Just wanted to post a pic of Fisher with the Kings. You don't see this everyday. I think he's an ok guy OFF the court.

Sactown Royalty Are you guys willing to do this trade?

I didn't see the last game against NY but it seems like a lot of NY fans were raving about Dalembert--guess he played well.

Since Dalembert is not happy here in Sacramento and Anthony Randolph wants out in NY. What about AR and Curry for Dalembert? I know AR has not proven anything in the NBA--heck, he might even have low IQ--but if there's no chance we'd resign Dalembert, why not take a risk on a prospect (is he still considered one?)? As for Curry, he can be a warning to DMC--stay away from the cheeseburgers.

Sactown Royalty Anyone watch Spain v Serbia?

Classic game. Serbia won by 3. I admit, I wanted us to draft Rubio but he was disappointing in this tournament; heck, even Teodosic looked better than him. Evans was the right choice even if some say that the only reason why Petrie chose him was because he was the sure thing. Rubio is a great PG but he couldn't even shoot a good % in this tournaments, what more if he faces the superior shot blockers in the NBA? I'd take the NaPG any day.

Evans schooled a lot of people in this clip--might have gotten away with a palming violation

Oh, and Wall just got crossed by Rivers

Blog a Bull Game Preview #26 - Bulls vs. Sacramento Kings: (Rose vs. Evans)

[In lieu of a proper game preview, I'll promote this FanPost from a few days ago, debating Rose against the Kings' Tyreke Evans.

Even more appropriate of a conversation given their respective late-game heroics over the weekend. It was good to see Rose wake up near the end of Saturday's improbable victory over the Hawks. But whenever I see Rose go coast-to-coast and power his way towards a lay-in, I'm simultaneously impressed yet miffed that he doesn't do that more often. It doesn't help that other late-game possessions involve him waltzing up to the top and passing it to Luol Deng so he can 'isolate'.

Not that I can be that hard on the kid until he gets a real coach. But still, Evans already is the more efficient scorer, and seeks contact. Rose has other strengths, but has yet to do that, and this team (it can't be overstated how bad Hinrich and Salmons have been this season) needs it. -ed.]

Question from a Kings fan:

First, I just wanted to say that I think you did the right thing when you drafted Derrick Rose over Michael Beasley. That's why I'm sad that he's not performing well this season. What gives? Is it the coach, how the teams are playing him or is he just playing really bad?

Tyreke Evans has been compared to Derrick Rose. I know Rose is more athletic but do you see any similarities in their game? Is Rose is a legit PG?

For my last question, I know it's too early to ask this but given what you have seen from Rose and Evans, if you had a choice, would you build a franchise around Rose or Evans? Please explain why. Thanks.

Timberwolves guard Jonny Flynn had nothing but praise for fellow rookie Tyreke Evans on Saturday night.

Sacramento defeated Minnesota 120-100 at Arco Arena.

"He's a big, strong guard, crafty, always has scoring on his mind," said Flynn. "I think if they put the right lineup out there, he could probably play power forward, too. Not center, but maybe power forward. He's just so big for a guard. He's going to be a great player."

-o-

Sounds like Flynn doesn't want Tyreke to play PG LOL

Kings rookie forward Omri Casspi has denied reports that he was a sniper for the Israeli army.

"I don't know where that rumor started," Casspi told the Jewish Journal. "I wasn't a sniper. It's not true. I was in basic training. But I did hold a gun, and I shot a lot."

Turnover galore baby! We might not win but we'll surely be fun to watch ;)

"ason Williams is seriously considering a return to the NBA less than a year after retiring following a career that saw him play with Sacramento, Memphis, Miami and the Clippers.

"The free agency period opens up July 1, and I should be good to go then," Williams told the Daily Mail.

"If I do decide to play, I'd like to play two or three more years. That's about it.

"I'm not 100 percent that I'll play again, but it's more than 50/50 that I'm going to try. But if it doesn't happen, trust me, I won't lose any sleep."

Grizzles general manager Chris Wallace says that the team won't listen to any outsiders regarding the second pick.

"If we want (Rubio), we're going to take him," Wallace told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. "We wouldn't have taken a 10-hour flight to Spain if we didn't have interest in him."

Wallace sent the same message to Stephen Curry and Jonny Flynn, who both refused workouts in Memphis.

First, it was Evans to MEM. Now, it's DeRozan to OKC. I don't care as long as Rubio drops!

"Rumors are circulating that the Thunder could use the third overall pick on USC's DeMar DeRozan.

Oklahoma would play him alongside Kevin Durant, Jeff Green and Russell Westbrook, a lineup that has DeRozan excited.

"That would be great. It would feel good to be in a lineup like that. Kevin Durant's one of the best players in the league, and that would be an opportunity to help build a program from the ground up," DeRozan told HoopsWorld.

"I think we could put Oklahoma City on the map as a top team in the next few years. Playing with a star player would also really help my career. Playing with someone like Kevin Durant, who's been there and remembers what it takes as a rookie to get where you want to go, that would be great because he just did it. I'd love to play with Kevin and help him build his team up."

