D coordinator

Our roster should go something like this without naming the draft picks

QB. FA / Cassel / Rookie

HB Charles Savage Williams

FB Cox/ FA

WR Bowe Chambers Long Wade Rookie KR/PR

TE. FA or Rookie, Pope, Ryan- preferred Ben Watson

LT Rookie

LG Albert

C Rookie

RG FA, Ndukwe or rookie

RT O'Callaghan, Brown, Richardson

LE Dorsey

NT FA / Rookie, Edwards-  prefer Wilfork, Suh or Cody

RE Jackson

LOLB Hali

LILB DJ but something tells me he won't be here so Williams

RILB Belcher

ROLB FA or Rookie- Preferred DANSBY

CB Flowers Carr Washington Leggett

FS Rookie (Berry PLEASE)

SS Page Brown or FA

Will start to look at Mock drafts after this week to see what players could fill the wholes post next week.

Arrowhead Pride Broken Promises

We were promised by our coaching staff that payroll would play NO effect on who was starting. Yet look through the PAYROLL and you have are starters except DJ who is DINGED up.

However its week after week 5, 0-5 record with obvious lack of production from certain HIGH paid additions.

Goff came out for one series our blocking was better with Alleman on that drive yet in comes Goff for OT DUMB.

Albert I really like however Cassel had more time in the pocket after Wade Smith came in. New observation tells me in no terms is Albert better off at OT as to OG where his abilities are a better fit.

What is obvious Charles and Savage have been our most effective backs yet LJ still starts. Battle has done nothing yet has been moved ahead of Savage on the depth chart. DUMB

Goff is totally unproductivev

Arrowhead Pride Take Haley for what he said

I have been doing alot of complaining about the moves we made. (past)

Since I do believe in Haley as are head coach from this point on its about the now and what we can do with the team we have.

I have not seen a good game out of Cassel yet but if Haley thinks he is the man for the job. (I WILL BE PATIANT)

So the O-Line is our weakness what can we do about it. O,Callagahn looked pretty good with the exeption of wiffing on one screen play he played a good game.

That frees up Ndukwe to move inside where he is a better fit. Goff is getting old and by no means has looked like a dominant player. Ndukwe is pretty young and is a good RG. I would like to see the move.

LT Albert LG Waters C Niswanger RG Ndukwe RT O,Callagahn could be a solid front.

TE Pope and Ryan offer at worst an average 1-2 at TE. could be good.

With that being said and already talking about how much I like our WRs with time to GEL we can be solid

The biggest issue to me is Jackie Battle appears to be nothing more than a waste of roster space. It is pretty obvious watching the games that LJ is #1 Savage and Charles should be in a dog fight for the #2 spot and that is our RBs no room for Battle he is not worth the spot.

As far as the Defense goes I have seen improvment in LB core although it is not good enough yet the ability is.

The D-Line is getting better mostly the play of Dorsey has improved still waiting on Jackson to show me some more.  I Love Tank but he needs to step it up Edwards aswell.

I also think we need to find out who are starters are at ILB and stick with them. Hopefully DJ getting healthy will improve the rotation as I believe we need Williams and Johnson on the field in passing situations and Mays should be used mostly on known running situations. Belcher has shown that he has the ability just needs more time to get comfortable with the speed of the game.

I will back track alitlle on what I said about Vrabel and say If Mays or someone else at LB can get everyone in the right place than Maybe get Mays on the Edge in passing situations for his speed and ability to rush the passer.

I loved the new nickel package as was pointed out on the Chiefs web page as McGraw was able to make a couple plays.

Thainking of all this I'm looking forward to a very competitive game on Sunday.

Lets get a Win!!!!

Arrowhead Pride Players I LOVE as Chiefs

Flowers is one of the best there is and could be the best corner in the NFL

Carr very solid totally reminds me of James Hasty

D-Bowe he is a machine

DJ has not been overwhelmingly good but has been solid.

LJ this season has pulled me back on his boat.

Dorsey has shown enough so far that I believe.

Bradley has made the most of his chances and have been a fan since college days.

Tank Tyler I really like him excellent player.

Page he is a really good safety.

Brown although I did not like the Pollard move Brown is just as good if not better at this point.

Albert he is a very solid O-Lineman

Waters carear speaks for it self

Savage needs more playing time.

Bobby Wade excellent pick up been a fan for awhile.

Pope at TE finally someone worthy Ryan has been average.

Cox I really like him at FB

Jackson although I think it was the wrong move he will be a good player for us for along time to come.

Leggett excellent nickel back

Hali he is a STUD

Williams LB he is solid

Succop amazing kicker

Coulquit Best punter in the league

Thats my list

Players that could be added by performing

Lawrence, Mays, Belcher, Washington, Brodie Crumbles as I started that name, but he finally looks strong enough to take a hit. Charles loved him in college but he has been MAJOR dissapointment so far. Any other O-Lineman that can prove worthy. Magee if he gets more PT.

So obviosly I am just upset with moves made so far in offseason and the draft although some players will be good.

Arrowhead Pride  Allen

My FAVORITE DE EVER man how we let him go I would gladly give up a 1st 2nd and 3rd just to get him back. I still get sick watching Viking games puked 4 1/2 times tonight, and pissed on the only photo of Peterson I have.

Favre looked great. Passes on target hitting WRs in stride. Percy Harvin had another steller game and Loadholt did his fare share in giving Favre ALL DAY to complete passes.

Aaron Rodgers showed that a QB can still put up numbers even if he is starring at the sky or top of the dome after every play, and Clay Mathews looked really good.

I think I will have to focus on Minn this year so I can have some satisfaction and watch the Chiefs and HOPE for the best each week without being completly distroyed every Monday.

The Vikings might get me through the year. Now they have my Favorite current players at QB,RT 2nd Favorite WR Harvin. DE and the second best hitting corner in the league in Winfield. Viking games are FUN to watch.

MINNESOTA for the SUPER BOWL .
