Baltimore Beat Down Paul Kruger

I'm just wondering what Kruger's situation is, because it could make the draft a lot easier. If he is bulking up like (I think) originally planned when he was drafted, then we have a lot more flexibility at DE and can probably wait in the draft for more depth. I mean we will have Ngata, Gregg, Pryce, Redding, and Kruger all along the D-Line, which I don't think is too bad.

Baltimore Beat Down Coincidence?

That the Ravens play the Colts the same weekend that "The Blind Side" is released as a movie?

For those of you who have not read the book, it ends with a reporter interviewing Dwight Freeney (a few years ago when he was viewed as the best pass rushing defensive end in the league) and telling him that Michael Oher had proclaimed, "I could take Dwight Freeney right now." Freeney kind of smiles and shakes it off but the reporter then gives a description of Oher's career (only has been playing since senior year of high school, best LT prospect in years, etc.) and Freeney stops smiling and asks:

"What's his name again?"

"Michael Oher"

"You tell Michael Oher I'll be waiting for him."

Coincidence? I think not!

I am pretty excited even though Gaither will go up against Freeney most of the time, Oher should have a few shots at him. I also doubt that the exchange between Freeney and the reporter will be in the movie, as well as a lot of the stuff about the evolution of the pass rush and left tackle, which is a huge part of the book. Michael's story is great in itself though so it could be pretty good.

Baltimore Beat Down Oher or Gaither

I think Oher has been doing really well so far at LT, and was wondering what everyone else though about keeping him at LT when Gaither gets back from injury. Based on their size I think that Oher might be better suited for LT and Gaither for RT because of his huge size and run blocking. Obviously I might get the "Ogden was 6'9" at LT, but well, I think all of us Ravens fans might be a little spoiled because of that. Also I just think it would be kind of cool because of "The Blind Side" where Oher kind of says (I haven't read the book yet, but I remember reading this part of it somewhere) that he is looking forward to playing Dwight Freeney in the pros, and towards the end of the book Freeney responds, "I'll be waiting". And since we play the Colts pretty soon, I just think that would be awesome.
