Who have you gotten to meet that knocked you on your ass? I met Steve Earle today.

Pictures later on MC. Holy hell. He was so good to my son and I, and even signed my dear aging mother's Mother's Day card. My son is goddamned lucky - between my music and basevall friends, we're having lunch with Churhill, Drayer, most of Alice In Chains, PJ, or now Steve Earle. No one is going to believe my child when he is older.

Here it is. Been a while. Nothing going on right now. No hispanic people playing baseball, no new aquisitions, no news from Jesse Jones, and nothing going on with Seattle College basketball. It's all really too bad. I wish there was more to report, but it looks like it's going to be Iran and Jerusalem in the championship game of the WBC. I certainly hope this "RAD Jihaad" is all it's purported to be.

2/20/09 OFFTOP Frank Thomas is looking for a job edition

I really haven't cared enough to post this, but tomorrow night may well be the very last show I play with my current band. Not necessarily shocking, as I went on hiatus for two years to help my wife overcome breast cancer, but I guess it holds some importance after all. I'd love for you guys to make it, if you can. IT'S LATE. We headline, so we go on at 12:00 AM. Even if you can't stay that late, I'll be there at around 8:00 or 8:30 if you want to hang out for some drinkies.

Anyway, Frank Thomas can't figure out why he can't get a job. I'd personally love him as a platoon DH (you guys are probably going to murder me for saying that), but I'm sure he wants to play every day, which MUST make him unattractive to, well, everyone. I remember being a huge fan of his. Too bad he seems to be fading away slowly like no big-time player ever should. Thoughts?

I met a great amount of LL people tonight, and I'll tell you, they were all more attractive than Jeff, Graham, and Mathew combined. We had a great night of bowling and drinking, and drinking, and drin-wait--- was that just me??

To all there, you were gracious and awesome. What a great night. Here's to putting my shirt into a bra-like status in order to get a strike. And fuck you all. Tomorrow is going to suck. The great part about this off-top?? I won't even be around to see it until late tomorrow.

And royalcurve made those goddamned tatertots with bacon. Holy mackerel, they were tasty.

So MC is having an informal meet ant greet. I'm posting info below, as we'd love to have a few crossover members attend, as well as some people I've grown fond of having been on your site for a while now.

We're meeting at the game on the 26th of September (FEAR NOT-- IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE GAME, WE ARE ALSO PLANNING TO MEET BEFORE OR AFTER - I WILL UPDATE AS WE GET MORE PUBLIC INFO). There will be a handful of us at the game, but I would love to have some regular posters here come by as well. I'm seriously not pandering for hits - I don't even own the site anymore. I'm just wondering what your collective thoughts on it are. Have you visited it? Do you love or hate it? I know a few members of my old site have been banned from this site - I find our sites MUCH different. Some dick named "Gomez" has put up some great shit on our site. A few other names I recognize here have done the same. I love coming over here and speaking my abstract mind without reprehension, but what do y'all (my wife is from South Carolina, I can say that, MFers) think about the site I house after SportSpot.net ended?

Again, not an advertisement for a site I no longer own, just a question of thoughts...
