Summer two-a-days help Rose & Friends turn potential into polish
It says they started their workouts in May. From what I remember, Reke didn't start working with them on his jump shot till either late June/early July. I hope he's learned that he's gotta put that work in early.

How Does Offensive Efficiency Change Throughout the Season?
Found this via At the Hive. APBRmetrics' graph shows the league average of how team offensive efficiency changes as the weeks go by. Hopefully the Kings can trend upwards as well. Notes and interpretations can be seen at the APBRmetrics link above.
VIdeo of Ricky Rubio's possessions from his game with Caja Laboral 11/20/10. There's an intro song before the actual in game highlights.
"When you don’t get to grow up as a unit," he said, "it can be frustrating. That takes a few years. As far as Kevin, he’s going to learn his way. When you are young like this, you are thinking about how I’m going to get mine and how I’m going to establish myself as a player. And unless you are surrounded by intense veterans who are winners, you are going to stub your toe along the way and these guys are no exception.
"He’s very young, yes, and that’s a positive and a negative. You are so young you want to get out of the bad habits you pick up because you don’t know any different. And quite frankly being on a team where he hasn’t won that’ll wear you down and you don’t want to get into that rut early in your career."
Good quote from Bill Laimbeer on Kevin Love, but you could insert any of our young players' names into where his name is, and it's still relevant.

Don't Lay on Tyreke Evans Couch
I was looking through Evans highlight clips and I found this video of Evans' lighter side; there's also a part two. I don't know how old it is, but it is what it is. October isn't arriving fast enough for me.

Amick: Rubio on-floor work delayed, possibly canceled
"The Spanish point guard who arrived Tuesday afternoon has become sick today, meaning an afternoon hoops session at the Kings practice facility is not expected to take place. Rubio, who is here only to gauge the Kings' interest in him at the No. 4 spot in the June 25 draft, may attempt to give it a go tomorrow morning. Or, of course, he may not."

TrueHoop's take on Rondo for the fourth pick and JT
"Would you do it? The Kings assets are real, but Rondo is a champion, one of the league's best young point guards at both ends of the floor, and only a few months older than Thompson. My best guess is that if Rondo's really on the block, this offer from the Kings is low."
Q: Guys you came up with, Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans, they’ve mostly been shooting guards, but it seems like teams are planning on drafting them and turning them into point guards. Do you think that can be done? Can those guys be converted?
A: No, I don’t think so. To be a point guard, it has to be in you. I don’t think you can suddenly be a point guard after one year. You are the leader, you are the quarterback, and that takes a lot of understanding. You have to make the right play, you have to run a team, you have to be a leader, you have to see things out there on the court. People might say, "He can be a point guard in the league." But that is a hard transition. You have to know how to do it. You have to be the one to take the heat when things don’t go right.
Chad Ford on Brandon Jennings
A really good article on Brandon Jennings; explains a lot about his experience and why he may have skipped the Treviso camp.