I don't believe it though but I'll be happy if ever they do take him at #2

"There are whispers the Memphis Grizzlies, who have the second overall pick, could take Memphis guard Tyreke Evans. ... Darren Collison on Jrue Holiday, his teammate at UCLA: "He has so much potential, it's scary.''

I really don't mind drafting guys with a chip on their shoulders.

"Tyler Hansbrough doesn't care where he is drafted next month, and feels he has a lot of doubters to prove wrong.

"Doubt me all you want, but I think I have a lot to prove," Hansbrough told the Associated Press.

He averaged 20.3 points and 8.6 rebounds in his career at North Carolina, and many have projected him a middle first-round pick.

"I'm not worried about it," Hansbrough said. "It's just a bunch of people saying whatever they want. I think I'll prove a lot of people wrong.

"They kind of doubted me in high school and said I wouldn't be a good college player. I'll bet a lot of people wouldn't have thought I would have wound up being the ACC all-time leading scorer. They can doubt me or whatever, but I got the job done and won a national championship."

With Blake Griffin considered the only sure-fire top pick, many regard this year's draft class as one of the worst in recent memory.

One Eastern Conference president took the assessment one step further.

"This could be one of the worst drafts ever," said the president. "Of course, we're coming off two pretty good drafts."

Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio and Connecticut's Hasheem Thabeet are considered by many to be the best options after Griffin.

Sactown Royalty Ron Artest

I've been  following the Lakers-Rockets match very closely and I've grown really fond of Ron Artest. It seems like he's not the Ron that we knew and he has really matured in a span of one year. He was interviewed after getting ejected in the second game and I like how he answered questions and explained what happened. He seemed like (dare I say it?) a very sane and intelligent person. The worst part was that he didn't even deserved to be ejected, it's just that his reputation precedes him. I would love to have this version of Ron on our team any day. I have said this a dozen of times before but I wish we never let Adelman go. Any coach who can make Ron Artest respect and play hard for him is a very good coach IMO.

There is growing concern in the Kings organization that if their arena issue isn't resolved, they could end up leaving Sacramento for Anaheim, according to a league executive.

Anaheim, which has successfully hosted Lakers exhibition games and Clippers regular-season tilts, has wanted a team of their own for quite some time.

The Lakers and Clippers, however, could challenge the league for territorial rights fees, with Anaheim being one of their major supporting markets.

There were rumors around the trading deadline last month that the Kings made the Knicks an offer for Nate Robinson, but other teams reportedly made a play for the guard as well.

The Lakers and Thunder also called the Knicks about Robinson, according to league sources.

Former NBA coach Paul Silas said on Saturday that he'd like to coach at least one more time before he's done.

"I'd like to give it [one] more go before I'm done," Silas said. "I'd love to help a team get back to respectability or take them to the next level. I've done it in the past, and I know I can do it again."

The Maloof Brothers may have come up with a way to get their team back into the national spotlight.

Maloof Productions is partnering with reality icon Mark Burnett for a behind-the-scenes program called "Rebuilding the Kingdom" on all things Kings.

"It's a good idea," Kings' rookie Jason Thompson said. "We have a lot of young guys, and (our lives) intrigue a lot of people, especially rookies' lives. We have guys who aren't shy to the camera. We have a lot of personalities, and guys who like to have fun."

Sactown Royalty Kings are looking at Denham Brown?

Ex-UConn wing Denham Brown is playing in Bismarck, N.D., but could get a future call-up from the Kings

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/2008/11/15/2008-11-15_danilo_gallinari_injury_stalls_knick_reb.html

I know this is from the daily news and it should be taken with  a grain of salt but has anybody heard anything about this? Is this because of Cisco or Kev's injury? Should I be worried? If you ask me, Jason is doing a good job playing with the starters. Besides, we have Donte Green, why in the world are we looking to add another scoring SF?

Sactown Royalty OT: Devin Harris gets hustled

I'm sure some of you have already seen this since it was in Yahoo's main page yesterday but it's a very fun video. I think Devin handled the situation well hehehe

Via TrueHoop, comes this humbling clip of Nets point guard Devin Harris playing a quick game of one-on-one against some random English chap in jeans and a v-neck sweater. The outcome is surprising, to say the least.

Sactown Royalty Artest apologized

I don't know about you guys but I like the fact that he apologized and that he's willing to be a professional and move on. I hope it lasts

Sam Amick story

Ron Artest sent an e-mail apology out to the Kings on Monday just one week after expressing regret over his decision not to opt out and enter free agency, according to The Sacramento Bee.

"I do apologize for being mistakenly frustrated with the Kings," Artest wrote in the e-mail. "It was a mistake that I made and I will move on from."

Apparently, Artest believed that remaining in Sacramento this season would give him the chance to sign a long-term, lucrative extension, but the team reportedly isn't interested in giving him that kind of contract.

"I had wrong info about extension options and it could have cost me a new deal," Artest wrote. "I was informed that the Kings had me in their long-term plans, so that's why I decided to stay in contract. I just wanted to show loyalty."

"However, when I spoke to the Kings, that was not an option and I grew frustrated with my decision immediately," he added.
