Mike Pelfrey revisited
I apologize if this subject was visited recently and I missed it. I'm just curious what the general consensus is on Mr. Pelfrey. 2008 he goes 13-11 with a 3.73era and 1.36whip through 200.2 inn. A good 110k/64bb ratio. This year the K's and BB's are both up a bit but he's giving up way more hits and runs and has a 5.08era and an awful 1.52whip. I have him in my keeper league and I have him for 6 dollars for the next two years if I so wish. With his 2008 season I am tempted to use one of my 15 valuable keeper spots. So is he just having a sophomore slump and will bounce back next year or is he just not good... Perhaps its the Mets awful luck this year that has sapped his desire. It'd be hard to be motivated on that team this year... Anyways if all of you well eduacted people would give me your opinion that would be great!!
Thanks.

Russell Martin
Hello, I just joined True Blue. Contrary to my screen name I am actually a (blech) Indians fan. Big Dodgers fan though due to all of the exciting youngsters. Rooting for them to take it this year. I'm in a fantasy keeper league and am currently contemplating a trade for Russell Martin for Hunter Pence/Rod Barajas. I basically want to move Martin for salary reasons and will not be able to keep him for next season. Pence and Barajas are both affordable but doubt I will keep them for next year. Basically I'd want Pence to help me out with average/homers. So my question for you Dodger scholars is "Will Russell Martin start hitting?" He's heated up a bit but really... whats wrong?
Thanks and appreciate the input.

Help prove Yahoo wrong
Yahoo has plastered on their front page this article http://www.yahoo.com/s/1070695 It says that Randy Johnson 6'10" vs Daniel Cabrera 6'9" is the tallest pitching matchup in the history of baseball. I thought about it a little bit and suddenly remember another tall pitcher in the NL. Chris Young for the Padres. He is listed at 6'10". However I can't find a site anywhere that shows me pitching matchups over the last couple years. They were in the same division the last 2-3 years and it seems to me they should have met at some point. I'm guessing Yahoo is right but I would love to prove them wrong....

Clayton Kershaw big year?
So far this year in 2 starts. 12inn 19k 5bbi 3ha 1.50era 0.67whip.(no desicions yet though) I remember reading earlier this year (maybe on this site) that Kershaw could be poised for a Tim Lincecum type breakout this year. I realize this is only two starts into the season but man did he look filthy his last start.
When I read about the Lincecum type breakout I thought wow that would be awesome. His next start is Monday night against the Astros. Does he keep on dominating? What kind of a season do you think he is gonna have?
Is this the year Kershaw makes himself a household name? Can you see 2k10 with him on the cover?
By the way I hate 2k baseball games but love the last cover with Lincecum on it...COME BACK TO THE BASEBALL SIDE EA SPORTS!!!

Nick Adenhart tribute
I am a big fan of basebal mogul and play it often. I was playing last night and was in the year 2028. I decided to see what kind of numbers Nick Adenhart had put up for his career. I decided to post this in honor of what Nick Adenhart could have been. May God Bless his family, friends, and the Angels organization.

This is just what Baseball Mogul had him do. I did not have the Angels as my team nor did I ever look at Nick Adenhart while I played. Overall I think he had a solid career. Sort of fizzled out quickly after age 35. He had 5 All-Star years. 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021. 2 Cy Young awards 2015, 2019. Unfortunately the Angels never won the world series while he pitched with them. The best they did was win the ALDS in 2011, 2017, 2018, 2019.

A-Rod admits and apologizes
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-rodriguez-steroids&prov=ap&type=lgns
A-Rod may have let down alot of his fans but at least he is more of a man than most. I must say when I found out I was very disapointed. I always though maybe just maybe A-Rod is a pure baseball player. The fact that he can face the media and his fans and say yes I took steriods and I regret my decisions goes a long way in my opinion. Maybe it wasn't his decision (lawyers, agents, Yankees management) but either way I think this is better than how some other players have taken steroid accusations. aka bonds, palmerio, clemens.

CC To Yankees
I am seeing stuff all over the internet that the Yanks are finalizing their monster deal with CC. Is this true? I am assuming it is and I think it is for 7 years.... wow....

Vote on awards-AL Cy Young
Ok, so I keep seeing everyone arguing about if CC should win a Cy Young and if Manny should be considered for MVP. Lets vote on a few of these issues... this is how it should be anyways, true baseball fans voting for the awards.... Since I can't put more than one poll in this post (at least I don't think I can) I will just put out 4 seperate posts (hope I don't tick everyone off). I'm really curious to see how the voting goes.
Thanks.
