Good-bye, Mr. Baseball: Bobby Bragan dies at age 92
http://www.star-telegram.com/news/story/1913140.html
Sad day in Fort Worth, Texas and across the baseball world. Branch Rickey, Brooklyn's front office, decided to bring Jackie Robinson to the Major leagues and Bobby told him it was a bad move. After one road trip he returned and said it will be an honor to play with Jackie and became his biggest supporter.
Rickey made Bobby the manager of the Fort Worth Cats a AA Dodger farm team. He worked his way up to being a big league manager.
Along the way, he managed future Hall of Fame players such as Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente, Bill Mazeroski, Warren Spahn and Eddie Mathews.
