On Penalty Kicks
I am creating this FanPost based off of an article posted by John Morgan at SB Nation Seattle. The original article can be found here:

My opinion on penalty kicks is contradictory to that of most people's. I actually like the idea of using penalty kicks to decide a game. Here are my reasons why:
1. As a player, I believe that if I hit my penalty where I want it, there's not a keeper that can stop it. A good penalty taker will watch the keeper until just before he hits the ball so he can see if the keeper is cheating to one side. If I don't see the keeper cheating, I will nail my penalty as hard as I can, as close to the post as possible. If the keeper happens to guess the correct way, it is virtually impossible for him to stop it assuming that I hit the penalty where I want to. The keeper simply can't get to a spot that quickly. Therefore, in my opinion, a penalty is not something decided by chance.
2. If the better team cannot separate itself after 120 minutes, a more level playing field is deserved. If I realize that I am on the decidedly worse team at the beginning of overtime, I'm going to want to make it to penalty kicks to give my team a more fighting chance. However, if I'm on the better side, I'm going to do everything in my power to score so that the playing field does not become level.
I posted this on Sounder at Heart to hear from y'all. What are your thoughts? Do you approve or disapprove of them and why?

Thomas Jones is thankful for his offensive line.

I'm drinking the Kool-Aid. I kinda want him.
Jim Mora with Huskies?
Now that Jim Mora Jr. is out of a job, what do you think of him maybe coming to coach for the Huskies? He obviously wouldn't be the HC or DC, but maybe a secondary coach? Mora is a defensive specialist so I don't think he would be in the running for any offensive positions.
If Mora bought a house in Seattle (which would be likely because he was given a big contract with the Seahawks), I think he might be inclined to stay in the area. He was quoted as saying that coaching for the Huskies would be, "his dream job." I know he wouldn't get the position he wants most (HC), but staying in Seattle might sound pretty appealing to him.
Thoughts, anyone?
