Panthers to L.A.?
I had heard that Jerry Richardson was thinking of selling the team to a group of investors in L.A. This confirms my suspicions that Cam Newton was a play for the sale of the club, not the benefit of the club itself.
I hope I am wrong.
It Has to be Exciting to be a Ram Fan
Bradford looked awesome. If he stays healthy, look out. Love my Hawks, but I am willing to accept reality. Bradford could be the best QB in the NFC West; this year.
Golden Tate Likes Donuts
This made me laugh. Not sure the 'Hawks are laughing, however.
Simple Example of How Coaching Matters
The NY Jets are, or should be, Seattle's model for 2010. Kerry J. Byrne does a nice, and simplistic job of showing the impact of a great mind, whether it be offense or defense. Granted, it could be schedule, but NY plays NE twice, and played the NFC South (Brees), so their passing defense is awesome.
I am a believer that Seattle has talent poorly used. The NY Jets show that talent poorly used fails, and talent used wisely succeeds. Add a little luck, and voila, you're a winner.
Go Hawks!
Mike Holmgren: Tod Leiweke's Hutchinson
Love him or hate him, Mike Holmgren is Seattle football; even today. Regardless of the right or wrongs of a GM hiring in general, let it be known that the next GM had better win, and win quick, or he will have the same quip about being the "Man the let the 'Show' go".
I would suggest that hiring a GM, where rules are in place on what he can do and not do, specifically regarding personnel hires and coaching, will greatly, in a negative fashion, Seattles effort to attract top talent.
If, in fact, Seattle like's the approach, and made Ruskell the martyr, then keep Webster, and let's ride. If not, Leiweke will need to stand down from his position of power a bit, and let a GM be a GM.
Either way, the new guy will be a pariah if he does not win quickly, and Holmgren has any type of success elsewhere.
This should be some interesting, if not tragic, few years of football for Seattle.

And it Begins - Holmgren as GM Rumors
This may simply be "creating" news rather than "reporting" news. This rumor will not go away until Paul Allen makes a decision on our leaderships future.
In my opinion, I just want exciting football. That is my GM choice; a guy that brings excitment.
Knapp Stripped of Play Calling Duties

Not sure what to make of this. Looking forward to everyone's comments.
In honor of the seventy-five word rule, I will postulate that this is simply a really bad scene getting uglier. Personally, I have not looked into Knapp's resume for past success... but I hope our decison on Mr. Knapp is not based on his last years at Atlanta.
