Just wondering everybody's thoughts on how many rushing yards we give up and what it takes to win. Without the rush, Robinson just can't keep up with what our offense could do

I'm thinking around 170.

I expect to give up more than our average, but that doesn't mean it won't be a success.

Also, anybody know of any bad blood between Leach and Gundy. I know their tirades last year were unrelated, but does anything else exist?

I hate watching this 'election' thing with all the called states and crap. Sure, they have exit polls and stuff, but when a state has less than 1% of precincts reporting and they call one state for a guy who is losing early 80-20, then I just feel like they are telling me whatever they want. Yeah, they are pretty accurate, when a score goes along the bottomline on ESPN, that's EXACTLY what the score is. nobody hands out hardware until the season is over. That's why we play the games. the most recent BCS standings look NOTHING like the preseason polls. whatever...

Wreck 'em

Ok, so everyone is talking about how hard it will be for tech to run the gauntlet. But what most UT fans and others I've read from don't realize is...

Although we play four games in a row against ranked opponents...

IT'S NOT FOUR WEEKS IN A ROW

we get by OSU and then we get a bye to week to get our fresh legs back, UT didn't have that luxury. we will have more than enough time to get mentally and physically prepared for OU. Our first bye week sure did seem to prepare us beautifully for KSU. Of course, once Texas fans realize this, they will probably start arguing that our stretch was even easier than theirs after switching MIzzou for KU, where they still get to play. Players are asked every week to get prepared for whatever opponent.
And anyways, when did college players start being expected to be more tired after a stretch like that than before...does everyone just assume that the players aren't trying that hard against inferior opponents? Likely...but after watching the last 5 weeks of Big XII ball, our effort just has not seemed to waver. Thank goodness for so much depth up front on the DLine.

Bruce Feldman has consistently given Tech little respect in his bowl projections. Even after the way we showed UT and the nation that we can win it all, he still has us projected to go the Holiday Bowl, behind OU, UT, and Mizzou(!?!) and playing Arizona. A JOKE of a bowl match up. I realize it's not going to be an easy road the next few weeks, but even in a 2-loss scenario, the cotton bowl would surely have us instead of Mizzou. Granted, these projections are ridiculous to worry about, I'm just amazed that he just will not give us what we have finally earned, the hard way.

Otherwise, Mark Schlabach seemed to have like the performance we put on last night.

check it... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowlprojection?season=2008&week=10
