Cueto is a RH, Anderson is a LH

Who would you rate higher on
stuff

who gets to MLB first (sorry if this is a bad question, I can't remember Anderson's age)

who has a greater chance of being a #1 or 2 Starter(or do either even look like that is a possibility)

better makeup(if anyone has seen or heard about this)

Any other thoughts on the two...

Also I saw Angel Villalona is playing again. Has anyone seen him and what are your thoughts, expectations for him?

Thanks,

The NSBL has a sim league opening(SF Giants). The are in rebuilding mode and are being run by the league right now. The league is free, we haven't started yet(problem w/ posting to web using Windows Vista and trying to get it fixed), 50 man roster (25 active/25 reserves). This is our 4th year and the league just keeps getting better. We use Diamond-Mind software(not necessary to join).

Let me know if interested or contact boxcutter on here also if interested.

Thanks

I was reading a list of the Rangers top 20 pitching prospects from Jamey Newberg and was curious if anyone else has seen any of the players he highlighted. CJ Wilson in particular interests me. He looked terrible when he was up with Texas last season but his minor league numbers were decent last season with a high K/9 ratio.

So...basically has anyone else seen CJ Wilson pitch? Any thoughts on his stuff, chances of being a #2 SP as mentioned in the article or do you think Texas will screw the pooch on another pitching prospect?

Thanks in advance...and hope this is OKAY as a post...oh wait, should I draft Wilson in the 50th or wait til the 51st round to pick him up for my 85 round 25 category fantasy league consisting of 1 team.

Thoughts?

I'm considering picking up one of them in one of my Diamond Mind League.

I have a good set of pitchers so I'm leaning towards Tulo but just unsure. I already have Lester and McCarthy and have a solid 4 pitchers already in my rotation. I have little or no depth at the SS position. I have J Uribe right now but no one on reserves.

Thanks for any insight.

Tracy

Napoli catching on?

He is hovering in the .290's in AA...I haven't seen is K numbers which were a problem last year. What does everyone think of his chances at making it first and then catching in the show? Does he look like a guy that will be a starter, backup catcher or a switch to a less challenging position like first base?

Thanks

Tracy

All the talk about catchers got me looking at some others and I was wondering what the thoughts/scouting report were on Mike Napoli...Seems like he has a decent stick with some power...the updates I get show that he has been playing mostly catcher(may have missed a few games so not sure about that though).

How does he profile and does anyone think he will get much of a chance with Mathis ahead of him on the Angel's depth chart....I believe Napoli was available in the rule V draft last year but was not selected by any team.

Thanks for your thoughts on the subject.

I only got to see the 4th inning as I was playing with my kids. Looked like he had a good breaking pitch going in the inning. I came back in the 6th and he was gone.

Thoughts? I'm looking at him or Davies at the #5 spot for my DMB league draft and can't decide between McCarthy and Davies as well as a couple of others.

Tracy

SIM League Draft thoughts?

Drafts are coming up in June in my sim leagues...

In one I have the 5th, 7th, and 8th picks in round 1...

I'm guessing from talking with other GM's that the 1st 4 will be:
Noah Lowry(was overlooked)
Gustavo Chacin
Adam Miller(not sure with injury)
Huston Street

From the following who would you target for my 3 picks and if any of the 4 above slip through would you take them instead....

Kyle Davies
Brandon McCarthy
Brian McCann
Daric Barton
Billy Butler
Thomas Diamond
Yhency Brazoban
Chris Nelson
Jon Papelbon
Dustin Pedroia
Jon Lester
Ryan Sweeney
Reid Brignac
Jorge Cantu
Ruben Gotay
Howie Kendrick
Gio Gonzalez
Phil Hughes
Hayden Penn
Anthony Reyes
JD Martin
Francis Liriano
Willy Taveras
Ryan Sweeney
any College players

There are a ton more available but I tried to highlight the top 20 or so available. I also have the 12th and 13th pick in the 1st round.

Thanks for the thoughts and any ideas...I think I know who I want but thought I'd get opinions from a group I trust.

Tracy
