Legit Trade?
This is my first fanpost and I thought I'd write about this interesting trade that I saw off of bleacherreport.com
Chris Paul is demanding New Orleans provide him more firepower to contend for a title or else he's threatening to abandon ship (sound familiar?) James Bondman, the columnist of the article, proposed a pretty good trade. For all three teams involved i must say.
Monta is a huge upgrade for the Hornets over Marcus Thornton. Brandon Wright should be a decent backup for David West at power forward, but I think he would be better off backing up Peja at SF.
Orlando gets CP3 and Okafor. The best point guard in the league paired with the best center should create some havoc for Miami/Lakers/Boston. Okafor will be the perfect backup for Howard. Or he can start and an Orlando lineup of Paul/Redick/R.Lewis/Okafor/Howard would be pretty sweet.
Last, but not least, the Warriors. We get Jameer Nelson and Vince Carter. Only problem is, Jameer Nelson is listed as 6-0. So playing against the Heat or Lakers, Wade and Kobe would have a field day against a GSW backcourt of Curry and Nelson. But other than that, Carter is a MAJOR MAJOR upgrade at the position we need to solidify the most and Dorrel Wright would provide decent SF backup to Carter. But i think with a roster of Nelson/Curry/Carter/Lee/Biedrins would give the Dubs a very decent chance of becoming the third, or maybe even the second best team in the West.
Of course, please keep in mind that this is my first ever post on this site and I do expect criticism, thanks for hearing me out.
