I have been a Rockies fan since December 9, 1992 - the day that Greg Maddux walked away from the Cubs. I'm not sure why I didn't follow Maddux to the Braves ... I guess I just wanted a fresh break.
I'm a traditionalist in a lot of ways (get rid of the DH) but am also a fan of the newer approaches to analysis (OBP instead of BA, hard stats in place of "tools", placing more value on defensive range than strictly fielding percentage.)
I live in Iowa, so I've only been to Coors once - but it was this game, which made it pretty cool:

I haven't been to a ton of MLB games, but I have been to a few parks - Coors, Wrigley, Old Comiskey, Old Busch (playoff game). I have also been to minor league games in Peoria, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and Akron. I took a (LONG) road trip to the Hall of Fame in 2002. Fascinating place - I spent a few days there.
I work as a computer systems analyst for an insurance company. I'm married with two young kids. I'm already lecturing my daughter (age 5 ... my profile photo is old) on the evils of the DH. My son is 3 ... probably time to have "the talk" with him.
