Rubio and Williams anyone?

Turnover galore baby! We might not win but we'll surely be fun to watch ;)

"ason Williams is seriously considering a return to the NBA less than a year after retiring following a career that saw him play with Sacramento, Memphis, Miami and the Clippers.

"The free agency period opens up July 1, and I should be good to go then," Williams told the Daily Mail.

"If I do decide to play, I'd like to play two or three more years. That's about it.

"I'm not 100 percent that I'll play again, but it's more than 50/50 that I'm going to try. But if it doesn't happen, trust me, I won't lose any sleep."

Grizzles general manager Chris Wallace says that the team won't listen to any outsiders regarding the second pick.

"If we want (Rubio), we're going to take him," Wallace told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. "We wouldn't have taken a 10-hour flight to Spain if we didn't have interest in him."

Wallace sent the same message to Stephen Curry and Jonny Flynn, who both refused workouts in Memphis.

DeRozan to OKC?

DeRozan to OKC?

First, it was Evans to MEM. Now, it's DeRozan to OKC. I don't care as long as Rubio drops!

"Rumors are circulating that the Thunder could use the third overall pick on USC's DeMar DeRozan.

Oklahoma would play him alongside Kevin Durant, Jeff Green and Russell Westbrook, a lineup that has DeRozan excited.

"That would be great. It would feel good to be in a lineup like that. Kevin Durant's one of the best players in the league, and that would be an opportunity to help build a program from the ground up," DeRozan told HoopsWorld.

"I think we could put Oklahoma City on the map as a top team in the next few years. Playing with a star player would also really help my career. Playing with someone like Kevin Durant, who's been there and remembers what it takes as a rookie to get where you want to go, that would be great because he just did it. I'd love to play with Kevin and help him build his team up."

I don't believe it though but I'll be happy if ever they do take him at #2

"There are whispers the Memphis Grizzlies, who have the second overall pick, could take Memphis guard Tyreke Evans. ... Darren Collison on Jrue Holiday, his teammate at UCLA: "He has so much potential, it's scary.''

Hansbrough wants to disprove doubts

Hansbrough wants to disprove doubts

I really don't mind drafting guys with a chip on their shoulders.

"Tyler Hansbrough doesn't care where he is drafted next month, and feels he has a lot of doubters to prove wrong.

"Doubt me all you want, but I think I have a lot to prove," Hansbrough told the Associated Press.

He averaged 20.3 points and 8.6 rebounds in his career at North Carolina, and many have projected him a middle first-round pick.

"I'm not worried about it," Hansbrough said. "It's just a bunch of people saying whatever they want. I think I'll prove a lot of people wrong.

"They kind of doubted me in high school and said I wouldn't be a good college player. I'll bet a lot of people wouldn't have thought I would have wound up being the ACC all-time leading scorer. They can doubt me or whatever, but I got the job done and won a national championship."

Worst Draft Ever?

With Blake Griffin considered the only sure-fire top pick, many regard this year's draft class as one of the worst in recent memory.

One Eastern Conference president took the assessment one step further.

"This could be one of the worst drafts ever," said the president. "Of course, we're coming off two pretty good drafts."

Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio and Connecticut's Hasheem Thabeet are considered by many to be the best options after Griffin.
===
Just our luck!

Ron Artest

I've been following the Lakers-Rockets match very closely and I've grown really fond of Ron Artest. It seems like he's not the Ron that we knew and he has really matured in a span of one year. He was interviewed after getting ejected in the second game and I like how he answered questions and explained what happened. He seemed like (dare I say it?) a very sane and intelligent person. The worst part was that he didn't even deserved to be ejected, it's just that his reputation precedes him. I would love to have this version of Ron on our team any day. I have said this a dozen of times before but I wish we never let Adelman go. Any coach who can make Ron Artest respect and play hard for him is a very good coach IMO.

Anaheim Kings?

There is growing concern in the Kings organization that if their arena issue isn't resolved, they could end up leaving Sacramento for Anaheim, according to a league executive.

Anaheim, which has successfully hosted Lakers exhibition games and Clippers regular-season tilts, has wanted a team of their own for quite some time.

The Lakers and Clippers, however, could challenge the league for territorial rights fees, with Anaheim being one of their major supporting markets.
