Schefter update has Chiefs one of five that could claim Moss

3

Five teams that could claim WR Randy Moss once he is waived: 1) Rams; 2) Raiders; 3) Redskins; 4) Seahawks; 5) Chiefs. If no claim, Pats.

Chiefs early 2.5 point dogs @ Oakland

11

I hope everyone realizes how tough it will be this week. Raiders have won their last two by a combined 92-17. We can win, but it's going to be a battle.

McCluster, Lilja still aren't full participants in Thursday Morning's practice

5

According to Babb... Chiefs wide receiver Dexter McCluster and right guard Ryan Lilja didn't appear to be full participants in Thursday morning's practice.

Chiefs Open as 1 point dogs at LV Hilton

2

Hilton is traditionally the first to release lines. This surprises me, I predicted last night after the game we'd be 1-2 point favorites. Will be interesting what the game last night does psychologically to the Niners. Some teams would come out foaming at the mouth, desperate for a win after starting 0-2 and losing like they did, others would pack it in this week and be deflated after a game PK said Singletary was 'treating like the SB.' We'll see, but I like the Chiefs, getting a point at Home vs. an NFC West team, traveling across country, coming off a short week.

Royals sign Draft picks Eibner and Adam

66

According to Callis' twitter... #Royals sign 2nd-rder Brett Eibner for $1.25 million, 5th-rder Jason Adam for $800,000. Good news! And now a Royals press release.

FBO: 2010 Organizational Rankings Based on under-25 talent, the Texans, Panthers and Chiefs shine

Ok, so it's insider protected...but I'm not posting the whole article?? If this is too much, go ahead and delete. I know you guys without access to it would be happy to see it. It's on the front page of espn.com right now. "3. Kansas City Chiefs- The secret isn't out yet in Kansas City, but it's about to be -- the Chiefs have one of the best developing cores of talent in the game. They're deepest in the secondary, where fifth-overall pick Eric Berry will play safety behind a strong young tandem of cornerbacks: Brandon Carr and Brandon Flowers. They will be joined by a fourth young starter, but incumbent Jarrad Page has requested a trade, which makes it likely that fifth-round pick Kendrick Lewis will start instead. Even nickelback Javier Arenas is a 22-year-old rookie. The front three features 2009 first-rounder Tyson Jackson and 2008 first-rounder Glenn Dorsey, though Dorsey has struggled to live up to the hype that surrounded him before the draft. The Chiefs also have an underrated group of developing players on offense, led by breakout star Jamaal Charles, who was the best running back in football during the second half of the 2009 season. Dwayne Bowe, for all his off-field antics, has shown a decent amount of promise despite playing alongside a litany of middling quarterbacks. He could be joined by 21-year-old Dexter McCluster, who will play the slot as a rookie after converting from running back during the offseason. Left tackle Branden Albert is a serviceable starter at worst, and third-round guard Jon Asamoah is likely to start in 2011. If Kansas City suddenly emerges in the league this year, guys like Charles, Carr, and Berry are going to be household names."

'can't say that I've physically seen Henderson today'

Looney: can't say that I've physically seen Henderson today other than on youtube RT @jcrowe_chiefs: @joshlooney did John Henderson make to kc today

No Adalius Thomas to KC

17

According to Michael Smith: I'm pretty sure you can cross Kansas City off the list of potential Adalius Thomas suitors. (Can't believe how much I'm tweeting about him!)

Tebow to Broncos, enough to make me cry...

2

Real tears...of HAPPINESS!! Make it happen, McDaniels!! Oh, please, please, please! Not sure I could imagine a scenario better than the team I hate most, getting one of the players I hate most.

Cleveland still trying to move up to #1

2

From MrMichael_Smith: Mike Holmgren just told me he's calling the Rams one last time about #1. Willing to deal most of 2010 picks, pick(s) in 2011.

Updated CBS Sportsline Mock's

Zack's rotation schedule

Question: Has anyone seen a projected rotation for the first week of the season? Mainly, wondering if Trey is going to let Zack pitch every 5 days this year, or have him pitch in his rotation...

T-Rich resigns with Jets

Pioli, Weis, enjoyed some Bon Jovi at Sprint Center tonight

I've heard that Haley was down there too, but I can't confirm this. Someone else probably can. What I really want to know is where was Ryan Lilja? Hopefully he was there and will be out late...

Peter King dropping bombs on Twitter tonight...

1

That link will get you to all his comments, but the biggest for Chiefs fans is here. Money quote: "And KC would never take S that high." Speaking of the #5 pick. So...PK is going against most of AP, and many of the mock drafts out there... Among other nuggets he feels like if Suh is there at #2 the Lions 'absolutely' have to take him. He also feel the Skins are the most legit trade partner with the Lions if Bradford is available...

Looney: Primetime games for Chiefs?

21

Saw the MoLegg post, and wanted to share this, as I'm sure it's what he was referring to.

Andra Davis to visit Buffalo Mon & Tues

4

Would really like to see him in KC Wed, then...

Lilja visiting Monday!

+

Wow, Pioli's on a roll.

Redskins reached agreement with RB Larry Johnson on a three-year deal.

+

The Chiefs contacted OL Casey Wiegmann this morning.

71

Says 810 WHB's Jake Gutierrez.

Browns sign Benjamin Watson

8

Not going to lie, this one bothers me a little. I know that Pioli is trying to shop at the discount rack, and doesn't want to get into bidding wars for quality FA's, but at some point, that's just what we need to do. Watson is familiar with the Weis offense, and would have filled a major hole (per Pioli's mouth). Anyway, I'll be anxious to see how they fill that hole, I really hope it's with a FA, I don't want to waste an early draft pick on a TE when we have so many other important needs.

Broncos cut Andra Davis

Upgrade over Mays, DeMorrio at 3-4 ILB?

Colts have signed free agent G Andy Alleman

4

Lilja failed Colts physical

19

According to Adam Caplan: NFL Reporter, Host-Sirius NFL Radio, profootball.scout.com, he did. If this is old news to you guys, sorry. I just saw it. Not saying we shouldn't snag him, but something else to consider.

Report: Tebow below average on Wonderlic test

7

Further evidence...that I'm a Tebow hater. Hey, I'm not going to deny it. And yes, I realize this has (hopefully) nothing to do with the Chiefs.

LJ's visiting the Redskins!

8

Match made in heaven. "Filed to ESPN: Redskins are scheduled to host a visit Thursday with former Chiefs and Bengals running back Larry Johnson."

Broncos got Jamal Williams

2

Kind of hurts...

Chiefs signed Jones!!
