The Maloof Brothers may have come up with a way to get their team back into the national spotlight.

Maloof Productions is partnering with reality icon Mark Burnett for a behind-the-scenes program called "Rebuilding the Kingdom" on all things Kings.

"It's a good idea," Kings' rookie Jason Thompson said. "We have a lot of young guys, and (our lives) intrigue a lot of people, especially rookies' lives. We have guys who aren't shy to the camera. We have a lot of personalities, and guys who like to have fun."

Kings are looking at Denham Brown?

Ex-UConn wing Denham Brown is playing in Bismarck, N.D., but could get a future call-up from the Kings

I know this is from the daily news and it should be taken with a grain of salt but has anybody heard anything about this? Is this because of Cisco or Kev's injury? Should I be worried? If you ask me, Jason is doing a good job playing with the starters. Besides, we have Donte Green, why in the world are we looking to add another scoring SF?

I'm sure some of you have already seen this since it was in Yahoo's main page yesterday but it's a very fun video. I think Devin handled the situation well hehehe

Via TrueHoop, comes this humbling clip of Nets point guard Devin Harris playing a quick game of one-on-one against some random English chap in jeans and a v-neck sweater. The outcome is surprising, to say the least.

Artest apologized

I don't know about you guys but I like the fact that he apologized and that he's willing to be a professional and move on. I hope it lasts

Sam Amick story

Ron Artest sent an e-mail apology out to the Kings on Monday just one week after expressing regret over his decision not to opt out and enter free agency, according to The Sacramento Bee.

"I do apologize for being mistakenly frustrated with the Kings," Artest wrote in the e-mail. "It was a mistake that I made and I will move on from."

Apparently, Artest believed that remaining in Sacramento this season would give him the chance to sign a long-term, lucrative extension, but the team reportedly isn't interested in giving him that kind of contract.

"I had wrong info about extension options and it could have cost me a new deal," Artest wrote. "I was informed that the Kings had me in their long-term plans, so that's why I decided to stay in contract. I just wanted to show loyalty."

"However, when I spoke to the Kings, that was not an option and I grew frustrated with my decision immediately," he added.

Ouch, who's more cursed, them or us?

I mean that Robert Horry shot was horrible but they actually reached the finals and choked (lost to MIA when they had a 2-0 lead), had the best record last yr but lost to GS in the first round and now they lose Dirk in a very competitive western conference. Some fans actually want to become a lottery team and tank rather than reach the playoffs and get bounced in the first round (something I don't understand because I think the Nets have their 1st round pick). I pity them, they traded their young stud for a chance to win now with Kidd. Out future actually seems brighter than theirs.

Rumor: Bibby to the Hawks?

Has anyone heard of this rumor?

Hawks fans say that it was on a Fox Sports Radio Rookie/Soph pre-game show and that the deal is almost finalized. The rumor is bibby for Shelden Williams, Salim Stoudamire and other fillers (I'm guessing their expiring contracts are included - they have a ton). I know Shelden hasn't proven that he's worth the 5th pick of his draft class and that we could probably get more for Bibby but I wouldn't mind having Williams to man our 4 (he still has time). This also clears Mike's salary of our books.

Also, they are talking about it in this Hawks Blog, although the deal was not stated implicitly. What do you guys think and who would you want from the Hawks if ever there is any truth to this rumor?

Discuss

The best team under .500

I've read in a forum that most non-Kings fans consider us the best Western team (some even say we're the best team) with a record below .500.

Looking at the western bottom-dwellers, I'd be really surprised if they chose a different team. My question is do they consider us the best because we have a decent record despite being injured (and the fact that we have our starters back means we're a better team) or is it because our young guys played hard and was able to defeat better teams despite us not having our starters. I know they basically sound the same but I think we're still pretty good even if we trade Mike and Artest for expiring contracts (maybe even better). Thoughts?

Artest to have surgery

Kings forward Ron Artest will need surgery for a chipped bone in his right elbow.

A timetable for the procedure and his return have yet to be determined.

Artest, who missed the first seven games this season while serving a suspension and one other to be with his sick daughter, sat out Friday's loss to the 76ers because of the injury.

Just when we were actually having fun this season, this happens :( So, what now? Do we now trade Mike for someone or keep him for the rest of the season because this would surely ruin Artest's trade value
