1993 World Series Phlashback

Hey everybody, my name is Kevin and I run the Phillies blog, Macho Row. Starting today I am continuing my series of World Series phlashbacks with a look at game one of the 1993 World Series. Over the weekend I took a look at each game of the 1915 World Series with the Red Sox and earlier this season I took a look at the 1950 World Series against the Yankees.

Just thought I'd share it with you guys too, in case you haven't seen it yet. Go Phillies!

We Want the Lion in the HOF

Hey everybody. I'm trying to spread the word about helping to get the Nittany Lion enshrined in the Mascot Hall of Fame. I wrote about this over at Nittany White Out but I invite those who support the Nittany Lion to join the new Facebook group as well.

The deadline is coming up and we still need some help from some media personalities if possible. If you are reading this please help get the Nittany Lion recognized!

World Series trophy to attend Penn State basketball game

I posted this over on Black Shoe Diaries as well, but thought I would mention it here as well. For all of you Penn State basketball fans out there...

I would love to see a photo of the Nittany Lion and the trophy. If the Phanatic shows up I would love even more a picture of the two mascots, the best in Pennsylvania, and the trophy.

I have seen the trophy twice but would be in awe of anyone who gets a picture taken with the trophy and the Lion.

For you Phillies fans, the 2008 World Series trophy will be at the February 8th PSU basketball game against Wisconsin.

I would love to see a photo of the Nittany Lion and the trophy. If the Phanatic shows up I would love even more a picture of the two mascots, the best in Pennsylvania, and the trophy.

My Comcast Complaint

I go into more detail over on my blog [link], but wanted to share this thought with you guys here.

If you are a Comcast customer you may be happy about getting the Big Ten Network recently, but are you as mad as I am that it is not in HD with Comcast?

Seriously. I waited this long for the network and now I have to watch it in crappy SD on my nice widescreen HDTV.

I complained to Comcast and voiced my opinion and I hope you fellow Comcast customers will do the same and request for the channel to be added in HD.

Just go to Comcast's feedback page [link] and fill out the form and request for BTN to be available in HD. Maybe one person can't do much good, but if a great number of people do they may think about it. You never know.
