Suns Lopez out 6-8 weeks w/ broken foot
Likely means Channing will start. That is, unless Clark starts at PF and Amare moves to Center.

Tayshaun Prince: 3 Team Trade
I haven't seen a trade drawer today so I'll just post this as a Fan Shot... to save the suspense, it nets us Prince and Maxiell.
Here you go - link
PHOENIX: Amir Johnson, Outlaw and Sergio would be more valuable to Kerr if D'Antoni were still the coach, but they are each young and talented, and on good contracts. Petteri is cheap potential (how many young players does KP need). Kerr thinks he can do better (and he may be right), but if he's wrong, this might be a decent deadline deal. Maybe KP can throw in a 2011 or 2012 1st rd pick (and/or some 2nd's this summer) to woo him over. That's what the cash is for, right? Who knows maybe Dumars will chip in too.
DETROIT: Amare would be a nice pillar alongside Stuckey for the next decade or so. Sure he may not re-sign in 2010, but he'll get plenty of offensive opportunities there and that's his first priority. We'll assume he'll get used to the weather, and with some personal and team success he will probably stay. Grant Hill has threatened to retire if traded, but given his respect for Dumars and the chance to finish his career where it started, not to mention one last playoff shot, I think he might do it (NOT THAT HIS PERMISSION IS NEEDED). Dragic is a potentially decent backup and Freeland gives them some young help at the backup 4/5 spots that they lose in Johnson and Maxiell.
PORTLAND: Are you serious, do I really need to explain this? We all know these guys are perfect for this team. We get a borderline All Star-level small forward with championship experience and stellar defensive ability. He can train Batum in the arts of the force, and when his contract is up in 2-and-a-half years, he'll either walk, or re-sign and become a role player behind Nic. Maxiell will be our rugged backup 4 for years.
Now I love KP's stash of assets; the 2nd rd draft choices this summer, Koponen, Freeland, etc., but Tay and Max seem like pretty good reasons to cash in those chips, agreed? We instantly improve our D and our experience (2 major flaws with our current roster).
What do you all think? Who turns it down? Should Martell be included to avoid a log jam? Should it be a 4-team deal to get Phoenix a more sure-fire young stud? Will I keep typing questions??? Or should we just call Colangelo and offer LMA, Outlaw, Freeland and Sergio for Bosh (if he extends)?
PS - In case you missed Chad Ford's Amare/Shaq trade article, here's the link.
