Sorry, that should be it also affects the cap in terms of dead money.

This is true, but...these are your franchise players. Medical technology has come a long way. We just paid Percy Harvin what, 10 million dollars for 30 snaps and 3 kickoff returns?

As I understand it, guarenteed money is paid regardless of injury. Non-guarenteed money is not.

Pryor wanted to start in Oakland. He aint gonna get to a chance to start anywhere else if he can't start in Oakland. Maybe the brass can convince him if he wants to stay in the league he's going to have to play wideout or Tight end, or hes going to be

Thats interesting as well because Eric Berry is getting 10 mil a year on average.

Yes average cap hit.

I got a thought, and was wondering what you all think about it.
Commented on Seahawks "have made considerable progress" on Richard Sherman contract on Apr 22 2014, 3:14p - 2 replies
Honestly I'm not expecting Thomas to get a HUGE raise, consider what he already makes. His cap hit will probably rise 2-3 million or so, but I don't think it will double.

Ya, how is it Sherman is getting paid more than Wilson again?

Otherwise unable to keep? The only way you couldn't keep him is if he REALLY didn't want to sign with your club and money meant nothing to him.

The franchise tag might be the worst thing you could possibly use in negotiations with a player.

No offense, but these salary cap projections are usually WAY off.

I think Scruggs and Mayowa are both going to make the roster and both have an impact this year.

Thats kinda my thoughts. They drafted him as a right tackle, and although he had flashes of good play, he was far from dominant.
Commented on James Carpenter and the Option Play on Apr 22 2014, 2:54p
You might be right. I was taking numbers off the NFL.com website which had an article about a bunch of the 2011 draft class extensions coming up.

Ok, so what are the chances he resigns with Seattle at say 2 mil a year or so?

If he can take a hand off, or catch a screen pass, our offense suddenly just got real scary.

Kinda looks like our receiver corps over the last 5 years. Most of the key contributors are UDFA's or FA's.

You don't think the fact that the rams defense was on the field so much has anything to do with the fact Long and Quinn got so many oppurtunities do you?

Generally 3 years or so. Its a much more complicated position than alot of people think.

Jared Smith was another DT-OL prospect, ala the J.R. Sweezy mold to be fair. And Bruce Irvin was never really drafted to play DE, but the LEO/OLB position, so not sure if that should count.

I was being facitious about spending our entire stable of picks on the O-line. But I do think we should take one above the seventh round this year.

I think we take an offensive lineman, consider we had 2 starters out of 5 lost to free agency, and the third spot is kinda iffy at best.

Its never to early to take a punter or a kicker! Al Davis proved that!

Knowing our FO, they probably offered him a one year, 2-3 million deal so he can see what the market is like next year, kinda like Bennett. Except I think they always wanted Bennett to stay, and I doubt they value Clark as more than backup material.
